LGR Oddware - InterAct Pool Shark Pool Cue Controller
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 чер 2016
- Miacomet made this billiards controller for the PC under their Real Feel line around 1999! Time to play some Doom 2016 with it (and some pool too, I guess.)

Now to wait for someone to beat Dark Souls 3 using this thing.
Without taking any damage. ;-)

Didn’t expect you to be here.
@@enonibobble Didn't expect you reply to a 2-year old comment
"Polygon was still worse at it than me."
Savage.
I was expecting comments making jabs at Polygon. LGR beat us all to the punch. _Brilliant._
I need that Momiji avatar if you don't mind Citizen, it would come in handy for my duties.
Awoo~

"8-ball into the pocket of hell!!! BOOM!!!!"
Best intro by far, LGR.
It was so good, you couldn't even quote it correctly :P
I’m torn between this and “My headphones are burgers.”
I love that really subtle transition at 1:52 from box to internals. It just looks so seamless and cool.
Thanks!
Wow, i didn't even noticed that!
he moved the outer cardboard shell out of the frame and moved the internal cardboard holder into frame, there were no tricks
Actually, there were a few seconds between each shot, I used a crossfade to make it look seamless :)
Ah, well keep up the good work. You'll be a Pool shark in no time :)
3:35
I found it absolutely hilarious when that sign dropped from the shelf :D
Yep, definitely “super menacing”! He hit that sign off-screen!
I cried of laughing because it comes together so perfect
The cheesy Soundtrack
A ridicioulus cheap Controller from the 90s
A funny guy trying to play Pool with that thing.
Nico Vercetti and the "real feal action" * leny face here *
And playing doom with a pool cue
oh, yeah, baby!
And the best part: LGR's intense head dance to that cheesy jazz music at 8:44
I'd actually love to have this sound track, I collect mid 90's game music. It's almost like they bid and bought music by the pound those days.
Did anyone ever in human history send in those registration cards? Everything in the 90s had one
I sent mine in back then! Got all sorts of cool things in the mail after that, like catalogs and magazines. Well, my parents probably weren't too fond of it, but I loved it.
Koichi Sugiyama sent one in once, which is how he got hired to compose the soundtracks to the Dragon Quest games.
Unrelated, but if you did some more Tech Tails that would rock, they are always so great.. You do them so well, its like a mini Documentary that would have never gotten made otherwise.
I did a few times, never really got anything for it though. Maybe like, LGR said some catalogs which was fun to look at.
WHAT? Please explain!
Oh so this is what Polygon was using when they recorded their "30 minutes gameplay of Doom" video. Makes total sense now.
Dammit, took my joke, ha ha!
+BygPhattyPlus you too? Dammit I thought I would be faster
"What's interesting about this is.... the fact that it barely works." 😂😂😂
10/10 would guffaw again
Shots fired at Polygon
Accurately aimed with the pool stick on a mouse. .
And Polygon can't even hit back.
"8 ball into the corner pocket of hell!" I don't know why but hearing that makes me smile every time.
'Polygon were still worse at it than me'. Hah. I knew there was a reason why I liked you :D
I came here to make a Polygon joke but he beat me
"polygon was still worse at it than me" that was savagry
"Why did the 90's happen?!" Hahahahaha!
if someone told me the 90s were a fever dream i had after consuming too much corporate dystopia sci-fi, i would be inclined to believe theme
"Why did the 90's happen?"
I laughed harder than I should have!
Someone needs to make a meme of that among other things in this video alone!
"It does look a lot like a mouse..." Actually I was thinking it looked a lot like a baby's shoe. :)
0:31 "Why did the 90's happen?"...classic
9:54 the "its like I'm playing a demented fiddle" comment made me laugh so hard. I had water in my mouth at the time... time to clean that up....
Oh LGR, you're so amusing to watch; I mainly used your channel to watch The Sims, but loving everything from the edutainment months to the thrifts! Thank you for your work :D You're awesome.
Thanks, I appreciate it :)
That guy has such a soothing voice
Bring back the 90s. Nobody has ideas quite like this any more! Also, boxes. And manuals. And registration cards. And stuff.
Waste of money I guess it's unique but software is where it's at now.
It was a magical time. :) Computer tech was creative and always trying new things. Sure, not a lot of them worked out. But at least they tried! Haha
You remember that the 90s also had a fascination for see-through things?
From calculators to Game Boys, etc. lol
It's not that nobody has ideas like this any more, but rather most companies are far more reluctant to invest any effort in such a weird concept that has little chance of success. That's what kickstarter is for now! Fund haphazard innovation through the masses!
One of the times I actually miss the 90's.
Turned out to be way better than I thought it would.
I want one.
Wow, that thing belongs into the top 5 of the most silliest controllers of all time, together with the fishing rod controller, the bowling controller and the Wii U controller.
So playing Doom with a pool cue turns you into a Polygon journalist?
I think he'd have to be playing doom with a pool cue while drunk, blindfolded and walking a tightrope to be a Polygon journalist
Be N S O N GILLIAN SEED!
+Kohowch Kohowch CUNNINGHAM!
Lol I thought this was going to be a review for a pool cleaner. Idk
Same
Haha same.
It really gets around those corners
SAMEEEEEEEEEEE
Didn't we all
"Geoffrey, break out Lucille!!" - Uncle Phil
"8-Ball in to the corner pocket of hell!", I almost, "almost", spit my beer out.
It's probably 'Mee-ah-koh-meht'
" 'Do not use in direct sunlight', hmmm where have I heard that one before?"
*shows quick image of Sexy Mouse* lmfao
The amount of humor between you, 8-bit Guy/Keys, and game-ranx is honestly what keeps me coming back. AVGN too.
9:16
"It still sucks"
about sums up the whole review lol
3:34 to 3:38 are the best four seconds I have ever seen on UA-cam
Between that and when he nearly puts a hole in his monitor with the pool cue, I died laughing
that intro was epic! now there's another way I have to play through the doom campaign lol
You played it like damn fiddle!
THEY PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE
Its so useless you would think it was funded on kickstarter :)
that's the thing I hate nowadays how come useless things like this were always being made left and right back in the day but now it seems like nowadays companies try to milk out money from its fans first and still come out with something not as good (I'm looking at you mighty nine) (also I'm not talking about out of frustration from axtually funding the game, nut seeing everyone else's frustration in the UA-cam comments was pretty bad. lol)
ZING
@@FirebertDancer What I don't understand is why are people so dumb and gullible that they get convinced to fund these scams on kickstarter.
Harsh! (Looks better than almost everything that I've seen on kickstarter.)
Its actually pretty fun to use if setup right and used on a bigger surface.
Ha! So true with that Polygon comment!
13:09 daym clint putting the burn on polygon.
I'll leave now.
Nah, they probably just have no skills because they just report on game-related drama, write shitty articles and talk about the politics in the philippines while stuffing their face with puff-pastry canapés instead of actually playing games.
I wonder if the reviewer tried to outsource the gameplay and it backfired on him.
gdog662 I don't think so, even if that's the case doom is a genuinely fun game that even a outsourced (whatever) can enjoy.
"Why did the nineties happen?"
When I look back I often ask the same thing.
9:10 Wingardium Leviosa!
"Sunshine daisies butter mellow, sink this stinkin' pool ball yellow!" :P
Avada Kedavra!
"8-ball into the corner pocket of HELL!"
Why ware you so good at coming up with one-liners?
I still love going back to this video once in a while because you playing Doom with that thing is just hilarious!!
I love your krusty the clown laugh.
Heh, I love it when he tries using the various input devices on games they were not meant for, like when he played GTA 5 with a pinball controller.
what is the name of that video?
LGR - Oddware - Philips Virtual Pinball Controller
ok thank you
5:01 - **_War Flashbacks_**
Wow, almost like playing Doom with the controller!
yeah no
It works well with the controller. Quit being edgy.
Jody Barker
...Ehhhhhhhhhh...
Sure, m8.
I was literally going to type a joke about Arthur Gies' gameplay for Polygon and LGR beat me to the punch. It's honestly sad that you were gimped and still provided more compelling gameplay.
Love that jab at Polygon!
I got a good kick out of your Polygon jab *rimshot*
Between you and Technomoan you've got it nailed. Top stuff man, thanks for your great work.
This is one of the most bizarre and hilarious gaming accessories I've ever seen.
And this video quickly degraded down to fingering, lmao.
Best use of it is definitely Doom, that's fantastic! Thanks for giving me a chuckle today LGR!
Polygon literally was worse than that.
I was thinking the same thing, Clint was indeed literally better the game with this weird thing than the guy at polygon. Did we ever find out who was playing it that day?
*****
Yeah apparently the guy's name is Arthur Gies. He made a single response to ReviewTechUSA in an attempt to defend his honor and then immediately blocked him thereafter.
***** I got reminded of a gameplay video from Gametrailers of Metal Gear Rising. The player was just standing there, activated Blade Mode and button mashed in the vain hope it would accomplish something.
Clicked like when the CompUSA sign fell. :3c
Part of me wishes CompUSA or a chain like them were still around, but another part realizes how unsustainable the business model would be in today's society. :(
The pool cue with Doom had me dying! I enjoy all your uploads, keep it up!
I love the added Color Of Money references one of my favorite movies!
USB man makes things happen LGR--2016
Dark Souls with Pool Cue. Go.
kinda off topic but, wasnt there a guy who beat DS with a guitar from guitar hero?
Yes, and he also did it with a set of Rock Band drums too I think.
And a Joel from vinesauce attempted to play Half-Life 2 with a Guitar Hero guitar controller
Ibuilt my first computer in 1994. An AMD 486 100 DX4. Seeing all this stuff from the 90's takes me back. Now that I am older and facing Surgeries and other things I don't want to think about, your humor and nostalgia fo things you've never exerienced before but I remember are a great help to me. Thank you.
"Why did the 90's happen?" x3
Just gotta say, I fucking love your videos dude
Thank you!
starstruck!!! Lazy Game Reviews
"Demented Fiddle" sounds like a black metal/country fusion band.
Another fine piece if oddware, love your oddware videos, actually love all your work, particularly your Tech Tales, they are fascinating.
I watch this video a lot me and my dad use to play Virtual Pool on our Gateway 2000 running windows 98! I love the game of pool and I play a ton. Love your videos keep up the good work!
He played it like a demented fiddle!
This is why I sub to you
Ah, man! Your content has gotten so much more interesting. Don't stop doing what you do, Mr.LGR man. You're awesome!
Your videos reliably provide me a calm serenity. Never change!
"I'm moving two feet by moving two inches." HEYO
This reminds me of The Simpsons episode that had some kind of yard work simulator, kinda making fun of controllers like these when you could just as well do it for real LOL
God I miss the 90s, I watch you because you give me that 90s feeling, seeing the graphics, the sounds, the amazement of the good ol' 90s.
I went and bought one on Ebay after seeing this video. Works great for Virtual Pool 4 on Steam. Mine didn't come with the stick, but I use a short one from a desktop pool table found at Goodwill. Thanks LGR.
Wow, still better than Polygon and you played with a freaking pool cue.
XD I said that before I saw you mention Polygon.
In so many ways the DOOM demo was hilarious :)
OMG, you just inadvertently made me remember that I used to play Virtual Pool a lot back in the day, holy shit, can't believe I forgot about this game, good jolly was it fun..
When he said "Why did the 90's happen?" I laughed so hard XD
Your voice is butter fucking smooth >_
How could people dislike this? It was entertaining and fun to watch!
1161 likes and 5 dislikes. Probably all Polygon and Miacomet employees.
Nice video LGR! Looking at the picture for the video I thought this was some sort of ironing device. Loving seeing all the weird tech I thought MIGHT be cool when I use to go in to Babbage's in Hanes Mall.
your amusment in this video is simply adorable.
Liked for polygon dig.
I love you in a manly way.
Uhh I guess.
Now kiss.
The tom cruise doom reference was superb.
Found this thing in the dumpster today and was happy to view a hilarious video demonstrating its use
flicking the finger is better than using the stick, huh? good to know :)
This has been your pro life tip from LGR.
_Heh. Tip._
wait that Doom gameplay looked very familiar...the way he was aiming and moving
now we know why the gameplay from the polygon review of Doom sucked so bad....the reviewer was also using the InterAct Pool Shark Pool Cue Controller
That's the joke.
"8-Ball into the corner pocket of hell!!!" Perfect intro LOL
Love your voice and your videos! Very narrator-like and professional. Love them!
Thank you!
LMAO this thing is awesome and useless at the same time, it's like bad b movie, you can't not love it.
6:52 *swoon*
#noHomo
brings a whole new meaning to "party like it's 1999"
I really like the warm light over the white light at 5:50, feelsgoodman
I don't know if someone asked this already, but where do you find all of this crazy stuff? Do viewers send it all in or does it come from a bunch of different places? Love your channel! Keep up the awesome work!
Quite often it's from viewers these days. But the rest of the time it's from thrift stores or Ebay.
+Lazy Game Reviews you're still better at doom than polygon, even when you use a pool cue.
you play DooM better with a Pool cue than Polygon does with a controller
Considering I made that exact joke in the video, I agree ;)
I feel so welcomed by the LGR Oddware. My absolute favorite segment.
What a gimmick! Also have to give you major props for always trying these specialized input controllers with Duke Nukem or Doom in this case. I was cracking up again.
Thumbs up alone for the Polygon remark!
That's a lovely Samsung monitor you have, may I ask what model it is?
It's an S27D590
Thank you, has a lovely thin bezel.
Can somebody explain the "ask Tom Cruise" joke about pool and doom to me?
Tom did a movie early in his career called "The Color of Money." In it, he played a pool hustler that gets taken under the wing of an old pro for drama and hi-jinks. Tom's character's response to being asked what was in his cue case was "doom."
Fantastic video! I always love oddware.
Clint. I know this is like 2 years old but this is your best video ever. The product is so "you" and it was hilarious throughout.
Interesting gadget thing! Should've played a sex simulator with it.
So that was why Polygon was so bad at the game…
They were actually using a regular mouse the whole time. If they had been using this they would have been godly.
Gotta be one of my favorite Oddwares yet! :D
I've never seen this or even heard of it! Awesome!
