      @Rich...have only just started listening...but in all seriousness, I started walking before I crawled.
      However, medical professions say that crawling is an important developmental stepping stone & is to be encouraged these days.
      Maybe my guitar playing would be that much better if I crawled first. 😆
      Cheers. 🎸🎸🎸

    Strymon had some hype in the Damage Control days. I remember the Damage Control Crystal Nexus and the OG Time Line with the tubes

    Hey Mason! You've given me so much great advise so thanks for that. I'm to the point in my pedalboard makeover that I'm getting ready to put down dual lock. Now my question is for most pedals but specifically mini's what in your opinion is the best placement of dual lock on the bottom of pedals?

    • @VertexEffectsInc
      @VertexEffectsInc  3 роки тому +1

      I load them up as much as I can so it often requires 1.5 strips that I custom cut to fit the bottom to give me the most surface area possible of Dual Lock.

      @@VertexEffectsInc Great thanks! What about things like volume pedals or bigger pedals like the flash back x4?

    I have 3 overdrives currently they all have there own power cable that goes to the power brick. If i daisy chain the power for the overdrives like i've heard you talk about will that help reduce any hum i might be getting from these pedals. I did use good self made soldered patch cables so i dont think that is the problem. I could probably use a better power supply... When i have more money. I know some distortion and drive pedals just naturaly have some noise. So i trying to figure out if it will help any to combine the power on the drive pedals

      Daisy chaining drives is typically OK. Other stuff, not so much - stuff with clocks or digital pedals.

    Mason please explain the concept of using a stereo rig and the return of the stereo rig only. That really captured my curiosity. Can you explain a little more

      Stereo Effects Loop Amplifiers. Guitar, dry effects, input of AMP L. AMP L FX Loop Send to wet effect, wet effects left effects out to AMP L FX Return (for the left side of the stereo image), and wet effects right out to AMP R FX Return (for the right side of the stereo image)

    how do I go set up the 5 cable method utilizing the Helix LT and two half stacks. I understand and utilize the 4 cable method and absolutely love it, and assumed it would just be simply utilizing the second output of the Helix to the return of the secondary half stack but I'm not getting any sound from the second stack. In the 4CM, I inserted an FX loop in the signal path am using snap shot mode. So I am assuming I have adjust something with the FX Loop block and it should be obvious but I cannot figure it out.

    I just pre ordered a Voodoo Lab PP3+from Sweetwater it will be underneath a Strymon Timeline on your original unhinged Strymon bridge . Odd question would putting copper shielding like you see in the cavity of guitars underneath the Strymon bridge alleviate any RF issues?

    • @VertexEffectsInc
      @VertexEffectsInc  3 роки тому +2

      The Pedal Power 3+ is a switch mode supply, like I recommend - Voodoo Lab's first production supply that's full featured like this. No copper won't help with electromagnetic issues is your supply were linear. You'd want steel or mumetal.

    • @jameshalbert181
      @jameshalbert181 3 роки тому +1

      Ok sorry I misunderstood. The new models are better with electromagnetic issues. That explains why my SP comp sounds horrible near my pp2+

    • @VertexEffectsInc
      @VertexEffectsInc  3 роки тому +1

      @@jameshalbert181 linear supplies have the issues with electro magnetic fields. Switch mode do not. All of the Voodoo Lab supplies until now were all linear supplies. The Pedal Power 3 series is their first attempt at a full size switch mode power supply.

    I have checked your website. I think you are not shipping to Asia(Singapore) your partner Exhoinox here does not carry the pedalboard line up.
    You only sell through Sweetwater and Reverb which does not ship to my place. I’m consider your board rather than the Rockboard as I can minimize my footprint if I use yours. But shipping is an issue.

    • @VertexEffectsInc
      @VertexEffectsInc  2 роки тому +1

      Pretty sure they’ll ship if you request it from Sweetwater
