It's like... a haert beat..and it goes faster and faster and faster...and more and more passionate and then it stops and it fells like the hole world stops for a second like..when your in love
Inuit throat singing radiates a beautiful, otherworldly and indescribable vibe that I cant understand but love so much. They really are singing with the voices of their ancestors. They have the most unique folk music on the entire planet.

Most people listen with just thier ears but when I listen to throat singing I feel it in my soul and my heart. It's so beautiful that I always end up in tears.
I don't know why people look at this and think it funny or weird. I find it utterly unique and beautiful. Everytime I have seen Inuit Throat Singers they are embracing each other and they are working off of each other's rythm and energy. I am envious of Indigenous people who were able to hold onto their culture despite everything that was done to take it from them.
I am an Ojibwe indigenous from the plains and my sister and I were very lucky to be taught not only our culture but other indigenous cultures as well, we we taught throat singing at a young age. I miss it. Glad to see it being recognized also respected
Every time I hear throat singing it moves something in me and I can't help but burst into tears. Truly such a soulful art form. I hope their culture never loses it
This is more than a laughing exercise! This is a spiritual exercise. Just consider. While the women in Igloo were lonely and depressed and their husbands were hunting and had no other means of play except their larynx. They could have been ecstatic for hours with these amazing sounds. These sounds are not human. They are full of energy and beauty.
@@deborahsolinski9366if your of Inuit/innu descent i'm sure you have relatives that would know "somewhat" or know people who are also inuit that wouldn't mind teaching you, i'm only 3% cree lol, so i'm only guessing, sorry if this isn't helpful
I can imagine a mother comforting her baby in a cold winter storm. This is a breathing exercise too. I can think of many reason why they would've been hyperventilating musically
Wow congrats girls! There were magical few seconds when your beautiful throat singing blended in with the sounds of the fjord waters. I was transported spiritually. That felt good. Thanks!
I landed here because of a class I am taking. Had to look up Pangnirtung on a map and wow is it far north. I like the way these two women look like sisters.
I'm not an Inuk, or even Canadian, but I'd like to learn how to do katajjaq. I find it beautiful. I have Indigenous ancestors but sadly know little about their history.
Do not have laughter for something so serious. It's like saying "I love you" or 'live or die" Respect what you have known all the life you have lived and everythingfollows. '
This was a little odd mainly because I wasnt expecting it lol. It sounded like sex or something. But i guess that makes sense where its a love song. Not saying its bad or anything...just very..not what i was searching for. But definitely unique. Anyone know why they were holding each other like that? Or was it just because they love each other? Thanks! Just trying to learn something of what I just accidentally stumbled into.
They are not actually in love. They hold each other to feel the rhythm. Throat singing is also a competition between 2 women, it can be for a man or for something. Whoever laughs first loses. So it is a love song, but while it is possible they are in love, in Inuit culture it is just the way in which you throat sing but being very close to each other. Also usually a baby is tied to the back, so the vibrations from 2 people help it fell asleep.
Since this evolved from the women when the men were away hunting, my theory is many women would hookup with each other. Some got caught and made up a story that it was a song. Information says two women when the men were away.
Look at any thoat singing video and see how they physically share the rhythm between bodies it's dope af
Our sacral is connected to our throat, it’s amazing as fuck

It’s amazing, I start not being able to tell who is making which noises!
The one on the left is going: chi chi uhh uhh ahh ahh ohh
I know a lot of people mock and make fun of throat singing but it’s really a beautiful art that needs more respect and recognition
the only thing that helps those laughing people is psilocybe or alice
Agreed! I just wrote something v similar in another post
nope its still funny as hell
it sure looks goofy but after like 30 seconds of listening it looks awesome
I find throat singing fascinating. But you can't force people to like it.
I'm not indigenous myself, but since discovering throat singing I've fallen in love with it, it's so beautiful
This is way of singing is so soothing and calm and beautiful im crying
Makes me cry, i have tried all the videos and i always cry. I cant explain it.

This is so peaceful with the sounds of water in the back, I wish it was on a loop.
On a computer, you can right click on the video and a list of options pop up, the first one should be “loop” :)

awesome... so primal... love it!
Enchanting.
This is the first time I think I understand how the singers make the song. It’s like follow the leader.

With a little bit of instrument or none at all this would be good as bakground music for a silent backstory scene in a fantasy animation movie
This the song from Devs!

You can take the woman out of the tribe, you can not take the tribe out of the woman, this is fact.
Why when people are thoath singind they hold hands like this?
I read it helps them keep rhythm with each other, they rock to maintain a constantly speed and squeeze the others arm to speed up/slow down in unison
Anyone from DARK Netflix series 😂
Sounds like they are saying bow chick a wow wow
