Not just terrible people. These are the people that the 'fragile' trans students are relying on to defend positions. In fact, the triggered individuals would have been better served to have counselors who are able to discuss situations.

i assumed college kids were smart and could think for themselves. i did some door dashing as a side gig in a college town. not one of them knew how to put their dorm address in the app. they all keep using the address for the college or university itself. also they are all terrible tippers. if anyone considers door dashing around a college just don't. i had way better tips and friendlier people in gated community areas instead. i know they never put the gate code in and you gotta call them almost every time but it is way easier than trying to find a random dorm building some college kid doesnt even know the address for. you could be off by a few miles on some of these campuses.
People need to remember that there's a difference between hate speech, and speech that you hate.

I've been saying the same thing for years. If you are going to get "Harmed" by what somebody else says, then you should never leave your house and never use social media. Just go live in the woods where nobody will ever talk to you again.

I hope you don’t mind me saying but I feel the same way. I am a biological lesbian (so sad I have to make that difference known) I have received a lot of threats and abuse for being homosexual, i do not have a issue if someone doesn’t support my sexuality because that is there right. As long as I have human rights like anyone else I don’t have a problem, if they scream at me or express displeasure because of it , I’m not going to crumble. I just think we’ll that’s how you feel it’s valid to them and I don’t have to be affected by that, it’s not my problem. If someone physically hurts me or threatens my life, I have an issue .but just having an opinion is welcome always as free speech is everybody’s right and how you handle someone else opinion is your issue yet these woke fools try to hold the whole world accountable for how they feel and don’t care how that effects people around them. I have never supported pride because of this mentality I don’t need to make my sexuality someone else’s issue or shove it in people’s faces. I have Christian friends even though I am not Christian and we have a lot of opposing views but we can still be friends by respecting each other’s right to have those views. Difference of opinion doesn’t always mean a bad thing. I hope you didn’t mind me sharing that.
That’s like everyday for us even by FRIENDS, I can’t tell you how many times people would just flat out say some stuff about it in front of me without a second thought.
I just laugh about it. It takes a bit more than that to ruin my day.
l feel the same way but they are things that are off limits for Islam and Judaism.
My sister is one of these people. We used to get into Arguments all the time and they’d always end with me unconvinced and her completely losing her shit. Last thing I would tell her, “If you can’t explain it don’t defend it”, then she’d storm off and slam her door shut.

They told the gentleman that in order for him to come to college campuses and have this conversation he should have a therapist on site in order to protect the feelings and mental health of LBGTQ students. Of course they didn’t care about getting a therapist on site for the traditional heterosexual students when they are being taught LBGTQ ideology.

I absolutely LOVE people who TEACH! You could call him a professor, but he's a TEACHER. People should be going to school to learn, but they've been taught all their lives to remember, rather than learn. This guy is the professor you should WANT to have. All these people seem to want to have a professor that tells them what to remember so they can spit it back out on the exam. My favorite teachers were the ones that WANTED us to disagree with them, so long as your arguments were respectful and coherent. State standardized testing for grade school kids has ruined that prospect.

@@hyacinthlynch843 it's not about the thoughts though. We all think things. The circular part is about pointing out the internal aspect of those thoughts vs the potential of offense. If I intend to interact with an individual it is an attempt at building a mental bridge to explore commonality. My issue is that I have a Lot of thoughts and I know that some of these are not meant for people. I don't care if they are offensive. But knowing that when I suggest you read 1984 may be misconstrued is a different point. Those are not my own thoughts and feelings yet, I understand enough about it to accept most of that story as being relevant.

I suggest you watch Peterson's now famous interview with Cathy Newman to get an understanding of were he is coming from.

@@richardkirk5098 There are universities that are not like this. However, they're usually christian universities but I don't think you have to actually be christian in some cases, and it's not like all of their classes are influenced by Christianity. Grand Canyon University is one example.

I'll take my a*le views and funny enough, I'm from europe, so I'm already somehow a leftist just by that statement. I'm for ecology, I'm for free healthcare, I'm for gun control (gun control, which doesn't mean no gun at all btw, just that you need to meet some requirements to be allowed to have one). i remember when i was in a very woke friend group i thought i was bi (im not) but somehow to conversation drifted toward me being straight and they told me they would ostracize me from the group if i was straight. and i think back on that sometimes as a straight person and it's so insane that they think they are superior just because they are gay or trans or whatever.
I am learning so much from this professor about how to handle this kind of conversations, stay rational and not emotional with the people who are are flat out aggressive. He completely removed his ego from this conversation and treated them with respect they didn't give him.
He should ask them, "If I identify as a woman, am I a woman?" They will say, "Yes." Then ask, "If I identify as black, am I black?" To that they'll say, "No." Finally ask, "What's the difference?"
The difference is they fully believe in and are highly focused on race, because they’re racists, but also believe that the concept of “gender”, is somehow a “social construct”. Then go on some rant about privilege, power, da huwhite maan, and their fee fees.

I agree. I was raised in the worst slums and homeless shelters in Houston. I constantly had lice and sores all over me and the clothes I wore to school were ill-fitting, outdated, and usually not really clean. I was bullied and mocked daily. I grew a thick skin. Well, part of the issue is that we should stop using the word "gender" inappropriately (as we immediately lose ground by this; because " 'gender' can mean whatever you want or don't want it to mean" ) and we should instead insist on using the word "sex" which is clearly based in biology. (Whereas "gender" can be referring to anything from body, to soul, to mind, to simply internal arbitrary perception or desire).
There is an excellent article by Stella Morabito @ the Federalist called: "Why You Should Stop Using The Word 'Gender' " (I'd post the link, but my post would likely be shadow-banned by YT when I do that).
