The system sells for $469 with free shipping. I did not do a before and after dyno but I would not expect to see more than a couple horsepower tops out of an axle back system. Most of the benefit is improved sound.
Just installed my Roush Axle back system that I order from CJ Pony , couldn't be happier . I live in Ottawa , Ontario Canada , I order on a Thursday and received the following Wednesday . Installation was a breeze , I just disconnected mufflers , and car was on jack stands . Hardest part was removing stock mufflers from hangers , I just sprayed some lube and off they came . Sound is awesome and is quiet at cruising . Thanks Bill for the video `s they are a great help , wondering what to do next , I have a 2014 mustang gt that I bought a couple weeks ago .
I installed this exhaust on my 14 GT and it looks good, sounds amazing, install is not too bad, less weight than stock, a few extra horses, and even got about 1 MPG better gas mileage.
The stock mufflers on your car should have a small welded bracket you have to pry free to release the muffler from the mid pipes. A small prybar and hammer should do the job, we deal with a lot of rust here in PA and I have never had a set we couldn't get off without cutting. Spray some PB blaster on there and smack them with a hammer. Just make sure you wrap some rags around the exhaust tips so they don't damage the paint on the bumper cover when they pop loose.
You can get the pipes over the axle with the car on the ground but you would need to get it up pretty high. I have installed several axle backs on the ground, but never tried a cat back on an 11-14 on the ground, so I can't tell you exactly how high but I would say get it as high as you safely can.
The Roush axle-back is the best sounding axle-back exhaust in my opinion. I installed them on my 2014 GT and I absolutely love mine. Ended up painting the exhaust tips black as well. Video on my channel 🏎💨
your videos are great, learned everything I need, one questions though, do I need to tune my car after doing this installation. and in your opinion whats the best axle back exhaust for a 2012 mustang gt thank you
I just got these installed on my 2014 V6. They completely changed the whole "personality" of my Mustang. It sounds much more aggressive. I would recommend these to anyone. I got a Air aid CAI, a Roush exhaust. Now I have to get a tune.
Just got the exhaust today and so far my car is backed on a ramp. I have successfully loosen the clamp and removed the single hanger near the rear. Now im trying to push the front two hanger off but the mid pipe its in the way! How do i get mid pipe out of the way so i can push exhaust hangers off? I read many people did it without loosen or remove mid pipe, how?
I showed up at CJ Pony Parts this morning a FRIDAY at that and 2 hours later I left there with my axle back Roush exhaust installed....Wow so cool thank you!!!
Do you have any good advise for taking off your mufflers ? I have a 2007 gt and I eventually want to run a full kooks exhaust with long tubes and an off road x .. but... I am having a problem with taking off the axel back or mufflers ... rust is the enemy what is a good way of doing this ? I thought about touching it but then I remembered .. gas tank
I'm hoping I can get a cordless impact gun soon that has 500ft-ib so hopefully that will help but also for the cat back is it possible to take off the stock and install the aftermarket over axel pipe with out cutting it while using jack stands ? I have heard of people doing it with really high jack stands and a really strong low profile jack. How high jack stands do you think I would need to do this at my own at home ?
Hello Bill, enjoy your videos. I plan on ordering a cat-back exhaust for my 2013 Mustang GT. I was told that I just need to order the X-pipes and axle-backs, the mid-pipes are not needed. This doesn't sound right to me, what do you say? Will it effect the sound or horsepower if I don't replace the mid-pipes? Thanks for your help!
+Stanley112803 We ran the stock midpipes on our 2013 Gt for a long time and made really good power even with the stock resonators built into them. We removed them eventually and really didn't pick up
I installed the roush on my 2012 v6 by in a similar fashion. It took me about an hour with a jack and jack stands. Well worth it. My car sounds GREAT now!
The axel back muffler is connected to the main pipe by a non removable non reusable clamp that is welded to the system. This makes removing the axel back damn near impossible. You have to loosen nor remove the center pipe to get the clearance to take it out and put it back
got this for my 2011 v6 and got two tickets already -______- these are loud, got the DB reads out to 105!! this is just on a v6 too. dont get them if ur from Cali
@@mysticgaming7726 it is loud when you want it to be. After 3k rpm it pops and roars. Not as a GT but I don't think you get pull over for that. I had the car for about 7 years and no one pull me over for that...definitely it is a great difference from the stock exhaust you will like it.
I have installed them both ways and just fee removing the intermediate makes the job easier but you can usually install most axle backs without removing.
No..with the different engine, it won't fit. We offer a catback version from Roush that will fit, however: www.cjponyparts.com/roush-cat-back-exhaust-system-off-road-stainless-steel-gt-2010/p/CBR08/
Bill Tumas Thank you for your quick response. Two more quick questions. One does it have a part number I can use to look it up on the web site? Two this one you might not know but putting it on does it void the warranty on the car?
Yes, any mechanic could install exhaust for you. Although i highly recommend learning to work on your car yourself. shop rates are 100$+ per hour so you are paying a lot for labour

How bad is the drone?
No drone.
crazy how much roush’s price has went up since lol. Over $200 for the same item

This was the *best* instructional video I've ever seen on exhausts. I'm glad to see you guys have 900 others. Thank you very much.
I installed this exhaust on my 14 GT and it looks good, sounds amazing, install is not too bad, less weight than stock, a few extra horses, and even got about 1 MPG better gas mileage.
Completely Clean can you reuse the factory clamps where the muffler first starts? Or are they too rusted out
jGOOD I was able to reuse mine. Mine was garage kept only 2 years old.
Best sounding exhaust on the coyote
Nah the corsas are
@@XplosiveArrow everyone has their own opinion

WOW! Love that sound! Looks like I'm going to MOD my 2014 Mustang.
this is worth the trouble. im gonna be saving 85$ installing these axel-backs myself

Nice video but my 2014 needed a 13mm socket for ALL bolt heads under the car. The 15mm was only for the Roush muffler tips.
This exact system will not work on 05-09 but we do offer a Roush exhaust for that model.
your videos are great, learned everything I need, one questions though, do I need to tune my car after doing this installation. and in your opinion whats the best axle back exhaust for a 2012 mustang gt thank you
Sounds excellent but I would have liked to hear the before sound to compare both

Do you install them at CJ Pony Parts...I am local from Mechanicsburg!
Absolutely! Call and ask to speak to Joe Kressler to set up an appt.

So only sound from this Roush exhuast no performance gains like other brands????

Bill love your tires and wheels on this Mustang. Would you mind telling me what these are. Great videos! thanks sir!

Thank you sir! Have a great summer!
if the axleback clamp not secure connecting to mid pipe will there be any noise?

I just installed theese on myn2914 v6. Loud And drone deive s men crazy
Mike McManus are you writing from the future bro? 2914 Mustang.. :)
I would like to know if the installation on a v6 2012 mustang would be similar or the same as this one, please and thank you!
I installed the roush on my 2012 v6 by in a similar fashion. It took me about an hour with a jack and jack stands. Well worth it. My car sounds GREAT now!
Do the hangers come pr-installed for you?
what would you say is louder Roush ab or Borla Atak ab?
Is that allowed in Germany
What exhaust set up was that in the intro of the video?
Wow, the mustang doesn't use Exhaust flanges? I'd hate to have a system built with clamps...
Would it be a bad idea to get this axle back for the 2005 GT?
Would the installation be the same for a 2012 v6?
What's the pan between the mufflers in the back end of the car
do you happen to have a dyno for before and after? or know how much hp was gained? just curious
theres no horsepower gain for these
What is the best way to remove the welds on the factory clamp?
I usually use a grinder to get them off and clean looking.
Will it fit on a 2010 mustang gt if not what model will.?
what sounds more a axle back or catback ?
The axel back muffler is connected to the main pipe by a non removable non reusable clamp that is welded to the system. This makes removing the axel back damn near impossible. You have to loosen nor remove the center pipe to get the clearance to take it out and put it back
Do you have to remove the intermediate pipe?
It is the easiest way
What kind of power gain do you get off this?
0 it's just a muffler swap. you want power you gotta put an offroad x pipe on and get a tune
Does the v6 rough axleback fit the gt as well?
got this for my 2011 v6 and got two tickets already -______- these are loud, got the DB reads out to 105!! this is just on a v6 too. dont get them if ur from Cali
Really that loud?? :( I wanted to buy some for my 2014 v6 stang
+Mauro's-Red-Mustang#13 - did u ended up getting it? If so are they super loud ? Some people said that is just normal sound while cruising
Mauro's-Red-Mustang#13 - yeah I saw ur videos ur GT its a fkng beast I'm going with the roush axle back for my v6
@@Di_VaLa so how did it go with that exhaust? Is it really too loud for cruzing on normal roads? I'm not tryna get pulled over

What Roush exhaust would work for a 99 GT?
Will they fit my 2014 v6?
Very nice video 👍👍
Can you put that exhaust system on a challeneger? #noobquestion
Can I run a shorty bbk x pipe with bbk long tube headers. If I already have a roush axle back??
Yes
Thanks!
Do you think can i install them on v6 2010? Or 2011
Roush makes a specific kit for the V6 cars, check out our website.
Thanks for this video
Do you think I can install this exhaust on a 2010 gt 4.6

No you can't
Ok thank you 😊
That looks so easy that I might be able to do it. lol.
Roush axleback or borla atak sound wise ?
Neither, magnapacks are the best axleback
+3.8drew really why
does this Change the resonator?
PRAY IV DEATH no
Anybody know what kind of grille he has on that?
Jace Lysinger Saleen grill
Can I use this on 2014 Mustang V6 3.7?
We offer a V6 version on our website, this one is GT only because of the diameter of the pipe.
Bill Tumas Thank you for your quick response. Two more quick questions. One does it have a part number I can use to look it up on the web site? Two this one you might not know but putting it on does it void the warranty on the car?
Bill Tumas but is the same installation as the v6? 2014
Enrique Valiente Smaller pipes, same exact install
Stacey Cote axle back exhaust will not void your warranty
If im too, worried, lifting my GT with a jack, could anybody like, Ford or a mechanic install it for me?
Yes, any mechanic could install exhaust for you. Although i highly recommend learning to work on your car yourself. shop rates are 100$+ per hour so you are paying a lot for labour
Aidan Anastacio Alright, Thanks Bro appreciate it!
How bad the drone on this
None at all with stock midpipes.
They sound good but damn they are expensive!! $500-$700
If it makes you feel any better my borlas were 900$
😍😍😍😍😍
This is $749.99 now😐
