I hope to see more custom vehicles being made. Recently I discovered the work of GreeblerElf. He has a few great designs like a kenner version of the Dantive 4...

One thing that came up with me and a friend one night, for at least a decade UA-camrs have done nothing but try to sell us this and that. When some of us just want to share our joy the more dim witted get all bent out of shape because they think you are trying to to sell them whatever the video is about, which is furthest thing from the truth. I notice too, these guys have no tact, they cannot disagree with you in a respectful way and just say "OK not for me"or whatever and let you have your joy. The arguments over custom toys, reproductions, bootlegs etc. cracks me up. I'm so glad that your videos talk about what you like regardless of what it is. I'm glad that the FB groups I am one of the admins of don't get into those arguments. We like all Star Wars toys, even the fan made stuff.
I gave Disney a chance with the sequels and stories, but gave up on them after how bad the second season of The Mandilorian was. I rewatch every Star Wars movie at least once every year, but the sequels and Star Wars story movies are hard to rewatch. Rogue One was pretty good - for a Disney movie, but still not as good as the movies Lucas made.

Everyone who knows me knows my feelings about Chris Smith of Stan Solo Creations. But I have never told anybody not to buy his figures just because I'm not a fan of the person in charge. His figures are unquestionably some of the best out there. Why wouldn't you want them in your collection? And it's YOUR collection! You gotta love all these gatekeepers and their moral stances 🙄

To be fair, occasionally I'll see a Stan Solo product on your video that I initially passed on, that I go and buy after your review. So.... 🤣
But seriously, some folks are just too serious & sensative. Everyone should collect how they see fit.
I personally feel that our hobby has been made better with high quality customs and folks like Stan Solo/Next 17 that put out great products that further enhance our vintage collections, putting out items that are expensive or go beyond what was originally released.
It would be one thing if there were people that were trying to pass off these items as originals or purposely making customs to try to fool buyers into thinking their original, but for the most part that's not happening.

I left FB toy groups years ago and they have the same problems: unnecessary drama, price gouging, spamming of non-toy content and overall immature attitude from a lot of people in general. I have no need of this immature stuff. I sometimes use FB to buy toys from legit sellers nowadays anyway.
As for bootleg stuff, I have very few of them but that's just for my own and I have no plans to sell them for obvious reasons.
You gotta do you. If I preach anything on this channel, it's that. Do your own thing and screw the haters.

I enjoy your Videos! I have a combination of Classic 77'-84' figures, Retro Collection Figures, as well as repro weapons for those figures.
I get a kick out of seeing Creative 3D prints of Playsets, Vehicles and Figures that Hasbro probably will never make. So keep on Posting, and disregard the Ultra-Conservative, Judgemental Collectors. This is supposed to be a fun Hobby, not a Competition. 🙂

i was two and a half when i got my first figure: a palitoys 12" R2 in england. i was 18 in seattle and just about to dig it all out of the basement when my mom donated my entire collection to Salvation Army
Gen X was born 1965-1980, so if a kid was born in, say, 1978 and was 5 years old when ROTJ hit theaters in 1983 then he is 46 years old now, not in his 50s. If you seeing Star Wars at age 5 in 1977 is legitimate "OG fan" then so is your fellow Gen X kid who saw E.T. and Jedi at 5 yo. in 1982 and 1983.
The Gen X kid born in 1965/66 was 12 when Star Wars hit theaters in 1977, should he consider a 5 yo like you "og fan?" or not??
Star Wars was a Generation X thing overall, a 40 year old wasn't even born yet lol. The oldest Xer is 59 and the youngest is 44.
Imagine a 13 year old who saw SW in '77 (Boomer generation) and now in his 60s, would HE consider you "og fan" or not?
In my estimation, if you were born in the 1960s or 1970s, you're an OG Fan. You remember seeing SW in the theater.

Great video man! I wanted to weigh in on the Disney ownership thing, they can just stick it! Disney sucks! I tried to give them a chance and I feel they totally screw the fans at every chance they get. As far as I'm concerned there's a distinct difference between George Lucas SW and Disney SW. I sold off most of the Disney Wars crap I had and only focus on Lucas era items. I hope Disney falls apart and someone who truly cares about the fans and audience buys them out;

I bought my Son a Bobba Fett gor $80 bucks at a flea market, it wS some kind of collectable that fired missile from wrist rocket. I looked it up on ebay after, the same toy was $6.00 i felt like a sucker. But what could i do my 8 yr old son said he knew what it was i blame the pin eyed liar from the Flea Market. I learned my lesson however, divorce guilt is expensive 😅😅

Well said and when will people just live and let live. Like you say it’s everyone’s own collection and you collect how you want. It was due to watching you I found out about Stan Solo and TN17. I now have every TN17 figure made and almost every Stan Solo. Like you said it’s a b*tch that people are buying them as soon as they go on the sights then putting them on EBay for 3x more. It’s a necessary evil that I pay the stupid prices as I want the full run 😢. At least once I’ve got the final dozen figures I can relax and just stick to pre orders. As for people saying Stan Solo are repro, have they ever stopped to think that people might just collect Stan Solo and not be into Kenner? Also question for you, I know you don’t do Hasbro but have you thought about Outer Rim or custom makers who make missing figures that are more like Hasbro than Kenner? What’s your take on that? I collect everything but if Kenner made it I’d have Kenner over Hasbro. My Hasbro are only figures not made by anyone else. Sorry for long message and keep up the good work 👍🏻
Collect what you want. That's always been my motto. I really don't have an opinion on some of those custom makers you've mentioned because I haven't personally held one of their figures. So in essence, it's not fair for me to judge or give an opinion. But I think ANY toy maker should concentrate on figures that were never made vs figures that Hasbro has made multiple times already. Hope that answers your question.

I think that’s what hurts them. SS is righting the wrongs that Kenner did with their omission of so many key/cool characters, creatures and vehicles.
As I mentioned before, it is probably the Andrew Ainsworth ruling that allows him to do what he does.
Just as someone like RS Propmasters benefits from this, giving the fans extremely accurate props/helmets etc., why shouldn’t SS be allowed to service a great need/want in the vintage Kenner collecting market?
RS, or anyone else outside of the US, doesn’t need a licence to produce Star Wars props, but they get nothing but love and praise.

"Buying bootlegs hurts corporations", like I care about some CEO getting his massive bonus at the end of the year. Those corporations will fire the low-rung employees even when they show big profits. Anyone crying about this rules out the right to be listened to. It's the toy collector equivalent of some "gamer" crying about emulation- usually some single mid-40s guy who lives in a home big enough for a family of 4 so he has room to store his hoarded pile of game cartridges. Hasbro often won't release this stuff & even if they do their quality is horrible now.
Couldn't agree with you more. I've stated many times that I'm not a fan of Hasbro. Not one bit. Regardless of your corporate stance, people need to chill out about all of this. These are just toys. Period. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Do you just collect the toys or do you read and collect any of the pre Disney books and comics.
I mainly just collect the vintage Kenner era of toys and merchandise.

Understand why people get upset. The vintage Kenner figures are worth big money. And if you are spending big money on something you are going to be sensitive when someone is putting out an "unlicensed" product because it can devalue your investment.
Same thing is happening in sports memorabilia with "Custom' jerseys. They get a super star athlete to sign a generic knock off of a team's jersey and sell it much cheaper than the authentic/licensed jersey. That reeks of greed.
However, Stan Solo appears to be filling a need for a niche market, so it doesn't really bother me.
Kenner doesn’t go down in value because of SS or any other toy maker. I see the same Kenner stuff fetching the same ridiculous prices that it always has year after year. Only it keeps climbing. Who knows what will happen in the future but ultimately people need to chill. Customs are Marked. But If you’re going to spend big money on something you should know exactly what to look out for so you aren’t getting duped. If that’s the buyers concerned, then do the homework. I’m all for people wanting to preserve their collections but buying into SW for the monetary value is silly. My opinion of course.

I don't have a problem with it as long as it's labeled as reproduction. Also some of the new figures are kind of lazy
