Beautiful in every way!!!! How can one not love a well prepared Baldwin Model L. It's the perfect home, studio, and small recital venue piano!!! I've got one. They are fabulous!!!
Baldwin is the most underrated piano out there. Most Baldwins that have been properly maintained are better than Steinway grands in my opinion. It is shame they are no longer made.
My model R from the early 80s needs a complete overhaul per my technician, but it would cost more than the actual value of the piano. It doesn’t help Baldwin is no longer in business.
Baldwin is still around and even if they weren’t parts are available. BTW, a mechanic told me one time that I needed an idler arm on my car. It was untrue and after 155K I had never replaced it. Too many piano techs generalize and opine out of arrogance. Lots of factors, mainly how and where a piano was kept.
Would the work cost a few thousand dollars? Yes. Would you get a good return on investment if you sold the piano? No. Would it play extremely well and sound lovely? Yes. To buy a Steinway and do the same work would cost more and get a greater return on investment but he upfront cost would be more. I have a Steinway but I long to buy a worn out Baldwin and refurbish it myself.
Wow love the Baldwin sound. Chunky sound.

Damn that was good
Lovely piano Robert, tremendous value, will make the next lucky owner very happy
Just saw you on the news at the Pantry!
Is that not the original Baldwin logo style on that fallboard?

Upper register doesn't sound tuned correctly... might be the recording equipment used.

Unisons don't seem to be holding very well.
