    1:25 - best part of this scene. AJ gave Harry's badge to Truman that says "For All Mankind". Harry honoured Truman the badge for saving the entire world (as a NASA Director). - great timing with the soundtrack makes this scene much more powerful

      I whole-heartedly agree with that; considering that he described Stamper and his team as the biggest mistake in the history of NASA less than an hour ago in the movie, that statement was REALLY profound

      Agreed. Much better than I figured it would be when I sat down to watch it. Garfield was an awful spider-man, but his acting in that film was top notch. I really enjoyed it.

      the launching scene where he said "Mom that salesman is on TV" and the mom said "That man is not a salesman, that's your daddy" was also a wonderful scene and made reuniting better in the landing.

      +Cédric W Precisely; his marriage ended because he was a compulsive gambler who cared more about money than his family. By helping NASA, he proved to his ex-wife they were more important. After all, there's some marriages where people are poor and still happy, while others are "filthy rich" but miserable.

    I cry like a little bitch every time the son runs out to his surprising father! That shit hits me like a ton of bricks! 3 kids makes me thee happiest father on the planet, and to know my father never gave me the same happiness only makes me feel that much happier as a father that I'm not taking my kids through the same. But I forgive him.

      And they are very often. Bare in mind the characters are all linked cause of his sacrifice. It's almost unheard of for service personnel who were saved by an act of courage to NOT go to the dead person's family and pay their respects.

      It's the missing man formation, the jet peeling away represents those who didn't come back. Very appropriate.

      Liping Rahman They would have had plenty of time to arrange the flyover after detonation. Re-entry for a shuttle takes an hour, and they appeared to be still beyond low-earth orbit when Sharpe transmitted "Houston, we're coming home", which meant they needed to get much closer back to earth to even begin re-entry. As soon as NASA calculated when landing would be, the Air Force would then be able to determine when to take off to arrive at the right time.
