Well I have no desire at all to pay for a new water pump. I’m gonna have then do the thermostat and the temperature sensor & hope that works. If not-I guess I’ll have them do the water hose too
The thing is, they just went in and did a repair and said coolant and hose looked fine

At what speed car used to get overheat? My car overheating at high speeds. Locally it runs absolutely fine.
My car giving water pump error p261b. Had it replaced few days later got same error.
Now im going to change pump again with brand new one also a thermostat.
Its not giving me temperature sensor error, but after watching your video i might change that too. Because at one stage i saw coolant boiling but no temperature light. So it could be thermostat or a sensor. Causing pump to fail.

@@peterl6095 what code did you get?
On mine it was water pump. Then replaced with second hand. Second day got same error again. Im assuming its something different causing pump to fail.

Waterpump only....this was before I installed the nonoem pump....did not get any codes after installing the pump but kept having overheating issues.

@@peterl6095 new pump, thermostat and temp sensor changed. Will do a test drive tonight.
For the temp sensor, i did a quick resistance test and readings were similar for both new and old sensor. Also i found another temp sensor located on egr pipes.
      Hopefully its all sorted.

My car was heating up and I checked a thermostat
    And water pump
Radiator and still it is heating up
Is it related to this sensor?

Waterpump, thermostat and coolant temperature sensor....make sure they are all oem.

I replaced the waterpump with a nonoem waterpump....had all kinds of overheating issues. The coolant was bubbling up at the resevoir so I knew it wasn't just a sensor issue but I changed them out anyway...not hard jobs.

@@peterl6095 z. You didn't say what you did? You bought a cheap water pump first and it was dead on arrival? So you bought another one and that fixed it. I got a cheap one off Amazon and I'm wondering if it's bad just like the original.
