@@Armymi33 yes obviously there was access otherwise we wouldn't have a video. However the military in the last year or so has been trending up with the use of social media collaboration projects. Thanks for the video. Great job putting this together. I retired out of Bragg, but my first 5 years were as a Marine Corps Scout Sniper. That was back during the initial push to Baghdad and we were using M40A1's with the old Unertl scopes. Vietnam era gear. It's great to see how far things have developed in terms of gear, tactics and training. Glad to see that our boys are getting this level of development. Thanks again for putting this together.
Thanks for the great coverage! Whenever it takes 43 minutes just to give an overview of the stages you know it's gonna be a knocker! I really enjoyed how they made almost every stage impossible to "best time for accuracy" on, instead going for more realistic compromise and thinking games 👍 I guarantee this match probably checked a lot of egos! (Probably even the winning team's) I really enjoyed the quality of the camera work and editing 👍 that night footage had me confused until you explained your camera setup! 😄
Thank you Tom for your effort in sharing this great content with your viewers and UA-cam crowd in general. That is a very intensive competition, with lots of tough stages...I guess a lot of people have no idea how tough that is, carrying all that gear around, physical stress, quick judgement and decision making on the spot, synergy with your team mates, marksmanship, equipment knowledge and familiarity, and lots more...very very insightful. Thanks once again, great work!!! I think people will appreciate more their service men and women, and what they have to endure to keep their country safe....and this is just a glimpse of a real world scenario of what would happen in a battlefield.
Great video! It actually made me miss Ft. Bragg, which I didn't think was possible. Amazing seeing those heroes doing what they do best. I hope that guy who lost his pistol while he was running got a new holster
Enjoyed every minute. Thank you for presenting aspects of your life and of the Tip of the Spear warrior training. Patriot families across this nation salute you all.
Very clear that PRS gear is making a huge impact in how they use and tune their equipment. There is a lot of gear there that originated from PRS. Very cool!
I had to check the title right after it started. I almost thought it was an interview with Cpt Jeffrey McDonald. Great coverage of the match. I really enjoyed getting some of the perspectives shown.

@@hoot1141 okay I'm about to tell you something crazy so get in your safe space and get ready. So the Taliban are back in power and have taken over Afghanistan 2 weeks after the foreigners left.
I love all the pistol shooting. Because the old saying “your pistol is just to get back to your rifle” is bullshit. You should be proficient with all or your weapon systems.

At 3:05, what does foreground shooter have on the front of his rifle? A range finder? And is it mounted over the lens of his scope, or does it just look that way in 2D and its actually sitting offset with it and not blocking the lens at all?
Very cool video about the training taking place, I often get to see some in action at range 14 in NJ. They do a lot of ops around the base locations in that area which are viewable from the street. Nice break down, lots of respect to the brave service men doing the training too!
Don't listen to these other guys, they didn't read your question properly (they're looking at the rangefinders ON TOP of the scope, not the device IN FRONT of the scope). It's a clip-on FLIR/thermal sight. I'm not sure of the exact model, sorry. Ps. I don't believe that they are correct about the rangefinders either. They don't appear to be RAPTAR's or STORM'S, FWIW.
Good footage. However I wished you would of actually showed the runs. You talk about the stages but you don’t actually show the stages of teams going through it. You could explain the stages while they’re going through it.
AWSOME! Real shooters. There’s one more shooting event they need to add. 4 guys in an Impala driving by a group of Taliban or Crips, turn your guns sideways so as to look cool. Start blasting while yelling obscenities. The team who kills most of the bad guys with out shooting grandma or the kids win 🥇! Just a thought for the urban portion of the competition.🤔

WOW! Where has your channel been all my life? That being said, your next channel should be called "Kentucky Windage." Yes, there will be another channel. Anyway, 175lbs dummy? The US military actually thought it would be a good idea to make a dummy reminiscent of a Tanker?! Bought g*&dam time, if you ask me. We could have used that type of realistic training during our Combat Medical Specialist course thirty+ years ago. G*&dam Tankers 😋Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever treated a Tanker that weighed less than 220lbs. Evacuate the MREs before we pick you up, dammit! And while I'm at it, read-up on Field Hygiene course, geez!
So, this training exercise all about going for run then drawing the weapon and taking one silly shot to test there shooting skills while catching there breath.
I came to watch a sniper competition but instead watched you talk about it for 40 minutes with like 2 minutes of actual footage. Why not show more footage with a voice over? Pretty disappointed because I came to watch a sniper competition.
