Had a good laugh when Ballard and some other neighborhoods were called suburbs, which to be fair is fitting and true depending on how you define suburb. Makes total sense for some new to the area to consider everything outside of the downtown core as a suburb of Seattle. The "city" of Seattle is often considered a city of neighborhoods, each with their own distinct range of suburban and urban.
I’d truly appreciate your advice. I’m visiting Seattle for 3 months and as a young professional, I seek to be somewhere that’s lively but maybe not right inside of Cap Hill. But basically somewhere where I can go to the gym, catch some live music, and find a cool lunch all in the same area. I’m looking at a place in Burien, but I wonder if that’s too far out from everything. - please advise!
I was going to say wow how did you manage to catch Seattle in all it’s peak liveliness lol I did a video of what the city is like during covid and was confused and thought I was crazy lol
Funny, I’m in Seattle visiting right now. I lived here from 2006-2012 and moved back to Spokane (eastern WA) when I got pregnant with my son. I’m here by myself and a lot of my friends are busy because no one knew I was coming. (came for a funeral) I thought to myself, I’m gonna go explore by myself today…then I found your video! We got married in Queen Anne at Parsons Gardens. Thanks for all the fun ideas! Hope you loved it here! ❤️🌲☕️
This was helpful! Going to Seattle at the end of the year for my birthday (solo)! Definitely going to visit Escala where they filmed 50 Shades 👉🏼👈🏼 and possibly the OG Starbucks!
@@sterlingmarshel6299 was this trip last year and she just posted this year? Because it says January 2021. I also was confused by the lack of masks and social distancing, especially in Seattle of all places lol
It took a while for me to go out alone and feel comfortable. I realized that I just needed to enjoy my own company and to put my cell phone away and look approachable look like you have not a thing to do and you can make new friends
I love big cities but the violence, drug addicts, homelessness, etc prevents me from vacationing in those places. It will look bad on me and my family avoiding those at all costs
I vacation in big cities all the time and have never had any problems with your concerns, which btw are also prevalent pretty much anywhere you go nowadays. You need to use your street smarts and common sense when you travel, not just in big cities but anywhere.
I’m about to go visit Seattle again solo this time, but last time I went was right before lockdown. Hows the city handling COVID as of now? I’m from Texas so it’s 100% open here which is why I ask.
I've been in the Seattle area for about 5 years now. I would say Seattle has been doing alright with lifting restrictions but it is not fully open. Mask mandates are still common in most businesses but you can go most places here if you don't mind wearing one.
Shout out to the UA-cam algorithm for suggesting this. I've been missing my annual Washington trip and didn't realize how much until my memories flooded back from seeing the different locations. Still need to check out Gas Works park and can't wait to safely stand in line for food and drinks. Cheers!
This seems to be such a charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont, Capitol Hill are all “neighborhoods” of Seattle NOT suburbs. Like SOHO is a neighborhood of NYC. Suburbs are cities near Seattle, ie Renton or Bellevue.
Thats the problem people will shows Seattle but not the flaws Seattle isn’t perfect and people that are not from here have that perspective that Seattle is all good and and a beautiful city overall and it’s a lie people need to come here to see the flaws of my city call Seattle .
I can´t believe this guy with the violin was since then... I just went yesterday and the same guy was there!!! I wonder how many years he's been playing at that place... Incredible... Great video...
Hi! I'm venturing to Seattle in April for my first solo getaway and was wondering what spots you really enjoyed on your trip. I'm a coffee snob and love my sweets. It's been so difficult trying to narrow things down for a short trip!
I still need to visit Seattle. Have never been but love the coffee scene there.
Just had someone book my photoshoot who specifically mentioned your video as the reason they booked! Thank you 🙏 ❤️
This is So perfect I’m going to Seattle for a solo trip next month ! Totally loving these ideas
Seattle is the most perfect place for a solo trip💚 hope you have a blast!!
Me too! Planning one for August or Sept.
Great vid 🙂 as a seattle local, you really hit up all the must see spots!
Great video gonewiththewendy - Seattle looks a great place to explore.
This was helpful, I am considering moving to Washington. . . Thank you for this video !!😁

Went to Seattle recently, so beautiful there and I stayed in the citizen m hotel which has amazing walk ability. Worth the 9 hour drive there
Seattle does look amazing

Thank you for this video I’m taking a solo trip to Seattle and I’m excited!
Walking around is a workout in Seattle! Did you do any hiking while you were there? The hiking views are soooo beautiful!
Thanks for visiting Seattle and for making this video. Kudos 👍
What month did you shoot this video in? I like to know what the weather is like in March.

ahhh i miss traveling! cant wait we can travel safely again!
also miss seattle! so much good food to eat there!
Such a Seattleite thing to do: ice cream in the winter
Damn.. look at all those crowds. And no masks! Feels like years ago. Glad you had fun!
it was Feb if you actually read the description - one month before covid restrictions

Amazing vlog!! (BTW, those are some pretty amazing food shots you got there!)
Beautiful spots! Awesome adventure
Love this!! I did the very same in the beginning of Feb. it was beautiful. I will be returning in the summer.
thanks for the ideas!! i’m going on my solo trip here soon
Usually visit seattle n vancouver annually during the summer when it's really hot in Miami and love the area
I'm going to Seattle right now lol
I live in Seattle!! I hope you all have fun here!! Just watch out for homeless people that key your cars.
Seattle looks a fascinating place to visit.
awesome tour of the area!
Hi, What was the wonderful looking seafood restaurant at 6:53?
Greatttttttt video!!
Love the vlog!
It took a while for me to go out alone and feel comfortable. I realized that I just needed to enjoy my own company and to put my cell phone away and look approachable look like you have not a thing to do and you can make new friends
Great vlog! Did you use an app to book the photographer?
cool!
Awesome video!! :)
What season was this? I noticed you dressed warm.
This was February, it was pretty cold!
what was the sea food restaurant u mentioned 😬
On a solo trip right now kinda lonely 😅
Sailing on Seattle's Tall Ship the 'Bay Lady' was a blast! Enjoy last night's sunset cruise. Hit link: ua-cam.com/video/6r_bl5OhkrE/v-deo.html
😍😍
So... The statute under the bridge...
Do hotels still charge a $2 per day "tourist tax"?
Yes they still have to pay off the corpse of the Kingdome
So you left the line only to wait in a line lol

You should not travel in a pandemic for some youtube money....
@@gonewiththewendy Then why would you not include that in the title?!
Here is an idea -- READ the description box before you comment -- it clearly says it was Feb 2020 one month later restrictions hit
@Nostradamus I agree
I thought the lack of masks and social distancing made it obvious 🤷🏽♂️
@@itisi2615 she doesn’t have to put anything in the title. You should read first or go watch another video.

I personally call those Jeff Bezos' giant balls.

Is Burien a suburb? Where might be the best place for a newcomer to stay for like 3 months? I heard cap hill is great but might be too overly busy..
I was thinking about moving there or SF after college... ugh so hard to choose lmao
seattle is more better
I enjoyed watching this video! Thank you for sharing in the description the places you went to!

Can you please tell me what that song is at 8:50? Nothing comes up when I Google the lyrics… soo strange.
This seems to be the perfect itinerary for a weekend trip in a Seattle! Hope I can go soon but lol I'm so scared to solo travel. Any tips?
Did that guy run into you at the harsh cut at 6:06? It looks like he was about to.
They're neighborhoods, not suburbs

If you like chai lattes, Moore’s is the best I’ve had and my first stop when in Seattle. Storyville has great coffee.
I’m about to do this
Wow so weird seeing people eating in restaurants and no masks! Glad you fit this in before Covid got crazy!
so awesome!

The Seattle in this video no longer exists.

it will be back as it always does and other cities will be back as well
