Great informative video! Before I watched this video, I had already enrolled in WGU for the Bachelor’s program in User Experience, with an initial start date of October 1st. I’m a bit nervous, but I think I’ll do just fine. I recently completed a UX/UI bootcamp, and I believe the knowledge I gained will be very helpful throughout my degree. I’m currently in the IT general program at WGU and I am very excited to see this new degree added because I love user experience and user interface. After studying all the courses I feel this is a great program however, I agree with you and do wish that there was more classes that focused on UI design as well, overall great program. I also think that this would pair really well with the WGU masters degree in technology and instructional design. I will definitely be changing my major to this UX program because this is exactly what I was looking for to be able to blend technology the user experience and I can certainly learn user interface in greater detail on the side. I like that they have figma/ adobe express as part of this program as well. The business core classes are great and I feel that this program can also prepare you to do freelance work in UIUX
Your videos are very helpful but how do you know this about how long and all or hard or easy the class is? That is so much research and we appreciate it!
Would you recommend a degree in SNHU's Graphic Design and Media Arts with concentration in UX or WGU's UX degree? I don't really mind about accelerating too fast but I would like the degree that will get me most interview opportunities.
If I start in November and worked on these classes say 5 hours per day and 3 days 6-7 hours could Is it doable to complete all of these classes before starting in Nov? Just to be sure these have to be completed before right ? Does it matter that I already am enrolled with a tentative date of Nov ? Or should I change the date to December ? Also great video ! I already got hired as a UX UI designer just using a Google certificate and some freelance experience. But I don’t have a degree and want to get one, for future advancement and personal satisfaction. Would you recommend to go with this BS at WGU or a BA in Design- UXUI from SNHU?
I am thinking of enrolling in February after completing my associates degree (one class left.) on WGU they say with an associates it leaves 28 courses left. Can you take any of those ACE courses as well? I know they only accept 52 but if I could speed up graduation I would love to. If you have to take the 28 classes regardless, do you think those 28 classes can be accelerated?
Probably pretty good but I think a tech master’s or mba would help better with job prospects. A UX/UI Bachelors with a MBA Master’s can absolutely get you hired as a new grad Product Manager at big companies. Six figures in Cali.

User Experience is a recognized Bachelor Degree by companies. “Graphic Design” is not.
