Damm, someone beat me to the first comment. Thanks for the video dude can't wait to see the future ones. The vinyl looks amazing. I used plasti dip but might redo it with vinyl. A project that id love to but I'm afraid of doing is blacking out the headlight housing unit.
J.L I lol, I have have learned my lesson on blacking out headlights (Never again, lol) I couldn't see sh## at night. Vinyl is really easy and looks great! Give it a try 😀

J.L that look sick!! BUT after reading the forums he said he lost ALOT of performance at night. The headlights are bad enough already lol. I'll take a pass on that.

for the record and when I had better income on 2008 I had my first MERCEDES and it was ML55 2005... yes AMG ... so if things get better I will definitely go for a bigger Engine :)
My car is w204 model 2007 exact shape of yours , my car comes with GPS , regarding the budget I think 50-100$ max for a camera & parking sensors.
I thought of changing the command center with one of Dynavin or Seicane that are set for C class but I wasn’t so sure about the quality and reliability of OS in those aftermarket devices, beside I thought why to pay more if I can spend less $ for getting Mobile mirroring and Parking camera which is going to be exactly the same thing for aftermarket command center - apart from the bigger screen-!
The other day I found this website with options for tuning chips claiming to give up to 30% increase in power to the engine , all that for a little less than $500 !

One other thing please , I am following a video of yours for how to change to HID lights , mine are normal yellow lights and I think I will go ahead and do the same as yours , but I am thinking to get the 55a instead of 35 for the extra illumination and I believe in France it is not big issue , however , I would like to have your advise if I can add to my OEM headlights a LED light strip without having issues with the Mercedes computer?

+Rami Banbouk Thanks man! Yes bigger engine is better but you get better mpg then me so that's a plus for you. I have found for cameras everyone has their preference, I personally love mine. It's been 1 year and it's still like the day I bought it. Really important to use a relay when wiring it up. I am in the process of installing/ reviewing an aftermarket screen, you will be seeing it on the channel probably late Feb/ early March. So stay tuned for that, it's the first of its kind...in it's size and Install. I'm not sold on thoes chips I prefer Renntech or eurocharged. 55w is bright! Like really bright. You may get pulled over so becareful...or at least point them down a little. Led strip? Where would this strip go?

Today I bought a second hand head unit DVD to replace mine because my DVD is not working , surprisingly and after installation everythings worked from the Console control Knob but the all buttons are inactive and there is no sound !
In your experience do you think the used command unit is damaged or it is because I didn’t pre-program it to my vin number via the star software?

+Rami Banbouk you have to check the back of the command system to make sure you have to port available. Also you can go to the engineering screen and see if it will allow you to activate it. The activation will trigger a black screen when going in reverse. I am familiar with thoes light and they will have no effect. The headlights come with a resistor pack for them. The unit should not need to be programmed unless it has navigation. I would check the connections make the quadlock is not on fully.

I have c220 and I would like to buy this camera but before I do I would like to take your advice for couple of things :
1- since the Video is old and you keep searching for better products, is there is any better camera out there?
2- this camera comes with the plug & play connector for Mercedes OEM media ? If not can you please advice me where to buy from ?
3-what do you think about adding Miracast or Mirabox for iPhone mirroring ? I was about to buy one but I thought of asking you your opinion before doing so , after all the great updates you did to your car I really wonder why you didn’t add such useful one , there must be a strong reason and that is why I would like to take your advice 😉
4- can you advice me where to get other upgrades like headrest media , performance tuning chips .. etc

1) There are always bigger better cameras. The question is what is in your budget? What features are a must have for you (ir, parking sensors)
2)No this camera does not. I need to know your year and if you have navigation.
3)I didn't bother putting in a Mira cast because I am going to upgrade my screen to a larger all in one system 10.25" to be exact.
4) Mercedes stuff I like to use eBay and www.mbscashopen.com. I don't know of any chips for our cars only tunes like Renntech and Eurocharged

Hi mate can you help me set up the camera in my car. It’s w204 2007 model. I did exactly the same wiring like you did. But my camera is operating.
One thing I would like the share is that, in my navigation panel there wasn’t any blue/green wiring which you unplugged. However there was a socket to insert it. Secondly when I am programming my camera, in the rear view camera option there are only two option coming up:
1) not installed
2) installed
There is and srvc option coming up.
Could you please help me the mystery ? I would be thankful
The part you're wrapping with the vinyl my chrome is peeling off a little . Going to wrap it . I guess I will have to peel all the chrome off.
+fitz phillips Sucks to hear that. I won't peel it off, first try wrapping it and apply a little heat it may help it stick back together

Is it possible for you give some rough measurements as to where you drilled? I put mine in a similar spot and the video is crooked
I know this is an old video for you but I have a factory backup camera that is absolute $hit. I want to replace it and am wondering if I can get away with just using the factory wiring that runs to it. Any experience there? I see a lot of full replacement videos for C300’s that don’t have factory cameras but zero for ones that do.
You can unplug it and disable the camera then install an after market system similar to what I did with he mini Cooper.

Raymond Urias, just bought the Back up camera with the Fakra cable. I have an 08 C300, if the firmware is an older version will I still be able to install the back up camera and use it even if I enable it in Engineering Mode? Thank you very much.

what should i do when my backup camera says " please check entire surroundings!" and I got a black screen can't see anything through the camera.
+Mohammed Alsaysaban video cable is not plugged in. Or camera doesn't have power. The good news is you have it programed correctly. Make sure you have the original farka cable unplugged and just the new one plugged in. Check your RCA it could have gotten disconnected and check power supply make sure unit is getting power. If everything is fine then you could need a capcitor on the power supply. Check out my video on noise/ no display
Just wondering how do you take the plastic bit off above the license plate where the lights sit? Been trying to take mine off but feels stuck.

Use a plastic spatula and use it to leverage it out if you don't have a trim body removal tool

So I bought the esky camera from the link on Amazon and I bought Fakra Connection from AliExpress, I did everything as per you 1st video ( install rare backup camera ) and I connect this , the sensor is working and it gives alarm sound that corresponds to distance ( very nice ), the Camera doesn’t work though!
I don’t know what or where is the catch but if the connection was bad I wouldn’t have the sensor working yes?
Please advice me if There is something I can do to check the camera because I am thinking maybe it is damaged, I even check the monitor and camera is there but I don’t have the three options ( NTC , PAL, etc
And when I put the gear to reverse nothing happen on the screen 🤷♂️
+Rami Banbouk did you program the screen to accept the incoming signal? Some subscribers found out that there commands firmware needs to be upgraded. What is your current firmware?

$chevyboi$ make sure your car has the plug behind the radio. Also you can program it now so that way you know it will work. The screen will be black but it will say check surroundings up top

Those look amazing. I meant did you simply remove the bulb because the new camera doesn't support a backup light the way the previous one you installed did? Also is that an issue when it comes to doing inspections or no?
stephen frank I removed the whole light unit (Bulbs and Plastic) The LEDs are an entire replacement kit (Never worry about taking the trunk apart to fix a bulb again) It brings the back of the car back to factory look with 2 new license plate lights and no camera sitting on them reducing the light output. As for the new camera it definitely will pass your inspection. 😀
Ok thanks Raymond. The reason i asked was because i didnt notice that you put the camera next to the backup light. I thought you were using the backup light location to install the camera. But at the look at it a few times and i realized you drilled a hole in the area next to it. So for the confusion.
stephen frank my bad, Sorry for my misunderstanding. I did originally install the camera in bulb. But this camera has to be drilled in. TOTALLY WORTH IT.
