    I will be finished with my AAS in 2025. I want to go over to WGU and take this to make my resume look a bit better. My AAS is Network Administration, I want to get a Bachelor's ASAP to not waste anymore time. I'm currently a Help Desk Tech and have been for almost 2 years.

    Im currently a full-time SWE (2 yrs of exp) and I am quitting the WGU SWE degree because im burnt out coding at work and then coding for school. Im considering this since I eventually want to be a SWE manager in the next 5-10 yrs. Coding at work is cool but I absolutely hate the trivial coding questions schools require you to solve 🤣 it just doesn't translate in the real world so Im hoping this is a better plan!

    Thank you for the videos man, I have learned a lot of new information. I'm starting July 1st WGU, I went to a vocational school and land myself a IT job and been doing it for years but now I want more. I want to finish this in less than a year and that's my goal. what if I decided to take the Geneds in WGU? would that make it longer? is it not possible knock a English clash in two days (given that you already know the material).

    Excellent video! Just what I needed, I know you like software engineering degree, however I have a lot of business management experience, and I also have some credits from a college for business degree, but I am very interested in the IT field, I would like to move up in my current job, can this degree help me jump in the IT field with my job? Also, you mentioned something about adding certifications, how would I do that? Since this degree does not include certs, or what do you recommend I do as far as a degree? I have no IT experience, please help since I am tired of sales in my current job. I wanna have more options. Thanks

    Thank you so mch for taking the time to explain all this. Is there a reason why you did not use Sophia for most? I have checked and they are there too.

      Either is fine, but Study has more tech classes that transfer, better interface, and no papers for 100 level classes. I’d rather do a ton of quizzes over writing.

    Does principles of microeconomics from Sophia alone cover principles of economics at wgu? Since wgu consists of macro and micro economics. And does same go for taking macroeconomics alone at Sophia?

    I’m in community college right now, taking up my second internship currently and I am now entering sophomore year looking to add more classes. Could this be tangible if I want to work/ intern while pursuing my bachelors ? I’ve noticed the disconnect of experience vs holding a degree to employers with no experience and that is why I’m considering WGU, to build my portfolio of experience and then finish my bachelors so I can enter the field with a good bit of credentials+ a degree. I feel like if I attended a instate school for a bachelors program it would be drawn out and lengthy and my college would be taken care of but it is also a expensive penny that I would if I could… avoid paying. Also why WGU is on the table.

      PMP for Project Management, and MBA would be helpful but not necessary.

    I am currently enrolled in the Supply Chain & Ops Management program. I work in pharmaceuticals currently as a QA Representative, but I am wanting to transition back to an Analyst role. I have 2 years of experience as a very entry level data analyst role years back. I think I'm going to stick with my current major for the next term and get the WGU Business Analytics certificate (not included in the BSBAITM program and the Google Data Analytics certificate, take a 2-month break, grab the Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst cert and then transition to the BSBA, ITM major. I'm hoping this path will allow me to transition to an Analytical role while I finish out my degree seeing as how I'd have 3 certificates and solid previous experience. Is this a strategy you would recommend to someone in my situation?

    • @FriedeJS
      @FriedeJS 3 місяці тому

      & then continue with the MS, Data Analytics degree. That's the game plan.
