    I’m gonna be honest I’ve never fished lakes my whole life, never used more than a rooster tail and some corn on the river. I’m learning quite a bit from this channel.

    Great tip on bending the hook out a bit, makes total sense and addresses a hook-set issue with lots of jigs.

    another great video scott!! there will be no fishing for my girl and i for a cpl weeks. 2 nights ago someone broke into her jeep, while we were asleep, and took all of our fishing gear. her 2 push button rigs, my spinning combo and my baitcaster, my tacklebox, with approx $400 worth of bass lures, worms, hooks, weights, etc...everything!! they even took the net and 3 pairs of glasses. all priceless tp me, but atleast $700 worth of gear. i wouldnt wish that on anyone and i hope karma bites them in the rear for having done it to me. my next setup will be some okuma gear. i know u trust it and love it, so my question to u is...suggestion on a rod and baitcaster for 'general purpose' bass fishing?!? keep the videos coming, we all love them! have a Blessed night and keep reelin em in!

    I thought it was some mysterious new tactic🤷🏻‍♂️... but it’s just a refined Texas rig style of fishing... but ain’t that the case with everything in fishing these days👍.... but I will use the info in this video and give it a try

    Left out an important element, what rods are you using? (power-taper?)

    when is the best time to use a shaky head?

    • @1212cwillis
      @1212cwillis 9 років тому +2

      Year round. Best used around rocky areas or shell beds. If you've got heavy grass, it can be hard to work the bait through it.

    What is the difference between a shaky head rig and a Texas rig?

    • @lake2seafishing197
      @lake2seafishing197 9 років тому +1

      +SCUBAJAY316 texas rig is just the way you rig your bait. shakey head is the weight on the bait. in this video Scott has a weight on the head of the bait, that's what a shakey head is, however he has the bait set up as a texas rig. Hope that helps.

    • @lake2seafishing197
      @lake2seafishing197 9 років тому +1

      +SCUBAJAY316 oh by the way there are hooks that have a ball weight attach to them, those are shakey heads. And you can texas rig your bait on them.
