If you like that junction of electronic elements and metal and some more exotic things such as androgynous vocals i would recommend the albums Cenotaph (The Great Hunt, Andara's Will) and Venator (Sacrifice Zone, Praise Hydrus) if you want heavier more industrial stuff then the albums Xenon (Phedra, Terrea, Thales) and Acheron (Invictus Daedalus, On the Wings of Nefeli) are just for you! As Embers Turn To Dust (album) and Progenitor are a mix of the two genres. Good listen!

In regards to my earlier comment, I think some of my criticisms stemmed from the fact that the sound quality of my headphones is just starting to break down. cause after listening to the song on airpods and on speaker, the vocal lines I originally pointed out are much less ear-piercing and the guitar solo much more discernible. So that being said, maybe I'm just dumb and this is yet another 10/10 from Mechina. Thanks Joe!

Those keyboards instantly bring me back to Aetherion Rain/Synesthesia Signal. In my opinion that's some of the best stuff you guys have written. You got outside of your comfort zone thematically and did some exploration, ventured into the unknown. I've been waiting here patiently for when you'll get back to something like that. Surviving the harshness of space was a cool idea for a metal album. Building a better future on an equally harsh planet was the next step. You had the makings for it back in Embers, and I've been waiting for it since then. That was the last time I really felt excitment with you guys through how you created your music. Godspeed Vanguards had the line "...Contact Ground" after a long pause of anticipation, which is the best summation of the human spirit to survive and explore. Don't be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone and explore that again. You'll find the magic still yet, and it wont have to feel like capturing it was somehow a fluke next time.
Mel continues as an essential part of the band and though that's another Dave, not the original, growls are back and that's great. Very good track, hope the whole album kicks as this one does.

Given that Mechina now uses a lot of neural-network made imagery instead of art, I am wondering, is there any kind assurance that Mechina's music is still 100% free from neural-network generated content? I think I heard Joe perhaps jokingly say something about using such technology to make music once. I really would like to be assured that is not the case.
@@angryktulhu I'll never miss a chance to point out that I don't like this type of dis, because to me the question of quality of neural network content is the least important aspect of this topic. I care much more about the way that neural network content it is emotionally manipulative to people who actually care about art as something that is human, inspirational, relatable, etc. I'm afraid I will need to adapt to this new reality by learning to not assume a human has made the culture around me, effectively meaning I'll have to learn to not love the world as much as I do, all because people are lazy, greedy, and at best indifferent to passing such content off as something it's not. As if any of the world's problems would be helped if only we had access to even more forms of instant gratification. If anyone wants me to become religious, they should not try to tempt me with the idea of eternal life, they should pitch me on the ability to unironically call this type of technology Satanic.
