I found you when I was looking for W204 videos years ago. Thanks for all your amazing informative videos! I think the Mercedes community is just much larger than the Foxbody one and there’s a lack of quality content besides what you, Flexx, and a couple minor channels made. So you filled a much needed and large niche. Thanks for all your hard work!

When I had my W204, I really enjoyed watching your videos and learning all the mods you have done. I now have a W205 and modded it allot but it was always good to see a UA-camr that loved their W204 but of course there is so much you can do to it to keep the content up. Yes Flexx is another person I follow who also has done some great videos on his car even now with his W205 version. Best off luck and thanks again.

WTF I am only now realizing you came back to UA-cam after your Merc tutorials. I saved them to a playlist and I still go back to them for certain projects on my C63 since it was pretty much the same set up for installing after market speakers and amp. And also sound dampening. It’s good to see that you did come back even though I’m not interested in the current content as I don’t own the fox body. I would however continue to watch if you ever did Merc vids again. This good bye video is literally the second video I started. I've never made a UA-cam vid and never will so I don't really know about what your talking about but I'm in my 40s too and know exactly what point you are making about finances and your future. For what it's worth. I'm sorry for what soured you off of something you at least seamed to enjoy creating. And I appreciate your help on the wire. I do not even know if it is worth you time. I blame myself for ignoring your first warning to check if radio has green cable. After successfully installing the camera and pull video cable all the way to radio (I even used fuse splitter), I realized that my radio is different. It is Hartman Kardon and there is no green Fakra cable. Later analyzing my mistakes I find out that my car has outdated firmware. Now I have nice looking useless camera in the back as a constant reminder to me that every small stuff is important. Any solutions? If not it is OK I can live without camera.

Raymond, I came to your channel to learn how to take off the door panel on my Mercedes 250. Of the several channels and videos I watched, your video was the most helpful. The second video of yours that I watched was your closing video. I had a similar experience with my Wow! History Channel, but I hit the wall a lot sooner than you did. My milestone was 100 subscribers, which I achieved in about a year. For some reason, I though that magical moment would open up the UA-cam world, but instead of being thrilled about it, I did the math and realized what a slog it was going to be until I got monetized. Since then, I've posted maybe two more videos, one or both of which were short form. Surprisingly, my channel is now up to 297 subscribers, all of it steady (but slow) growth from my old videos) -- it wasn't because of anything I did. Like you, I found creating and loading videos to be too time-consuming and the whole process became un-fun. I still enjoy watching the analytics for my channel, but I have not been motivated to create any more videos. Maybe one day.
Having said all that, I thank you for the two inspirational videos. I hope you are doing well, enjoying life, and working toward that day of freedom called retirement. I wish you well!

I'll definitely check out your channel. There are so many out there and it's great watching new content. While I do miss sharing important stuff with people, I'm enjoying the family time and catching up on my real job. Thanks for leaving a comment and sharing your channel, 100 is nothing to sneeze at some people can't even do that.

Hey man I want to start this saying Thank you!! I learned a lot tips from you with the C300 series 4 yrs time wow time flies, I also discovered Flexx because you with the same hobby and passion. I enjoyed Every detail & dedication, it make understandable and easy to follow every steps without fuck it up XD. but here is the "thing" remember you built this community as a Mercedes benz community. when you sold the c300 we were expecting another project car another like Mercedes, BMW, audi. I'm not saying you had to do it because we don't your financial situation but because that's the projection. Then out of nowhere you trying to add a Ford community into Benz community and you don't like the result and now you're quitting? is like "trying to grow a plant on top of a concrete". if you don't see the result that you are looking for "stop & think" and say uhm this is not working, let ask my audiences what kind of contend they wanna see, they want me to try. I know we all going through a difficult time with the pandemic, and financial situation and I don't know your situation that's why I respect your choice I wish you the best. Good luck brother, you will be missed!! * Remember we're a younger generation we love sport car, mod car :P

Safely say financially I have been very blessed I landed an amazing job when I was younger and I haven't looked back since. But as I'm getting older the one thing that I cannot buy no matter how much money I have is time. I agree if you 100%. I threw Ford into a Mercedes-Benz community I knew exactly what was going to happen but I just thought somewhere quite possibly it may work. Ultimately I have no one to blame but myself. It was a fun ride and I did talk to flex about other Mercedes-Benz vehicles that may be interesting for both of us to work on and the CLA came up as a top contender unfortunately the car market right now the pricing is stupid so neither one of us agreed to pursue that. Ultimately I had fun doing what I did.

Ray, Bro... I can understand why you're making your decision about ending UA-cam and that would be due to the amount of views you've been getting on your channel which dictates how much revenue you get which leads to how much time you put into making UA-cam videos which leads to your disappointment for this UA-cam endeavor. However, maybe you should reconsider just re-inventing your UA-cam channel in order to get your view numbers up? Meaning, go back to the basics of how and when and what you did when you first started your UA-cam channel? It worked before and it could work again.
What brought me to your channel was, in fact, due to that you were working on Mercedes cars because I have a Mercedes.
Although you could be tired and have a distain for German cars, these cars on UA-cam is what gets the most attention or a person's personal personality. (like ChrisFix, Tavarish and Tyler Hoovie).
But with that said, maybe you should consider just getting back in the swing of things with working on German cars again on your channel? Yes, there's a lot of time involved with editing and filming, BUT this is also why most of the other successful channels on UA-cam end up hiring people (like teens who need part time work) to do all the editing for them. In order to cut down on the time involvement with the making of UA-cam videos.
And with focusing back on German cars, you could possibly ramp back up your channel again?
Maybe start acquiring newer Mercedes cars, upgrade them, mod them, etc... Or Audi's or BMW's (like what Alex "Flexx" is doing). And then you can get your viewers back.
Point is, in the beginning of your journey with UA-cam, you had a very good start, but from what I viewed, (and I could be wrong) your channel went south when you got rid of your Mercedes C class AND when you started videoing all those gimmick items, like dashcams.
So going back to how you did things in the beginning could possibly help you change things around and get your analytics back up?
Just a little input and different perspective I wanted to point out to you for you to take into consideration and think about, is all!!

Thanks Bernie everything you said is true unfortunately at the end of the day it all comes down to time. I would love to continue making videos and hanging out with you guys but at the end of the day seems like you are correct and I can't force forward on a Mercedes-Benz community.

@@RaymondUrias Well Ray, never say never. Maybe you have the right idea, at this moment, where you just need some time to yourself and your family, to take a break, regroup and perhaps just take some time to really brainstorm on other ideas. Who knows, maybe down the line, you'll come up with some ideas where you may be able to create something more meaningful and enjoyable for yourself and perhaps get the youtube bug again and decide to give youtube another shot?
But in case I don't hear from you again, take care of yourself and family, stay safe and mindful of hopefully avoiding COVID (especially the DELTA variant) and I wish you all the luck.
BTW... not sure if you remember, but about 3 years ago you donated $50 to my GoFundMe account for when my father was in the hospital recovering from a stroke and I just wanted to say thank you again. Never forgot that and I really appreciated it! Thank you again!

@@nathanthebe6497 bro.... You can't be this sheltered. You must know this is a whole UA-cam thing. Every creator/ maker is having this done automatically. Just google "UA-cam removing likes".
