All you have to do is put your full trust in Jesus. The message of the Bible is that Jesus was punished for all the evil things you have done or will ever do. He loved you so much that he was willing to die a horrible, brutal death for what you did. He was punished for your actions. If you believe in him and trust him you will have eternal life with God. You will not go to hell because Jesus already went for you. All you have to do is trust in Jesus. Nothing else. You don't have to go to church. You don't have to give money to people. You don't have to do anything but believe in what Jesus did. That he sacrificed himself for you so that you could go to heaven.

They are kind, energetic, loyal, personable, and each one is so different that the first three words can't be applied to them all. They are *good dogs*. I'll never understand why humans are so vicious.
I never thought I would empathise that much with a Dachshund... or dogs in general. But damn, that was more heavy than I thought it'd be, great stuff tho.
My wife of 39 years and i have had dachsies since shortly after our marriage. We are currently on dachsie number 5 and number 6. We always keep 2 so they are never alone even if we are out of the house. They are super loving, super protective, and sweet noise generators. We will always have dachsies until we die. Ours seem to live long lives averaging 17 years.
A good way of summing up the sigma energy these dogs release is through an encounter I had with my friend's two twin wiener dogs, where as I was about to leave one started humping his brother in front of me and my friend said it was to show dominance over the other, and "they just do that sometimes"

Me too lol. Everytime I saw a picture of them in this video I couldn't help but giggle at their silliness.
My dog is half-dachshund, never knew all of this. Giving my dog the biggest fattest hug before I leave for work today.
“So their tiny little legs had to bear the weight of human inadequacy” goes so fucking hard.
As a long time Dobermann owner (all Euro), when my wife and I received a hot dog dog, I had no idea what to expect. I had no idea they have been through so much trauma, that they were hated, and that they were so hardcore. I can say beyond all doubt that the dachshund is no joke, and they are absolutely wonderful dogs. Also as I write this, I cannot express enough how much better the world is having these wonderful little dogs around.
6:26 “I like dogs but not this breed” all this hate towards an animal purely because of its origin? Rip to all the good dogs who died on the battlefield :(
seriously, they're just dogs 😭☹️ (edit: i meant as in, they're just dogs, they didn't do anything wrong except exist)
(i meant as in, they're just dogs, they didn't do anything wrong except exist 😭)
Unfortunately we do that to humans too, so it tracks 😅
Honestly, dogs are good or bad based on the person who raised them.
While I have some breeds I don't like because I think they are ugly, hate would be too strong of a word for it. The only dogs I hate are dogs people have made to be mean and don't handle them properly after that.
@@codyott1982 even then, i can't bring myself to hate the dog when they can't really be blamed for how they are raised. I just feel bad for them
Mannn it sucks living on the same planet where a type of dog gets mass murdered because of the humans they were associated with
Dachsund isn't the only dog this happens to. Borzoi have a similar history
@@geenoix2357 can you say a bit more about it ?
@@shutup5063 Borzois,
also known as Russian Wolfhounds, are a sight-oriented hunting dog that were historically favored by the Russian Tsars. The relationship with the Russian aristocracy got them killed in droves by revolutionaries during the communist revolution.
it should be a lesson about not being indoctrinated with hate when people want to fuel rage as a tool to target against political enemies.
Honestly still happens. I had a german shepard growing up and kids would harass and throw stuff at him because they hated dogs and Saw my dog as "racist".
Unlike many small dog breeds dachshunds are not under the delusion that they are bigger than they actually are. They are fully aware of their small size, they simply do not give a damn. They will take on all comers, BRING IT ON!!
Can attest to this with mine he knows his size, he just don't give a fuck. They say honey badgers don't, they learned that from doxies

not too much animation in this one though, some things I just couldn't bring myself to draw tbh

How can people can be so cruel? And to a dog breed that has nothing to do with a horrible war :(
People have wiped out entire dog breeds just because of a story, so this really shouldn't be that shocking.
Humans have always wiped out other species just because they blamed their sheep for getting hunted by animals that didn't kill them in the first place, or were too friendly and taken advantage of.
It just comes from people that think we are superior to all things on earth and think that extinction and animal abuse is a myth when in reality we know better.
We won't have changed much in 100 years. Brace yourself
British hatred for germans lol, lmao even
Which are also genetically engineered and r@ped created by colonialism?
I wasn't expecting to cry over an overgrown sausage. Thanks!
As a proud owner of 2 dachshunds (sort of, I'm not sure either of them are full breed), they're the sweetest little things but also the sassiest. Also the hot dog costume is a must
I love my little sausage shaped dog, he loves me unconditionally and always wags his tale when I get home. He brings me so much joy
For such shorty legs, they truly knew how to stand against a cruel world.
I was totally caught off guard by how wholesome this video is lol
thanks poopie!
0:15 seconds in and you’re already giving me an existential crisis

The message of the Bible is that no matter how evil you think you are, no matter how far you feel you are from God, you can get right with God. You can go to heaven.
@@urfriendlyhoodif your god existed, he would never allow such cruelty to a poor animal. Stop lying to yourself
@@urfriendlyhood unless you believe God or Jesus are dachshunds I can't see how it has something to do with the video

4:05 [OVERSIMPLIFIED INTENSIFIES]
"You're capable, you're lovable and you will overcome" was just what I needed to hear today, thank you Poopie, I have to dry my eyes now. That said, I can't believe people would scapegoat a breed of dogs over a war, even such a serious and terrifying war like WW2. And it feels like this is still very much a behavior in people to this day. I believe that one day people will learn to chill out and stop ascribing all their ills on groups of people, animals, objects, and the like, we just need more time.
*THEY CAN BE VERY VICIOUS* especially in a pack, and they can turn around inside their own length so the head is facing you / the badger / your dog as the back end is going away
yup, good old hunting dogs
They use their muscular chest to basically plug tunnel escapes like a little reverse wombat.
The escape is just a wall of muscle and teeth. They still use them for hunting but mostly mink i think? Or maybe that is ferrets, i forget.
They are great dogs though. My dog now is a chihuaha dachsund mix and hes the best looking and best dog ive had.
my family used to own a pigmy dachshund called sunny and she was the most patient and loveable critter on earth (with the exception of when she saw cats) she cuddled me till her passing back in 2018 and i pretty much grew up with her so i was very very teary eyed
It's like how they're doing it with Russian cats. Russian based breeds were banned from shows
4:48 just a note; the badgers they would’ve hunted in Germany would’ve been European badgers, not honey badgers.
German Dog lover here. Dachshund or DACKEL for short, are cute tiny BADASSES. They cuddle, but they also protect who they love. They are very much beloved here.
I've heard the term Dackel before and was curious why the different name... I'm presuming it's the nickname for the breed in Germany?
@@SorcererLance Yes. And I think it's much more common than the full name "Dachshund". I didn't even know they were called Dachshunde for at least the first 20 years of my life. I only knew them as Dackel. A Dachs is a badger by the way.
Just a shame for your neighbours. My neighbours ones are absolutely miserable to live next to. They don’t take to training well and are aggressive and loud.
@@Girvo747that’s the fault of your neighbors, not the dogs. Dachshunds are a joy, but you have to set limits (and sometimes they agree to follow them).
I saw my first poopie video yesterday, and i have to say, poopie makes some good points
7:51 Is that Danny Devito?
yes!
Beat me to it 😂
It's from a film called Wiener Dog
I thought you were talking about the picture on the left until the other one popped in.
@@michaelkeenan2307 You mean either I recognised his ankles or he's been a Wiener dog all along haha
Watching this while my dachshund is curled up next to me. Hearing how they were treated breaks my heart, they’re such an amazing breed with a huge amount of personality and loyalty, I can’t imagine living my life without one by my side
KFC Drumstick type build 🤣🤣🤣 1:50
0:43 at least this doggo can fUckin breath!!!! It's wild to me how we intentionally took away the capability for some breeds to breath properly just because 'squish is cute' or something. You know what else is cute? A little dog actually being able to get excited without nearly choking on its own face!
I agree with your point, but the dachshunds back is still anatomically unethical, and will most likely suffer pain in the back once they are middle aged and or older…
@@Gorlcaptainmost dachshunds do not develop IVDD (the “back pain” you are referring to). Many that do are overweight, which is preventable. There is also a gene that is associated with IVDD and breeding dogs without it and no family history of IVDD will also result in dachshunds less likely to develop it. Healthy dachshunds can exist. They were originally hunting dogs and those dogs needed to be healthy and fit.
@@Purplesquigglystripe that's actually totally inaccurate. Mine is mixed and at 6 started showing signs of back issues as his 2 chiweenie parents did, they're also half and half. My dog is lean, has never been overweight and has the perfect stature. My friend who is a vet tech says it's nearly inevitable, overweight or notm
@@Purplesquigglystripe The dachshunds today don't resemble those hunting dogs. Look up comparison pictures and you'll see they used to have shorter, considerably less fragile backs.

What's your favorite dog breed Poopie. There is only one answer.
„All dogs deserve love.”
What’s wrong with German influence?
@@thepurplevelvet It was the time of the great war and Germany was seen as a war monger since the Kaiser could have ended the war right at the start (he was friend with Russia and could have negotiated a peace), instead he went on holiday.

Badgers? We don't have to show you no stinking badgers! 😂
I think it’s similar to how people see spiders, it itself isn’t bad, but people associate it with bad, so there for it must be bad.
To be fair, being scared of spiders seem to be a human instinct, to avoid the venomous species by avoiding all spiders. But the hate for Dachshunds was meticulously crafted from war propaganda and racism...

GOD DAMN POOPIE WHY YOU HITTING ME LIKE THIS
this vid made me cry :c
i had a dachshund once and he was the loveliest dog i've ever known. i miss him so much..
thank you poopie, i was glad to know more about my favorite dog's history
my sister has a dachshund and they are such fierce, athletic, loving little guys, extremely willful and extremely capable. my favorite story about him: we took him on hikes in the Scottish highlands and whenever we’d be at the start of the hike, people passing would comment that he was so small, how was he going to make it up hills and across streams? but that guy hopped across rocky stream mouths that were twice his length and honestly hiked much better than me. though small, they need a lot of exercise, and when they get it, they’re pure muscle and extremely athletic!
Never thought I would cry during a poopie video but you really did honor these downtrodden pups really well during the war pups segment. Thank you poopie for appreciating these poor little goobers
I love how random your videos are, from a new viewer perspective, anyroad.
I wasn't surprised at all that they were used for tunnels, the shape kinda gives it away...sadly, not the first time animals were used quite questionably in wars, either. However, I am surprised poor dogs got the US Vietnam Soldier Special. People just go for literally anything to worship hate and violence, huh?
On a lighter note, I will say that you have a way with words. Among the humorous many you used, "lighthearted wretchedness" is now one of my new favorite words. Thanks for the infotainment.
Man, I didn't realise the horrors of war extended to innocent puppers.
What's this called?
Germans: dachshund
Americans: hmm, not kinky enough
The poor Dachshund. My growing up dog was a Dachshund and the thought of anyone torturing and killing him is beyond painful. Humans are soooo vicious.
I've had the fantastic honor of raising three long-haired Dachshunds and currently own two. RIP my Charlie boy. 17 years was one hell of an adventure, old boy.
I'm not crying, you're crying
I grew up around dachshunds. I had no idea these dogs who made my life so rich had such a gutwrenching history. I love them so very much and hope to have one as a companion someday.
"It's lighthearted wreckedness" is such a good way to describe it 😂
A good way of summing up the sigma energy these dogs release is through an encounter I had with my friend's two twin wiener dogs, where as I was about to leave one started humping his brother in front of me and my friend said it was to show dominance over the other, and "they just do that sometimes"
Badgers are huge. One of my favorite animals. They look so cool when i see them in the night.
All I can hear is the Dead Milkmen's badger song right now
Honey badger don't care

*THE HONEY BADGER* [picture shown 4.50] is actually a giant weasel and not a badger - just FYI
I think the one in the picture is called Stoffle
Thanks for your kind words about the dogs and the history lesson (might wanna add to their hunting prey list, that they even burrowed out entire nests of rodents like rats). At least in germany, after 1945, the dogs got back to their purposed jobs as hunting dogs and in the 70/80´s spread widely to be pet dogs for families.
