It's incredible how much power and feeling can come from vocables. I'm indigenous from Mesopotamia (Iraq/Turkey), and I feel so much strength from this beautiful young woman. I hope to see more indigenous people rise up in future generations. Unfortunately, the supposedly civilized people were too ignorant to understand the value of protecting ancient heritage, and now we have to fight extra hard to exist.

We need your wisdom, your deep love, your feirce compassion, your incredible courage, your quiet, profound strength, the beauty of your wild spirit, your way of harmony. My sisters and mother's, grandmother's and daughters, I pray for you to rise. 🌺🌲🙏🌲🌺

Many native cultures in general saw women in a different way then majority of the world. "Life givers" are just as important or more important. Especially in my band of tribes in the PNW.
Women carried us, wealth followed our women, after bonds (marriage) the man went to her clan, she could leave him for being unfit, she retained all wealth and lodges, a 4th trimester in life is for the father to assume ALL infant responsibilities except nursing for 2 to 3 months. Skin to skin contact in a sling worn by dad, it's bonding time, searching for the correct name. Although many tribes could change their names if seen fit by actions or recognition.
In general, NO ONE could speak for anyone else, to include husband's and fathers. But some tribes did steal women and children. Not majority but some. Eventually they were given freedom though. Which is why many white people recovered by the US want to return. Could be stalkholm syndrome. Not sure.
But we have voices. Men stand beside us, not behind nor in front. Many were stoic and bowed to Noone, we generally never avert our eyes. When being introduced, we state who we are, where we came from, our fathers name and tribe, and our mothers name and tribe.
The issue in our particular situation in the PNW with MMIW is to seek help. Many in Law enforcement and us, are bound to our treaties and interpretation is different. We are sovereign, local police can not do much for anyone or anything on our lands. If a man assaults us off rez it's fine. But missing or murdered? Our severely underfunded rez police (if we have one) can't even force an interview of suspects off rez for investigating. Then...where do we hold them?? Feds are suppose to do more but they are not equipped enough to take every case. They, themselves complain about it. As does local officers. That's the problem.
There are only 2,300 or so of my tribe left. We are dying. We are disappearing, even with our men...there simply wasn't enough to be heard. I was one of THREE kids in our clan to NOT be sexually abused. Only 3.
It's not race, its laws and treaties. Our own people are victimizing us just as much as any race. It's not race. And we need your help or we will die. We will decay. Chief Seattle spoke of this time.

May I Please use your words as I call out for assistance, in June of this year I was "tagged for taking" and I was refused help by both 911 & non- emergency dispatch in Montana state off I-90. The men had 3 Natives captive already. I'm sure crooked police are involved. I'M READY TO FIGHT THIS WAR 💪 My brother was takin in 1988, he was 8 yrs old... so I know the horror of not knowing where your loved one is... ever again - for my dad - NEVER AGAIN!!! I'M READY TO WIN TERRIFYING BATTLES, I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE. I'M ALSO A DV SURVIVOR... RAPE SURVIVOR... AND I'VE SOBERED UP... I'M A WARRIOR NOW 😉 ☻️🫀🤺 NO MORE MMIP 😁

It's amazing how instantly I begin to cry when I hear indigenous people's songs/chants & drums. It's like something inside of me feels as if l am a part of these people and that is amazing to me when I read these comments and see that I am not the only one. By the way l am full blooded AZOREAN PORTUGUES and in my family l am the 1ST generation born in American. My parents came here from The Azores Islands The Island Of Terciera To Be Exact, They Came Here For A Better Opportunity To Find Work. So l Have No Native American Of Any Kind In My Blood So Other Than Beauty l Don't Know How or Why This Happens When I Hear This BUT I Love It Because It Clenses Me And Makes Me Feel Renewed And Uplifting.

If I was native, I would do EVERYTHING in my power to learn absolutely all that I could about my heritiage to preserve it in the face of genocide. In fact, every survivor of a nation or culture who has undergone genocide, like certain places and culture today are, I would consider myself a vessel that my culture can live through. Survivors of genocide are, in my humble opinion, the ones called upon to carry on the light. I felt some type of way when I heard the elder women joining in...I just wonder how special it must be for them to see a younger generation carrying on the songs they already know so well. So sweet and special.

Hello. I am also named Jane. I am the granddaughter to Cherokee Nation William Ross. Chief John Ross is our Trail of Tears Chief from Civil War times. I love my heritage as well I am half English descent and my great Aunt Mary Jane Ross ,N,A,S,A first female Engineer to Space Science. My family along my mother's side who was also named Mary Jane Ross has since passed but Always I remember her sweetness and loving arms as I left my home and tribe at age three. I have learned so much in life but most of all the remembrance that the Lord is our strength in times of sorrow and weakness. He is a mighty powerful giver to the universal energy and to mother earth . We always keep our faith of the mustard seed to remember where we come from and the purpose of our own individual lives brings honor , praise and glory to the one true God of our Universe. Not ever to be replaced or confused with any other God's. I have lived long and pray to live even longer most of all to see my family with my own children. I love so much but unfortunate to have met those within the world to be cold. Destructive of women and to that of our children that God protects with his own life . Peace be with you and enjoy the songs of the spirit for we will all go before God one day to speak of our times unto this earth. He is our judge and rightfully so. No doubts to be in our minds and no rights to ever question his love or concern for us. Let any man who does to seek the harm of others and to harm this great earth we all know to be God's Paradise. One day Will be restored to him and to us all. A learning lesson so many victims have fought and died for not even deserving of any harm. Cruelty or evil revenge. For it is the hate crimes and jealous envy of others own wickedness that only God is accordingly and rightfully going to judge. Us all. We are all sinners. True. There are so many worse of than those who have lost there lives. Let no man put us under to be the women who bring life to this world. God will honor and bless. Jesus saves.

Even though I’m mostly European, i know the women of Europe have had the some of the same issues. And today more and more women and children are in human trafficking rings.
