Hey, Amazing Video Ive just subscribed! Just bought these too, Do you have a link to the white mount you had, looks amazing and I would love to make something similar! Thanks
Just a side note - your mess with the Filament for the 3D Pen was not the AMS fault, the AMS does not care if you have a bunch of spaghetti or a proper spool in there, and even if it gets tangled, the tangle sensor just stops the print the main issue here is proabably the filament itself - what you get for 3d pens is usually the wierd crap you don't what to put in your printer - usually there have lots of fragments and dirt pieces in them that would partially clog a 0,8 mm nozzle frequently or it is not a pure filament - even if it says PLA they probably put other stuff in it, like industry waste products that are not properly cleaned or even old PET bottles you won't notice that in a 3d pen because they are usually way to hot and have a very big orifice - but in a 3d printer, it usually does not come out as expected
@@LayerLegacy yeah, you said that I the video I learned that the hard way too - I've bought one of those 20 colors bundle out there from a supplier that Usually makes OK filament just to print Benchies for an "art project", every color was enough to print roughly 2 Benchies their regular filament never made any significant problems, but in this case most of them were perfect material for r/cursedbechies - about 1/3rd of the prints had a clog or partial clog I'll never do this again - if I need custom colors, I print my own filament 😂
I found your video looking for reviews on this swatch. Personally, I can just about see lines on the matte ones in your video (at 1080p), both at 1:35 and 7:00. I don't think any of them are injection moulded.
Thank you for pointing this out, I think you may be right. When I was recording the lighting wasn’t very good so I just assumed for some of them they were injection moulded because I couldn’t see the lines but on the video it is pretty clear that they look 3D printed.
most of them are injection moulded, they just mimic the extrusion lines on the top and bottom - only special filaments that require proper extrusion, especially the silk and metal filaments aswell as the filled filaments like marble and such are indeed printed because without a laminar flow out of the nozzle they would look vastly different
I want them to use to decide which colors i want to buy/use for a project like making a model car. I have an easier time visualizing with the colors in front of me

Thanks, I didn’t really have high hopes for it anyway but since the print had basically failed I thought it was worth a shot.
