1792 BiB is my new value floor, if it's not as good or better at $37 then I don't need it. I got 3 bottles stashed and I've drank 2 since I found them locally.
@@jxmccoy3981 I have the FP and I love it too, I think I paid $45 but I think 90-100 pf is my ideal range for stuff I just drink whenever. I have a FP store pick that is awesome.
I really liked my Beam House Batch when I opened it. Even my friends though it was one of the better bottles we had a the table at a share night. I had some the other night after having it open for about 4 months and it got super nutty. It's still good, but not as good as it was fresh popped.
I've never understood the love for Blue Run at the price they charge for it. I've tried several offerings from Blue Run. It's OK, but not for those prices.
They have offered $30 rebates on bottles now. Can't move em off shelves. Seelbachs even has a deal where you buy a certain Blue Run and they are throwing in a FREE Blue Run rye bottle with it. Still a pass! 😂
I was so disappointed with the Angels Envy Triple Oak when I did a tasting of it in Louisville during Bourbon & Beyond. Glad to hear you guys agree. I had high hopes for the product and it was severely lacking.
Got that Old Forester at the distillery last year and it was not $325 then. I like it but at $325 its a real hard bottle for me to jump on. Thanks for this vid. I often get more good info from things that people don't like, than the things they love.
I disagree with the Angel's Envy Triple Oak. I think it's quite good and like it better than their base bourbon. I found it for $58 so took a shot. Glad I did! I don't think I'll buy another at $75, but if I see a deal on it again, I'd grab another.
My buddy got the OF Pres choice on his tour for $220 and it's incredible. Not sure if it's the same batch as the one you have. This one was aged "10 summers". I'd put it up there just behind RRSR CNF as some of the best whisky I've had.
I would love to see a review from you guys of the new Wild Turkey 70th anniversary. Great value and great flavor! I like to sip it straight out of the bottle. I was also let down by the New Riff Single Malt but I still like it better than the 2024 Cellar aged! If you come across the New Riff sherry finished single malt you should pick it up. It is big good.
I skipped the GTG series the first time I saw it for retail because it looked gimmicky. Tried them at a bar and realized the rye is actually phenomenal. The wheater was also pretty decent. Bought the rye the next time I saw it and haven't regretted it in the slightest. Overall very surprised by a series that looked entirely like tater bait.
Some open thoughts. I agree on the Heaven Hill pricing. For the specialty product that it is, although mass-produced, shouldn't be more than $75. I think of other distilleries (mostly Scottish) that have done the same sort of project. There are costs involved in what they're doing, including the glass, but it's mostly in the supply chain and production. $100 is too much. This leads me to today's pricing structures in general. We will continue to see higher pricing for a while. Distilleries and wholesale alike are taking what they can get right now, especially given demand. Bottom line is, people are buying it. It will continue to be priced at what people are willing to pay. That being said, there is a glut of whiskey. It will shine it's head. Not only in young barrels but barrels coming of quite some age as well. All of the expansions and increases in production in the late 2000s and on is leading to the stocks the market has now. Couple this with calming demand and we should start to see prices start to calm as well (a bit), but excitingly, we should continue to see some awesome and well-aged releases.
My TW has a Chestnut Farms Single Barrel for $250. Most ridiculously priced thing I've ever seen. I'd pay for evey bottle in this video before that one.
It would be an interesting experiment to take that Heaven hill grain to glass trio and blend em together and see if it’ll make something better. Mix up the ratios to see which one is best. Only a $300 experiment right?
$250 for an 8yr bourbon? I got the 14yr summer single barrel for the same price like 3 years back. One of the best bourbons I've ever tasted. Corporate greed has no limit huh?
Love you guys but that take on the Wheat Grain to Grain is flat out wrong. That is a fantastic bottle. Please revisit because it'll smoke others in blinds.
What do you think about the mix of red, white, and blue corn like in Wood Hat All American? Been thinking of trying to find a bottle it’s not in my state so not sure if it’s worth it or not
I should have stuck with my initial hunch that the HH Grain to Glass options were a marketing gimmick. I heard a podcaster talk about the Wheated being the best, rye second, Bourbon meh. I bought the rye and thought it was meh.
Personally agree. I like the wheated a lot. The rye second. The bourbon is the worst of the bunch. They’re all decent, but the wheated is more complex even though it drinks calmer than its proof.
Suggestion…we get Kingdom and Junkies together for some blind challenges. Differences on Cellar Age and Infinite are extreme it seems. be fun to compare some things live and together!!
I miss a good bourbon and whiskey. I found out 4 years ago I have gluten allergies! 😢 Had health issues.my whole life and since I went Gfree I have never felt better! I am 52! No. I can't drink beer anymore either! It sucks! But I honestly feel better.
Gluten allergy shouldn’t preclude you from drinking distilled spirits unless they are finished in beer barrels or something like that as all gluten protein is removed during distillation.
If you drink AE Triple Oak as the first drink of the night...it will trash the flavor of anything you drink afterwards. Sucks...I had high hopes for this.
For a $300 or more bottle I think it's funny that Jim beam throws out a 10-year ride that is as good for over $200 less lol they know what they're doing
For years you guys have said, "I would pay $$$$$$$ for this, I would pay $$$$$$$$ for that. If this was $50 or $75 more I would still pay it". I watched and wondered, WHY? Why are you on the tube doing that? Well, that shit has come home to roost. I (and I am sure many others) feared this would happen. Here you are today, complaining about a problem to which you contributed. Had you remained sensible about your opinions on pricing throughout, you would have a solid leg to stand on when addressing the issue we see today.
Maybe some things are worth more money and maybe some things aren’t. This video is highlighting the bottles not worth the $. Also hard to rail on them for pricing considering they opened up a distillery pricing bottles under market value on similar style bottles because pricing has gotten out of control

So true about Total Wine and Chestnut Farms. They even offered me tasting of it. Guy said it was his go too. I passed on it.
The Bookers 24-3 was in north Chicago for $79 the other day. I love it
I really enjoy it. I hunted another bottle
1792 BiB is my new value floor, if it's not as good or better at $37 then I don't need it. I got 3 bottles stashed and I've drank 2 since I found them locally.
The 1792 bib store pick I have is my favorite in my cabinet under 50 right now. Bowman Brothers small batch being a close second
Couldn’t agree more
Have the Bib and full proof. Just opened the full proof and realized why everyone has been talking it up. Unfortunately I paid more than 40
Got word of a store in west Michigan that is going to do a 1792 BiB store pick soon. Not sure exactly when, but it sounds exciting
@@jxmccoy3981 I have the FP and I love it too, I think I paid $45 but I think 90-100 pf is my ideal range for stuff I just drink whenever. I have a FP store pick that is awesome.
It's amazing how many people disagree with your take on MMCA'24.
I really liked my Beam House Batch when I opened it. Even my friends though it was one of the better bottles we had a the table at a share night. I had some the other night after having it open for about 4 months and it got super nutty. It's still good, but not as good as it was fresh popped.
I feel everybody get hosed by Chestnut at least once. It's a whiskey right of passage.
I've never understood the love for Blue Run at the price they charge for it. I've tried several offerings from Blue Run. It's OK, but not for those prices.
It's all marketing. Put out some great products up front creat notoriety then swap out for dog shit.
But you need to keep going until you have all the different colored butterflies!
They have offered $30 rebates on bottles now. Can't move em off shelves.
Seelbachs even has a deal where you buy a certain Blue Run and they are throwing in a FREE Blue Run rye bottle with it.
Still a pass! 😂
Nike marketing guys start a distillery.
I got a presidents choice. I think it was #70 and it is my favorite whiskey I’ve had all year. Sooo good and it was 230 at the distillery.
Condolences, on your Chestnutting experience at TW
I would put most of those in my don’t buy category as well. Unfortunately, it’s mostly due to price.
Just ♻️ WTMK Triumph for KC 2001 LE B1 & ECBP C919. Love WT but couldn’t pass up two of my favorites. Love these videos - cheers fellas!
I love the "batch #1 is better" moment starting at 11:17 🤣
......Just love these guys! Another stellar video..Keep it up.
I was so disappointed with the Angels Envy Triple Oak when I did a tasting of it in Louisville during Bourbon & Beyond. Glad to hear you guys agree. I had high hopes for the product and it was severely lacking.

Disagree on the New Riff ASM. I think it's really solid, especially at the price point. Palates I suppose. Cheers!
Really love the new riff single malt, hoping to get this year's edition
Sad to hear you didn't like a New Riff. I understand it, but I like what they're about and enjoy most of their line.
I would love to see a review from you guys of the new Wild Turkey 70th anniversary. Great value and great flavor! I like to sip it straight out of the bottle. 🍻 love the channel
...the look on Sean's face when Dan said he knows a guy "like the back of his left hand" 🤔 12:40
The 2024 New Riff Single Malt was an improvement over previous year but not close to Westward, Cedar Ridge, or Old Line. Great list
I thought the grain to glass was good but I got them for $65
Got the New Riff Single Malt for 35 bucks on sale. Tastes a lot better at that price
Good video guys!
You guys need to try Town Branch Overproof Bourbon. It’s a phenomenal release. It’ll blow all these bourbons away
So glad I didn’t waste my money on the 3 HHGTG
I skipped the GTG series the first time I saw it for retail because it looked gimmicky. Tried them at a bar and realized the rye is actually phenomenal. The wheater was also pretty decent. Do the 70th bottle WT
I've never seen another channel even mention Blue Run
How is chivalry knight? I can't find any reviews on it. Good or just a good looking bottle.
Some open thoughts.

Oh no. I just bought an Angel's Envy Triple Oak. I haven't opened it yet
You guys should do Chestnut v Kirkland single barrel since they’re both collabs with 1792.
It would be an interesting experiment to take that Heaven hill grain to glass trio and blend em together and see if it’ll make something better. Mix up the ratios to see which one is best. Only a $300 experiment right?
Where can I get in on the bourbon junkies picks?
Ya’ll are trippin on that cellar aged 😋
Enough with the disappointments. Bring in the best buys. Cheers 🥃
Check our video from last week!
I like the HH Grain to Glass Rye and was looking for the others, but now I know I can actually just stick with the rye 👍
The wheated bourbon one is very good IMO. In my opinion it's worth the price so maybe go find a pour of it at a bar.
The wheated is the way.
$250 for an 8yr bourbon? I got the 14yr summer single barrel for the same price like 3 years back. One of the best bourbons I've ever tasted. Corporate greed has no limit huh?
Yeah total wine got me also! Lmao!
The bottle of New Riff I bought was soooooo bad I WILL NEVER BY ANOTHER BOTTLE OF ANYTHING OF NEW RIFF’s EVER!!!
I really like Kirkland BIB $30. 🥃 nobody ever listens but check out Johnny Drum from Willet
Love you guys but that take on the Wheat Grain to Grain is flat out wrong. That is a fantastic bottle. Please revisit because it'll smoke others in blinds.
Yea the heart & lost recipe are bangers
What do you think about the mix of red, white, and blue corn like in Wood Hat All American? Been thinking of trying to find a bottle it’s not in my state so not sure if it’s worth it or not
the cut off at the end lol
That PC had no chance when I showed up with RR15 at the same time lol
I was wondering if you'd review that Angels Envy Triple Oak as I recently got a bottle and really like it. Oh well, different tastes.
I agree with you. I enjoy it. I’ve spent more and got less! Haha at least it’s not a wish I hadn’t spent $65.
I should have stuck with my initial hunch that the HH Grain to Glass options were a marketing gimmick. I heard a podcaster talk about the Wheated being the best, rye second, Bourbon meh. I bought the rye and thought it was meh.

I think TWs Chesnut Market is spouses "buying something nice" for the other.
The fact that the Kirkland BiB is 20 and the exact same as that chestnut farms essentially… straight robbery
Blue Run High Rye is better than the Emerald. And it's cheaper
Suggestion…we get Kingdom and Junkies together for some blind challenges. Differences on Cellar Age and Infinite are extreme it seems. be fun to compare some things live and together!!
need a Chestnut Farms vs Kirkland video
Chestnut wins, both are a pass
Makers went the way of Heaven hill. The 17 year was solid the 20 and 18 weren't good.
just curious. I have heard different things on MM Lost recipe. Is it a MM release or just a Costco SB release
Wheated HH grain to glass is way overrated for sure. Just had a pour.
I miss a good bourbon and whiskey.
I found out 4 years ago I have gluten allergies! 😢
Had health issues.my whole life and since I went Gfree I have never felt better!
I am 52!
No. I can't drink beer anymore either!
It sucks! But I honestly feel better.
Gluten allergy shouldn’t preclude you from drinking distilled spirits unless they are finished in beer barrels or something like that as all gluten protein is removed during distillation.
Distilled Spirits are GF though, just the beer is a no go.
in my 50s found out I was gluten intolerant also, but bourbon and rye are fine.
100% Agave tequila! Also gluten free vodka available
I have a coworker who is GF and buys/drinks bourbon with reckless abandon. No issues.
If you drink AE Triple Oak as the first drink of the night...it will trash the flavor of anything you drink afterwards. Sucks...I had high hopes for this.
I have presidents choice b46 and I don’t love it. Hopin it’ll “open up”…..
Ya’ll are crazy. Cellar Aged 2024 better than 2023 and both better than Heart release although that’s great too and a relative bargain.
OGD114 >>> Every Bookers Batch
These adds below videos are freaking me out using my last name on a hoodie made me do a triple take.
Orphan Barrel is one reason I hate Diageo
I agree with all of these lol
So, inflation, diminishing returns, market demand, etc notwithstanding, is any bourbon 'worth' $300?
Blue Run's pricing is atrocious. Would never be interested in buying one
Hello
Bourbon prices have become insane. Before long I’ll be regulated to drinking white label Beam. Bleah
For a $300 or more bottle I think it's funny that Jim beam throws out a 10-year ride that is as good for over $200 less lol they know what they're doing
These would better if you guys weren’t drunk while taping
Think the distillers are putting a nail in a soft Bourbon market with these ass hole prices. I’m not buying it!
Why isn't Dickel on here!? Y'all be slippin!
🎉 happy birthday to me. October 11
To be fair, 1910 beats a lot of bottles twice its price 😂
TW’s MacFarlane Reserve 13 they sell for 99 is available for like 40 elsewhere in MN and id say it’s not a rebuy for me even at 40. Sorry not sorry
Just because they don’t like, doesn’t mean you won’t. And vice versa
Exactly. I thought the HH wheated was so damn good and easily worth $100
This is so damn important to understand
Misleading idiotic title. It should be the most overpriced bourbon
For years you guys have said, "I would pay $$$$$$$ for this, I would pay $$$$$$$$ for that. If this was $50 or $75 more I would still pay it". I watched and wondered, WHY? Bakers 13 is amazing tho
