You hit the nail on the head dude. You can never have enough vintage Kenner. Even if it’s something you already have 20 of already. It’s almost an addiction. I get a little rush every time I pick up something new (vintage). Even if if I have no intention of keeping it. And that’s awesome about the new SS figures in the pipeline. I hadn’t seen anything about those yet. Looks like I’ll be having another preorder.
Toys and collecting are an amazing area of the world. And buying what you as a collector holds value in your heart.....and may one day have more value.....is just a bonus. From one collector( of many thing's) ......BUY WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY. What comes down the road price and collectable wise is just a added bonus
And honesty.....love the realistic and logical aspect you present on collecting. Mighty fine to see just a collector.....just collecting. Hard to find now a days( and no i dont care what others say.....there not the same as you and many others) Much love from 21001.
I'm the same way, I don't want to stop. I'm always collecting multiples of my favorites. :) Hoping to finally get an Ewok glider and the Hoth Turret playset here soon. It's about time! :) Found then both for a good low price. Excited for the upcoming video on the customs. :) Thanks for the video
I like that you are so open to everyone just doing their thing. I have the complete line of Kenner but "scratch my itch" with the Hasbro Vintage Collection and LEGO Star Wars minifigures. That works for me, what works for you works for you. So be it. In general though, the community is awesome, no whatever what you all collect!
Hadn't heard about the upcoming Stan Solo offerings, but they all sound amazing. I took am jazzed. I'm in the same position as you, having the entire collection loose and on display, but I love hunting vintage either way.
GQJ, whatever you might think of me is of no matter whatsoever. But i think you are a seriously cool dude. Yea, Star Wars is kinda nerdy in a way, but you have genuine, honest passion for your collection hobby and you approach it all with a completely reasonable logic and reasonable focus, that others sadly don't. You are THE go-to guy for me, when i wanna nerd-out to things from my much loved childhood. Hope that your day is brilliant.
You said you live in LA. I live in SD. Do you think it’s worth a trip to go to Frank and Sons (if you’ve ever been) in LA to search for Kenner Star Wars toys? Hit or miss type of thing?
You know, I've never been. I hear it's really expensive there. Might be worth a trip just to see a warehouse full of toys. I would probably just window shop if I went. LOL.
I agree. The last Star Wars lot that I bought off of Facebook marketplace, I had a nice talk (he was chatting) with the guy and how he liked playing with them. It was nice listening to him talk about them, especially the part where his little sister chewed on farmer boy Luke’s light saber!😬😄
Yep also got the dagobah luke ordered.cant wait.agree with you on pricing i couldnt tell you what ive paid for mine and dont care.although i do tell my wife its an investment everytime i buy a figure just to keep her quiet when its not
I'd like to see the Luke Endor - with removable helmet, from STAN SOLO CREATIONS. That's the one I'm waiting for. Could also use a spare helmet for another of my Leia Endor figures.
@@GQJedi It was planned a while ago. still no movement on it though. There's even a sample of the cardback photo art (much more impressive than the 1985 Kenner effort).
Enjoying your content! Maybe you need 2 cantinas. Place them back to back. Just got that idea watching ur vid and I've been play with this toy line since 81. My cantina is over code, i am sure. I think...ya i might get a second cantina too. It would be realistic because it would make full circle bar like in the movie. Just have cardboard cutting it in 2...lol
Glad to hear you're enjoying the channel. 2 cantinas? Hmmm. That's not a bad idea. If only I had the display room in my collection to make that a reality. Sigh.
I hear you on the thrill of the hunt. Picked up an incomplete Kenner Dagobah playset a few months back. Just located the crates and ordered them for my birthday. My sister is buying me the repro swamp foam and all ready to go!
there are few figures like cobra troops from gijoe i will buy over and over for cheap but i have no problem buying good condition cheap star wars figures i already have. i never look at them as culprits of sucking up room. even my least favorites. like Lobot. shhh dont tell him. he might be sad.
@@GQJedi They're micro! They take up micro room! 😆 In '82 I fell in love with these and forgot about 3.75" for awhile. I had the whole set bar the Falcon. Super bummed when they discontinued the line into ROTJ, especally when it was promised! 🤬 The main reason (other than love and nostalgia) I still have them, and didn't purge them with all my non 3.75" stuff is because I had nearly a complete set. I never lost or broke a piece either, although a lot of the figures got a lot of paint dings, that part is costing me to upgrade 🙄 Fun though!

Can never have to much vintage Star Wars. And with all the up and coming custom creators out there the adventure never ends.
Always something new and exciting to look forward to!
I didn’t know about Stan Solo doing the Tonnika sisters! Awesome!!
Yessir. They are coming down the pipeline sometime in the near future.
Sometimes I still get some of the original Kenner figures hahahaha
Thank you! I just found out about the Stan Solo Tonnika Sisters!
Cheers!

The addiction is very real. For many of us.
Great vid as always man 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching, Scott!
Which color lightsaber will you get for Dagobah Luke? Or will you get both?
Will try and get both maybe. Hard to choose! Haha

Much love from 21001.
I just do my thing. As I always encourage others to do as well. Thank you.
Some of them are good for army building like Jawa's and Tusken Raiders
Absolutely! Kenner is gold, no matter where or how you display it.
The new Chris Smith figurines sounds exciting can,t hartley wait.
Me too my man!

Yessir. The chats and stories are gold, my man. Enjoy every moment.
From the lop Droids line I Just picked up a Tig fromm on card Unpunched For Six hundred and fifty dollars.
Dang! That's a pretty decent deal. Congrats!
Everytime you mention getting Negativity I'm enticed to Thank You for your videos and thoughts.
Thank you, Sir.
even though I don't have all of the Kenner Star Wars figures I want to, and I totally understand wanting more. Great video, love your content.
Happy to hear that you are enjoying the channel. Don't miss tomorrow's video which drops at 7am PST / 10am EST!
Stan Solo also makes a movie accurate Greedo, which will fit nice in the Speeder 9000 😊
Yes! Greedo is also in the works.
Oh cool some more customs huh
Yessir.

Gotta tell the lady whatever is necessary. LOL. I get it.
The movie accurate Greedo from Stan Solo as well.
Correct!
Hi i just wanted to ask you do you have all of Stan Solos figures he has released keep up the great videos my friend.
I do not. I missed out on some of the earlier droid figures. Came to the SS party late I’m afraid but I have about 30 or so of his figures in total.
I'd like to see the Luke Endor - with removable helmet, from STAN SOLO CREATIONS. That's the one I'm waiting for. Could also use a spare helmet for another of my Leia Endor figures.
Anything is possible with Stan Solo. Maybe he'll make it happen. Perhaps he won't. Either way, because of him, we've gotten so much joy.

Now you've gone and crossed the line. Lobot is going to be so pissed when he finds out about what you've said.
@@GQJedi I just saw the cut away. he opened his eyes and a computer start up sound went off. I think he is after me

For Gen Xers, the original Star Wars era (1977-1996) is not just a hobby.. its a way of life
Agreed 100%
New stan solo sweet
Yep!
