Nice one Tim! I visited the distillery last month and I was the only one there so had a private tour and a massive tasting (I booked the cask drawing one). I really enjoyed trying this one (right after the 12 and the DE) as it was the first higher abv Glenkinchie I had. When the tasting was done though, this one left me wanting a bit as the other CS and single cask Glenkinchies were much much better! I think Glenkinchie is z really weird distillery in the sense that by design it should make heavy and meaty whiskies (descending lyne arms and wormtubs) but somehow manages a floral and lighter whisky. It's massively overlooked due to only putting out 12 and DE in most markets. They actually make tasty stuff if only they release at a higher abv with more integrity. Cheers mate for a great review yet again 🥃
Thanks! Love the off-season private tour… it’s a shame they’re making too much $ on blends to give us a proper release, since I agree they have something …
