- Unfortunately CUPRA aren't bringing this to the UK! With the same 2.5L 5 pot and trick drivetrain from the new RS 3, this Formentor seems to have it all!

Totally agree we should be offered such an amazing beast but can’t agree that in LHD it would sell here and those daft enough to buy one would lose a packet come resale because of this fact. Much better to keep pushing Seat/Cupra to deliver us a RHD version.

Great video, well done. The surprising thing about not only this beautiful matte finish formentor, but all matte finished cars, is that once you get a scratch, the whole car needs respraying or wrapped, which is crazy in the modern technological world that we live in and the reason why so many people do not buy matte coloured cars.

I love my cupra formentor vz2 310, amazing car, I'm used to the infotainment system now, would have loved the 5 pot in it though!!!

This automobile is very underrated... looks and performance is consistently strong....
Brings a whole new meaning to drift mode as you discovered in the Born :-) Will be interesting to see how it compares to the RSQ3 and RS3 on normal roads, must be near impossible not to have fun in those conditions.
a german magazine tested the 0-100km/h to be quicker than in the RSQ3, but not as fast as the RS3. Don’t have the numbers now but it’s a proper car for a proper price. Not as good as RS3 but better than the RSQ3

A RHD version would sell really well here irrespective of price. Shame they don't change tack.
Need this in the UK! £55-60k no problem - looks and sounds the part and some practicality! Yes niche but lots of ‘smiles per mile’ - sort it out CUPRA!

its a limited amout on the VZ5 in sweden there will only by 200 cars. I think a total of 6000 is going to be built.

These seat are part of the CUP Edition/Pack for the Leon, atleast in Germany

It would be nice if they could put it in the Leon but Audi didn’t let VW use the 5pot in the golf R so doubt they will let Cupra use it in the Leon

Grab the VZ ... its in NZ so will be in Aus.. the VZ is a beast, and you can drop in an aftermarket chipset to get a little extra pep
They raffled the allocations coming to Finland, shame I didn`t win. The price point is epic, specced up to the same level this is over 20k cheaper than an RS3 and 30k cheaper than RSQ3.

If only we had this coming to the Australian market , definitely trade my bmw M for one as it's a heap more partical for emtb..
Formentor VZ will be in Aus... also you can chipset the VZ to get around 450nm .. so, you can do a lot with the model you do have.

Maybe Audi is concerned that this VZ5 will sell more (if priced right) than their RS Q3 let alone RS3..
I really wanne know the real 0-100 on the vz5. Mat did a 0-60mph in the vz3 in 4.2s and cupra claims 0-100 in 4.9.
So this one should be capable of doing it in sub 4 sec 3.9 is my guess.

Great shame that they haven’t converted it to RHD. However, for £50k plus it would be pushing the limits of a fragile new brand with a lot of infotainment//ACC issues.
Love your channel and videos but I just find the snow stuff boring, I live in scotland and we have snow but it’s just irrelevant. The Cupra brand is also just marketing rubbish, you can’t just add power and bronze badges and expect users to pay a premium. I’m sure it’s a lovely car, but the marketing these days is ridiculous and it’s not just this brand that is at it!

Absolute craziness not bringing this to one of the biggest hot car markets in the world. We love a weird, wonderful and expensive car!!! No point in LHD wouldn't sell.
So pissed seat won’t send it! Defo won’t buy a cupra now, won buy and Audi as the dealers think anyone who buys one is a mug
But why not just buy an RSQ3?
Because it doesn't have the same torque splitter trick setup and it costs about £10k more spec for spec.
@@JoeAchilles1 i do agree to a degree, i also prefer the styling of the Formentor and the interiors are really nice but they've started to get expensive. Before Covid you could get a 310 for under £35000 but now there £40+ so the VZ5 will be north of £50 if it came to the UK.
Think I would take my time and get a low milage GLC43 AMG for just over the £50.
Well no car is good idea in UK, as it is a hassle to make cars for people who cannot ride them on proper side of the road

The RS Q3 doesn't have the trick new torque splitter drivetrain.
No reason to sell in the UK with the RSQ3 been available.
Good point, totally forgot about that model. Although a similar spec RS Q3 would be close to £10k more expensive, it also doesn't have the truck chassis and drivetrain setup of the VZ5.

Ok you can't get this car with that great sounding 2.5L engine but the 2.0L engine can be tuned and can handle 400hp without too much trouble
Yes, but the vz5 looks so sexy though 😍. But you are correct. And you will save like 15k€ opting for a vz3. Put a stage 1 tune and you have the same performance.
I'm looking to trade my s60 t8 polestar for a vz3. This car looks great and is so practical.

Pulling out of a junction allowing the wheels to spin is not a skid. That is the definition of a drift. Locking the wheels up is what causes a skid hence kids doing it on their BMX 🙄 surely a driving knows that
