- On this session both myself and Cliff headed down to the Wish Tower in Eastbourne to try catch a ray.
This video was originally filmed prior to the recent storms we had and before my ray video last week!
Still a fun session non the less, I hope you enjoy.

Bluey is Pacific Saury nataive to the North Atlantic, called bluey cause of its colouration. Cross between a mackerel and a garfish in appearance 👍
Try to defrost your baits before you use them. Mackerel is quite brittle when frozen but very tough when defrosted - as are most frozen baits. Also the scent trail is stronger once the blood starts to ooze. If the mack was fresh frozen it can be re-frozen more than once. Those sea slaters can catch fish! My mate has used them to catch Mullet.
Not caught rockling all Winter - RESULT 🙂 Don't make the baits TOO BIG - My 4lb (April) thornback only had a 2" mouth!

Most of my trips are spare of the moment so hard to defrost without them going smushy!!! Deffo smaller baits seem to be working atm although the dogfish constantly hoovering up everything!!!!
Hopefully the weather starts to pick up soon and the fishing improves, will be good to see you land a few Plaice. I personally prefer to pre prepare my Bluey before hand saves me a bit of fiddling around on the beach.
How do you find the air power? I'm thinking of upgrading my rods soon
Deffo need to get some day sessions in atm every weekend seems to blow up with high winds turning sea to chocolate! Love the airpower trying to restrain myself from getting a second one!
