Taking the block off plates is a must. When you first fired it up, I was like that is too quiet. Then afterwards, Oooh Yes. I love the new sound. Love that it does not have that gurgle sound at slower speeds like the Roush does on my 13.
The new Roush Performance Quad Tip Axle Back exhaust has been in stock for more than a week, and many of you have asked about installation. Here's our full install video, which covers all of the details (including the valance!) www.cjponyparts.com/roush-axle-back-quad-tip-exhaust-stainless-steel-premium-model-fastback-gt-2015/p/CBR22/
hate that it only works with the premium models looking at getting a base gt with just the track pack and i was hoping to use the roush valence for quad tips, oh well have to figure something else out
i think Roush should send some smaller studs with the kit ,because even the pros damaged the outside of the valence. look at 16:02 you can see the stud made a stress mark on the outside.
b fd That is correct and very good eye :) Many of these parts we install are pre production so we work with the manufacturers to many any changes where necessary.
CJ Pony Parts Saw your video on the mbrp xp race exhaust, would you happen to know if I took the brace off to install it if it would fit back on after? For reference it’s a 16 ecoboost convert. Mustang
Bill, when are you guys going to do a video with install and sound on the corsa xtreme cat back? You made a video letting us know you were stocking them, but no install or sound clips.
Does this system still have the stock resonator? And if so, is there a way to get rid the resonator and still use this system? I personally would think the sound benefits would be insane.
What about the Roush Quad tip active exhaust with Roush h pipe or Roush singles with Roush h pipe ? What’s better and louder please ? Torn between the 2 but a massive difference in money ? need some expert advice and personal opinion please ? Thanks Mark
What type of power tool was used for tightening the clamps? I tried with a regular hand wrench, and mines were always loose so I had to get them soldered.
Hi Bill just want to know will it work with H pipe and quad system. when you gonna do the video with rear park sensor valance. It would be much appreciated if you could do with H Pipe. Thanks heaps
shane We will have videos up this week with an X and H pipe resonator delete installed. There will most likely not be a separate video with the parking sensors, just a unique part #
Bill Tumas Thanks Bill much appreciated for the reply. Could you please give me the best combination that will go with quad tip and will it be easier to install with sensor or not. thanks
shane Keep an eye out for the videos so you can decide for yourself which sound is best for you. The install is the same, if you have factory sensors the panel will be slightly different.
Bill Tumas, I want to install the Corsa X O pipe with the Roush Axle back quad tip exhaust. The Corsa X O pipe is 3", would this application work or have you tried it?
Nicholas J Rousan I have not tried that combination but for the Corsa X to work with stock tailpipes it would have to reduce to 2.5 inches. The Roush mounts after the axle so there should be no issue.
Bill Tumas I would most likely run the cats to 3" tailpipe to the Roush Axleback. Would this provide adequate back pressure and not cause a flow issue? Would this make sense to do or go with a different axle back system?
***** This part was designed for a car without sensors so yes they are covered but we wanted to get the video done and all of our cars have back up sensors. There is a new version shipping soon for cars with sensors.
@@cjponyparts Thanks. I'm getting the GT350 sport you had installed on my convertible Wednesday. I think it will be livable too. When cruising around and not accelerating hard, it's pretty tame isn't it?
Sam Arce , hi mate , I'm thinking Ti install this on my convertible , did u know any more information about having to remover rear brace ?? Would be great if u can pass some information about this
+Bill Tumas That's awesome. When will the install video be done ? I want one of these and plan on the install myself. Will there need to be any tuning done once the exhaust is installed ? Thanks in advance Bill.
+Bill Tumas Was at a car show about a week ago and they had the GT350. I love the look of the quad exhaust and valance. I am eager to see how it sounds on the Premium once you do the install. Thanks Bill.
Hello, i purchased the quad roush axle along with the H pipe. I installed it on my stock diffuser but im using only dual tips while blocking off thr other 2 with the parts roush provided, i hope this wont effect the car. I will be planning to order the roush diffuser with rear park sensors when its out but honestly i prefer the style / look of the stock diffuser more, the paint matching the car in the middle gives it a really nice look. I would appreciate if anyone could let me know if there is any other quad diffuser in the market other then roush that looks better! Like the shelby gt350 thats a sexy diffuser. Will that be availble for sale ? Thanks :)
I'm going to get this quad exhaust with a h pipe but go with the active conversion. How loud do you think the exhaust would be in 'quiet' mode (e.g. block off plates) with a h pipe resonator delete?
Hey bill, will you be uploading a sound clip of the roush quad with the MRT H pipe in the near future? i ordered both parts from you guys and would love to hear how it sounds prior to receiving them :) i hope no cutting is required?
Hesham Thabit Cutting will be required for any resonator delete and axle back combo. we will have a video up with week of the quads with an H pipe resonator delete
ok im looking for a exhaust system that loud (no straight pipes) i am ordering a carbon fiber rear diffuser that has ports for quad tips.... what system can i get in order for every thing to fit? *bonus* i need headers as well, pretty much the whole system lol if anyone can please help me! thx in advance. FYI i am buying from American muscle and or CJ's pony parts only. thanks.
Hesham Thabit it would involve some creativity. Maybe some fiberglass ... custom brackets possibly... in all and all.. to much work. All this is just speculation until I got it in my hand. But I like how the splitier has a lip that comes over the bumper, that way you can cover up a lot of stuff. It would probably be easier to just order a premium bumper cover from Ford.
You mentioned the extra hangers due to weight. Did you happen to weigh the old stuff vs new stuff? The mustang is already a pig. Adding weight isn't what I want to do.
the installation of this thing is an absolute bitch. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. its a cool piece and the finished product looks great but it took me about 8 hours accumulatively. just go to your trusted body shop or even ford to get this thing installed
i want that for my new mustang, but i dont know if i want to chop up the mustang i dont even have yet
This is by far the best sounding 15 mustang with an aftermarket axle-back system!
Taking the block off plates is a must. When you first fired it up, I was like that is too quiet. Then afterwards, Oooh Yes. I love the new sound. Love that it does not have that gurgle sound at slower speeds like the Roush does on my 13.
You should review the active exhaust bill!
unless I can get Bill to come to Salt Lake City...can regular collision centers do this kind of stuff?
Any decent sho should be able to handle the install.
@@cjponyparts thanks for responding!

I just want to ask does back up sensor will be influenced after install the new bumper?
So bill this won't work if you have rear park assist Sensors???.
your episode installing the Magnaflow exhaust sounds much better.
hate that it only works with the premium models looking at getting a base gt with just the track pack and i was hoping to use the roush valence for quad tips, oh well have to figure something else out
Is there any exhaust systems that are made to keep the bracing on? Is it still safe without the bracing?
The Ford Performance 2.5 in kits will work with the bracing in place.
@@cjponyparts What is the sound like? I have installed a Steeda H pipe. Thanks in Advance!
Does back up sensor will be influenced after install the new bumper?
after listening to all of the top recommended choices for exhaust it's pretty clear that Corsa Extreme sounds the best by a long shot.
It sure does sound amazing!
i think Roush should send some smaller studs with the kit ,because even the pros damaged the outside of the valence. look at 16:02 you can see the stud made a stress mark on the outside.
b fd That is correct and very good eye :) Many of these parts we install are pre production so we work with the manufacturers to many any changes where necessary.
Is this compatible with the Mustang v6?
how many holes did you drill :\
Any idea if they are planning on releasing a carbon fiber version?
Lane House as far as I know there are no plans
The plastic looks way too cheap. I'd keep the painted rear part and just get a normally fitting exhaust system.
Why is the undercar bracket a thing? I want an aftermarket exhaust on mine but want to know what will happen if I do take off the undercar bracket
The bracket stiffens the chassis since you lose a little rigidity with the convertible top.
CJ Pony Parts Saw your video on the mbrp xp race exhaust, would you happen to know if I took the brace off to install it if it would fit back on after? For reference it’s a 16 ecoboost convert. Mustang
Hey Bill, could you please upload a quad tip video for the Ecoboost?
Bill, when are you guys going to do a video with install and sound on the corsa xtreme cat back? You made a video letting us know you were stocking them, but no install or sound clips.
ReviewFever Give me about an hour :)
Bill Tumas man, Bill, youre amazing
is there any exhaust kit I can install to a non Premium GT?
+Christopher Fermin The only reason you need the premium for this one is to fit the quad tips
Does this system still have the stock resonator? And if so, is there a way to get rid the resonator and still use this system? I personally would think the sound benefits would be insane.
I have the roush axle backs and Ford x pipe if I wanted to go to these quad tip axle backs would there be any problems such as measurements?
Bill what’s louder this or the Roush single axle back ?
They sound pretty much the same.
What about the Roush Quad tip active exhaust with Roush h pipe or Roush singles with Roush h pipe ? What’s better and louder please ?
Torn between the 2 but a massive difference in money ? need some expert advice and personal opinion please ? Thanks Mark
Why do all the 15's have that raspy noise even after you switch out the exhaust?
Sojiro176 The 15 has a different firing order than previous years so they have a unique tone.
What type of power tool was used for tightening the clamps? I tried with a regular hand wrench, and mines were always loose so I had to get them soldered.
Any chance the 2018 Mustang GT w perf pack sounds close to this with quad tips?
Would this muffler work on a 2020 gt?
when will a kit be available for non premium bumpers :(
+David Olivarez never
+MrWafflez000 thanks for bringing me back to reality lol already ordered my premium bumper any way
David Olivarez haha
Is there any drone?

whats the extra support for on the convertible that they have you remove? Any issues having that off?
Bill Tumas what is the diameter of the exhaust pipes? I cannot find it anywhere. Thank you in advance.
Nicholas J Rousan 2.5 in
Bill Tumas, I want to install the Corsa X O pipe with the Roush Axle back quad tip exhaust. The Corsa X O pipe is 3", would this application work or have you tried it?

can you do review the quad-exhaust Ecoboost?
Hey bill , im a huge fan of u ! I wish if i have a mustang now ! They're going to sale it this month in saudi arabia for 56$ !! Just a Gt premium!
If paired with an X pipe is it safe to assume no cutting is needed to install these?
Michael Gardner We will have videos up this week with an X and H pipe resonator delete installed. Both require cutting
So will any Cat-back exhaust system work with a GT Premium convertible as long as I remove that support frame?
+Josh Allen yes
Could u repeat this process w/ the EcoBoost?
That sound when he removed the plate 👍🏽👍🏽
Hi CJ Pony , how much would shipping be to Sydney Australia for the quad tips and valance ??
After hearing that tone the second time, I would never block it again.
How do I get a quad tip in a non premium GT version?
or can I substitute it with the steeda rear brace?
Hey Bill. How did you like the exhaust with plates off and top down? Too loud or just right? Bearable for a long drive with top down?
I never really took a long trip with it. With the plates off I think it would be livable.

+Bill Tumas Was at a car show about a week ago and they had the GT350. I love the look of the quad exhaust and valance. I am eager to see how it sounds on the Premium once you do the install. Thanks Bill.
Looks good. Sounds good. But any axle back exhaust that requires you to remove the entire back end of the car to install it is not worth it.
Hey Bill what kind of surface do you do these kinds of work on to prevent scratches during the process?
Chris I used a piece of felt over my bench, you can get it very cheap from a fabric store.

where can i find the videos of your blue 2015 that you're driving for the Rally Smokey Mountain event?
Ronnie Brown There are a lot of videos on my car on this channel. Exhaust, splitter, steeda suspension, Roush supercharger, etc
Can you do this Quad tip with an MRT H Pipe???????
Thanks!!!!
Yes they will work together.
Bill Tumas awesome. I was asking if you could do a video with the h pipe and the quad tip! Thanks for all the vids!
Unfortunately that car has moved on to a new owner. We did a video on the H pipe and standard Roush which will sound very similar.
Thanks for the responses! Do you like this or the MagnaFlow competition better when paired with this H pipe?
Do they sell the gt premium back seperately so i could put it on my v6?
I'm going to get this quad exhaust with a h pipe but go with the active conversion. How loud do you think the exhaust would be in 'quiet' mode (e.g. block off plates) with a h pipe resonator delete?
Will this work with a performance pack gt?
Señior Chang As long as it is a premium
thank you... btw your vids are awesome. keep up the good work!

Hesham Thabit Cutting will be required for any resonator delete and axle back combo. we will have a video up with week of the quads with an H pipe resonator delete
16:05 looks like you've screwed the stud in too far from the inside and its pushed out a bump on the outside......not a good look.
How much is the rear bumper upgrade?
+sami Herz $199.99 without pre-drill. $249.99 with pre-drill for sensors. A link for the bumper is in the description.
What is the brace for ? Anybody know
James Nunez Additional support for the convertible. Roush now offers a convertible version that allows you to keep the bracing.
Are they ever gonna make a kit for non premium GT's
Seems like too much work just to have quad tips.
David Martin I agree. And it's only an axle back system too.
ok im looking for a exhaust system that loud (no straight pipes) i am ordering a carbon fiber rear diffuser that has ports for quad tips.... what system can i get in order for every thing to fit? *bonus* i need headers as well, pretty much the whole system lol if anyone can please help me! thx in advance. Love that look yall should pair it with the h-pipe
Will it fit 2019 ecoboost
Unfortunately no, the valance will not work.
Every body lets just wait for the 2018 Gt that comes with squad tips 👌🏻
I wonder how this would sound with my boss side exhaust...hmmmm
going all through this for quad exhaust to only use 1 tip is very ignorant so just open them all up from the start
Sounds pretty good!
Watching this video... I believe I could make this work with the base bumper cover.
Chard Davis could you please explain more on how you could make this work with the base bumper? because from i see, cutting probably wont work :(

Great vid. Go Roush ++
You mentioned the extra hangers due to weight. Did you happen to weigh the old stuff vs new stuff? The mustang is already a pig. Adding weight isn't what I want to do.
John Myers I did not weigh them but honestly it can't be more than a few pounds heavier than stock at the most.
All this for quad tip mufflers jesus no thanks but awesome video bill
Fair enough!
at the start of this video this car had silver wheels. Toward the end of the video it has black wheels.
damn man you need some electric power tools
gee is that all the tools you need to put tips on?!? lol!

Change the music sound!its awful!videos are great but u cant watch it cause of this fuckin music
What about this kit with a resonator delete?
Will those quads fit GT350 rear valance?
Not without heavy modifications including cutting and welding.
