Who learned ASL from the cast?
@@Alexis-pi2ps I can't say for sure, but Kumail and Barry definitely learned their signs for the movie because they have scenes with Makkari/Lauren. So I'm just assuming that they learned a bit more than just what was necessary for the movie. I don't know about the other actors though (but I'm sure they did learn sth as well)
@@cosmic-ash Angelina did too! She helped come up with a way for Lauren to be cued for scenes when she wasn't facing anyone else, and I've seen her also use small bits of sign with Lauren in interviews too.
Don't get me wrong, I thought the actress was terrific in the role. But why would the writers have an "eternal" that is hearing impaired. I mean, it really doesn't make sense. They are special beings with special powers yet one of them has a very human impairment.
@@Timien her deafness protects her ears from the sonic boom she can create due to just how fast makkari can run. any hearing character that fast would actually probably go deaf when they tried it.

Most of the cast learnt some sign language so they could act with Lauren and even be able to ad-lib some lines if necessary.

They been friends for over 10 years. But I think it was mostly due to their characterization. Ikaris isn't the most fun Eternal in the film. I hope that if they bring him back in the sequel they can retool his character a bit more

Well, there wasn’t meant to be the best of chemistry in the film between them. Their whole relationship is meant to be strained, so it can explain why Ikaris chose Arishem over Sersei. The strained acting toward each other was completely deliberate
The moment you see Angelina's eyes you die they are so addicting. Kumail's was the best reaction indeed.

say what you want about this film but the cast did an amazing job at emotional scenes. In other Marvel films there aren't that many emotional moments to begin with and they only have like one serious character who would act out those things.

we’re definitely getting a sequel. there’s no way we’re not after how the movie ended and the post credits scene.
@@trevonte3723 I’m not sure :/ the movie didn’t do so well at the box office and they haven’t said anything about how the film has done since it was released on Disney+ … I hope it was a hit or close enough 😭 I can see them throwing in a side comment about what happened with Arishem in another movie (like if Sersi appears in Blade with Dane)

actually it was announced that the film had the biggest debut on disney + with 2 million streams within the first 5 days of it fa release on the streaming service.
@@trevonte3723 yeah that’s why I’m remaining cautiously optimistic. I’d love nothing more than for there to be a sequel but there’s unfortunately a lot of bad reviews, I can see them either doing a series or just putting the characters somewhere else. I’d love nothing more than a 2nd movie though
