Agreed. The contrast is so appealing. Who is Mel Rose? She does vocals on more than just this album, correct? Is that her real name? There's virtually no information online about her (doesn't help that you get a bunch of "Melrose Place" stuff when you search). There's a DJ named Mel Rose, but I don't think that's the same person, is it? There's a professional solo artist who is a singer for hire (and a photo). She also plays acoustic guitar. It shows all the artists she covers, and most is blues/jazz based stuff. Is that her? If not, I don't even know what she looks like.

Yeah same, nothing really tops Acheron for me, had absolutely everything on that album. Some of the tracks out of Embers and Siege are brilliant but there is far too much 10 minutes of 'WEEEEE OOOOOOOHHH WAAAAAAAAA OHHHHHH' in the rest. Does my head in.
I've been listening to this band since 2014, and it's still one of the most gorgeous bands, not a single album has disappointed me, we've been waiting for the release of the sequel for a whole year and we're almost at the goal, I want to wish further creative success, you're fucking incredible, a lot more people should know about you!!!

Artist should always make the sounds they like. If us listeners don't like that then we can always choose not to listen. With that said, I am always excited when a new Mechina song or album drops regardless of the direction they take. Fuck, this is good, harder, harsher stuff, intense, dramatic! Hope we get a lot of this in the new album, last album had a lot of what I consider weaker songs, but As Virtue Meets Steel was amazing and refreshing, so it's not like I lost hope, I'm eager to hear more.

I know some of you may favor Cenotaph, but I thought I liked Siege relatively well and not so much Vanator, but the new album was nothing compared to that. joe, thank you for all you have done.
One of my favorite things that certain artists do, is tell a story through the tone of the music. The sound tells the story, along with the lyrics. You can really feel the battle, especially during the battle at 4:46 and the uplift after. VICTORY!
This new songs is an absolute banger ! Though i kinda miss the 3 vocals types from old Mechina, clean female, clean male and growl. That was part of what make Mechina's music so unique and interesting in my opinion. I hope there will be some in the album!
Liked the choice to give more dynamic visuals. As it’s trying to build a picture/vibe from the ground up, so more dynamic visuals helps keep the audience engaged. A very cool vid.

I really miss the The Assembly of Tyrants - Conqueror era with more raw sounding production since sadly I can't get into the new style with only female vocals.
I know a very very good album from Mechina with a lot of electronic effects, that is very likely to be a lot better than the next album. But mentioning its name has become almost forbidden nowadays with the new fans that arrived post-compendium....
@@ktmdza2776 Xenon is love Xenon is life, Xenon has the best opening track period. Progenitor and Venator have the best ending tracks. I've been here since Cepheus single, but my hot take is that Venator had the best dramatic pacing of any album yet. And I do like the Siege/Venator stlye more than the Embers/Telesterion style. would love some more Dave though, but Anna Hel was a good addition, really sells Enyos character, and the last albums were mostly about her anyways.
