The more i listen to Brothers of a Feather , I enjoy the 🎶 music I think they did a Great Version of every song. Much Love and Respect to the. Brothers. Thank You Chris an Rich.
I grew up to listening to The Black Crowes because of my parents. Now I have my son jamming to them. My husband and I have this album and man is it kickass.
This is a long shot but....was there another popular cover version of this song? I can ALMOST hear it in my head. The voice is either higher or female. Any info. would be appreciated.
I'm an BC fan of the first hour but never have seen this. :-( Didn't know Chris can play guitar. Rare beautiful acoustic guitar sound! Rich has his own band now: Check out The Magpie Salute!
And Rich his solo albums are pretty great too. But where ya been? Chris can play acoustic guitar just fine. Check out "badlands here we come" or "Roan county banjo" on here. ( Chris Robinson's Brotherhood) With the late ,great, Neal Casal RIP.
It's a folk song from a songwriter who isn't American. If I have that wrong, please let me know. "Paint It Black" has Flamenco heavy influences, but it's still The Stones. There are only 12 notes.
John Martin circa 1970 Solid Air album - if you like this tune. Also, if you want to really see/hear a man fill the air with energy guitar, it is JM! He should be way more celebrated. These guys of course good, but no comparison; as I am sure you will instantly agree.
I heard alot seen to much cried so much never laughed enough yearned a time lost to much dreameď not well is there a heaven or hell.that I know it is like opium for the lot.the poor as the rich.Hope Those who get to take got a time that tthey got to forsake when soon this planet gets tumblin down nothing gets us no one finds us.will you see it then.:? blinded that you are.thatis it Karin
Not bad, but kind of pedestrian and generic. Check out the original by John Martyn to hear how this should ideally sound. It autobographical about Martyn returning to his family in Hastings, England after being on tour.
@MrMusicguyma My fave Martyn song but like this performance too though. There is a stunning version in the doc “Austin To Boston”(2012) as well. ua-cam.com/video/XEOPKpTyd4w/v-deo.html
Not a touch on John Martin who sang and played it by himself and sounded much MUCH better, this wrecks the song. Go listen to the original played live by John Martyn.
These men are so talented their dad is smiling up in heaven

This is a long shot but....was there another popular cover version of this song? I can ALMOST hear it in my head. The voice is either higher or female. Any info. would be appreciated.
