    To anyone that wants to do these scenarios without these tricks or micro-rides, the best thing to do is to build short coasters. Making them large will eventually give diminishing returns on stats, wasting your money. Go for high-stat medium-sized coasters once you have enough income from the smaller rides and coasters. Even on pay-for-entry parks, small coasters can help rise the entry price to its max quickly while attracting the most guests for your buck. Also, don’t forget those powerful tower rides.

    Park Rating Boards HATE this ONE SIMPLE TRICK

  • @LuigiSkyskip
    @LuigiSkyskip 3 роки тому +143

    You've made me too good at this game Marcel.
    As a kid I couldn't even get past forest frontiers until my 20th try. Thanks to your videos I now have extremely important information like:
    - Peeps are idiots and will pay ridiculous money for the most mundane rides, as long as they're fairly new.
    - The €27 1-tile maze for +40 guest cap is extremely useful to spam. 3 of them in a 9x9 grid (space for entrance and exit) gives 120+ guest cap for under €100.
    - Building smaller coasters is much better than large complex designs.
    - Focus on building rides with high excitement (e.g. Thrill rides).
    - Keep guests happy by placing benches, bins, and handymen while also making sure no paths lead to dead-ends.
    And now when I play this game it's too tempting to just spam guest-cap mazes and charge €20 for umbrellas.

    If you play open RCT2, you can also refurbish rides to keep their park value up, and its often much less expensive than building a new coaster. That is a hilariously easy way to do it! I think you may have touched on this before but I would like to add that if you want to achieve this scenario goal by another method, you can refurbish almost any ride, either for free through cheats, or if you go to the desired ride, close it, and then go to the wrench/ maintenance options tab, the little crane button near bottom right will allow you to pay a cost to make your ride good as new, including its initial park value boost. This can often be enough to "properly" achieve your objective.

    Hello!
    I was playing this game in the early 2000's
    So I have a question, a question about a plug in software I had to open during the game.
    That software let me set all the park setting; visitor money, hungry, happiness, tolerance to hard rollercoasters etc'
    I also could set the rollercoaster maintenance, this software gave us the possibility to play on all the maps, all the tiles..
    Did you ever hear about that?
    Cause I actually don't know where to find any information, and would like to build again massive parks as I was doing when I was younger.

      The only trainer before OpenRCT2 that I know of is 8 cars per trainer, so maybe it was that?

    So basically you make a park museum and the value will skyrocket.

    This is just The Producers for roller-coasters. Build a cheap attraction that no one will ever see, claim a vast production budget, open it once, then write it off as a loss to keep all the investment money.

    I think a potential "fix" for this could be to have rides that aren't open only contribute 1/10th of their park value.

    • @MarcelVos
      @MarcelVos  3 роки тому +1

      Wouldn't really change it that much. You'd just have to build all your park value bombs within 5 months of each other as after 5 months rides decrease in value for the first time.

  • @Aerotactics

    Why does intensity increase the park value? Shouldn't it be the quality of the rides, or how much the rides cost?

    • @MarcelVos
      @MarcelVos  3 роки тому +1

      I suppose it was the easiest to do it via the stats. You can watch my video about the Park Value to see how exactly it works.

  • @DarkWarchieff
    @DarkWarchieff 3 роки тому +1

    Is it possible to mod it so intensity doesn't touch it, ride type, ride length (without guests wanting off), hourly profit and excitement define park value? I feel it'll be better for scenario play.

    Interesting fact if you look at Neptune's Knot the first drop is not even 300 ft so technically it's a hyper coaster 😂😂😂😂 a lot of people that play roller Coaster tycoon 2 and 3 and 1 never caught on to that.

      @@VictorPenteado Most of the broken coasters with way too high intensity have extreme lateral G's, so a lot of videos would be the same. UA-camrs Brian Andrelczyk and Mickelman's RCT station are currently doing a series where they fix layouts by making them more realistic, but I don't think the equivalent of increasing the stats would work well.
