I had a problem attempt to call function get child count in base null instance on a null instance so instead of onready var orb_Container = $GridMap/OrbContainer, I used onready var orb_Container = $Navigation/NavigationMeshInstance/GridMap/OrbContainer
for some reason my *total_orb_count = orb_container.get_child_count()* doesn't work. It says *Attempt to call function 'get_child_count' in base 'null instance' on a null instance.*
I had the same issue but it played the animation when I clicked the "autoplay on load" inside the AnimationPlayer node. the button is beside the Edit button.
