Is it possible to beat Super Mario 64 when all the textures are gone? In this “challenge” video, we will find out just that as we try to get 70 stars and beat Super Mario 64 with no textures! Hope you guys enjoy this one and if you're interested in me doing some more, let me know! :D

@@evinchavarin8770 my sisters lenovo notebook which is very small can run minecraft 1.13 (on windows 10 edition). But on java i only did 1.12.2 because java is so different it lags.

You have to do a challenge of completing Super Mario 64 wifh only the wireframes
Mario 64, but it’s yarn all over the place
Coming soon the following challenges:
- Super Mario 64 with no lightning.
- Super Mario 64 with no animations (T-pose madness).
- Super Mario 64 green screen edition (Every level texture is green but with youtube videos playing on the green screen)
- Super Mario 64 normal edition (basically the vanilla experience as the devs intended).
- Super Mario 64 as a Scuttlebug
Still not the weirdest texture mods. I've seen a Doom mod where every texture is Tim Allen and all sounds are his "Huuuh?" Noise.
And I believe it was Dark Souls where all textures were Nicholas Cage.

I guess being able to see them head-on was important. Most if not all of the sprites in SM64 are billboarded, which would look weird for schooling fish without making a lot of sprites for all the different rotations.

Can you beat Mario 64 by sparing the enemies and only killing the bosses?
It might be even more interesting to try beating the game with the least amount of enemies. You might even be able to spare most big enemies and bosses, except bowser of course
@@Stimmtso4 well, you can actually skip the 1st bowser by getting into the basement early (you may know this if you've ever watched the 0 star TAS before)
It could be done in DS version where you can skip both Bowser fights, so only one enemy kill.

17:30 That thing is terrifying, but I think I know how it looks like that. You said you had a cheat or something that actively undoes Mario's vertex colouring, that's exactly the case, but the textures are still there since it is a textured version of the game.
However there are other scale and camera problems I can't explain
It seems to be the alternate lower poly model, with the pose that happens when the game tries to give it an animation it doesnt know how to use (when there is no animation at all, it does the a pose)

7:06 - more than you'd think. Especially with older games where models have only a handful of triangles and older hardware with limited memory, a texture can take a lot of space.

Fun fact, his accidental save states were for the big mario challenge, which explains why the monstrosity flew away in the bowser fight.
Is there a way to make it so the transparent areas of textures are still transparent? This should make it so that the HUD and text are readable, coins are still round, etc.. I realize that would undo some of the point of this run, but I'd be interested to see what it looks like.

I think the vertex coloring in the Bowser level was just to help with organization.
Those boss levels probably were the most specified and planned.
