Dude, you’re a hero! I can do this now. A repair service wanted $400 to come out and do this. I’m like, oh hell to the no!!

Do you have any advice on what to do if the plastic screw hole broke off the back of the panel? It would’ve been an easy fix but there’s nowhere to put the screw now that the plastic is broken. I don’t want to replace the whole panel.

Kenmore 51833 There is a tiny spring attached to the Ice / Water lever that appears to just press against the panel to ensure the lever is pushed back into place. 1) Is that the function of this spring 2) Where is suppose to sit? 3) I am not sure if it is broken as I can not find a part number on any parts list, the appliance store was baffled. It seems it was a quick change with no documentation. Mine popped out it seems and the lever does not retract 100%. I think it just slides back into a small slot to put a small amount of pressure on the lever.

What was wrong with the lever? It looked just like the replacement part.
I have an LG LFX25991ST and have a similar problem where the ice will not dispense when you press the Ice cube panel. The flap seals properly, no issue there.
When I softly press the panel I can hear the switch click on/off but nothing happens.
Any ideas on what is causing the ice not to dispense?

If my dispenser is leaking, could it be a worn out switch?

I may have to buy the whole assembly on my LG, but with a stainless steel finish and metal putty knife I would be concerned with scratching the door. I would be cautious and put painters tao around the assembly or over the knife blade. Metal to metal yikes
