As a Proud owner of a Fully unlocked V-13 I would never put my wheel through this kind of ordeal. If I wanted to I could win that race by a landslide but you have to know when to put your ego aside and think of the safety of others.
You have footage of you hitting a car and leaving the scene at 3:28 and then at 3:56 you almost take out a baby stroller... As a fellow rider, I gotta say this is a terrible way to show your community of riders and possibly give life-altering ideas to other communities who watch this... Not a good look.
The police cant do anything about them leaving the scene since they have no numberplates, although the citizens could grab him and hold him down. And I dont think he hit the car because otherwise he would be dead.
As an EUC rider, got to say.. this may look thrilling but at what cost? Way too much risk to others here. If you want to race join a highway and reduce risk to pedestrians, please. You should always be looking to set an example of good respectful riding. I dismount when i see children, so we are viewed well. This is just wild disregard and troubling.
Incredibly skilled riders doing incredibly reckless things. We can admire the skill but we can't ignore the stupidity. Very hard to defend the EUC community from public hatred when this is the first exhibit for the prosecution.

I hate to say this but there is going to be legislation put forth against euc use in the city. The public transportation department is going to crack down. Euc transportation is causing a risk to drivers and pedestrians by speeding through red lights and narrowly missing hitting pedestrians. A total disregard to traffic laws are going to have a negative effect on the euc community. If we want to continue to be able to travel with eucs we need to abide by the traffic laws only race at closed courses.

It's unlikely that EUC will ever be targeted alone. It's a niche community and will remain so as compared to electric scooters and e-bikes which all the risk you referred to applies to them just as well, if not even more.
Why not go to FDR Drive and navigate through the traffic there? Weaving through slow cars and pedestrians doesn't make you brave; it just shows cowardice.

This is a problem in MA with dirtbikes, cops cant really do anything so if the public wants them stopped they gotta stop them. hell all I did was sit at a stop sign and caught one under my car because he was going too fast and slid , got his bike stuck under my car and tackled by police 50 feet down the road.
