- We are Stepping away from music mashups this week and instead take a look at a very hilarious murder mystery movie from 1985 called Clue but it will be a bunch of youtubers who have never seen this classic before and will be watching it for the first time. I do love how Mr. Green not actually being gay was foreshadowed. When he revealed it on his own accord, Wadsworth looked at the papers in shock since that wasn't what was actually written down.

I like how the biggest twist for everyone wasn't that Wadsworth's summation was decently coherent, or the multiple endings! It was that in the last ending, Mr. Green *wasn't* gay!

it is still possible that he gay. he may had marry someone so no one suspect he is gay and said that line so his follow agent would believe that him being blackmail was all fiction.

this has been my favorite movie since I was 10 years old, I can quote it forwards and backwards and it makes me so happy that people are newly discovering it
Yeah I can also quote it almost flawlessly. I wish more movies today had the charm this had
First Ending: supported by some good evidence
Second Ending: quite a few plot holes, but kinda makes sense
Third Ending: "it makes no sense!"
Mr. Boddy was also a recurring character in the books. Yes. There were books. He kept being "killed" and coming back to life.

@@MixMatch53 Probably the most famous dialogue in the film - (the only improvised lines in the entire movie) Is during the last solution when Madeline Kahn as Mrs. White does her "Flames - on the side of my face...." bit. There are a number of gifs and videos showcasing it. Madeline was only instructed to say something indicating how much she hated Yvette.
Oooohh that's right. Yeah looking back editing this I was sad almost no one reacted to that part. So it isn't in the video unfortunately. Too bad really. It was well done.😔
Tim Curry corpsing and the confusion on everyone else's face was great. Glad the director kept it in.
I played Colonel Mustard in my high school's production of Clue for our fall play this year! Now the spring musical is coming up in April and auditions are tomorrow! Wish me luck! Actually, no, don't say good luck, break a leg if anything

I'm so old I remember seeing this with my sister in the theater. I remember loving it and we got the Scarlet ending! Years later Tim Curry would be in a movie called Oscar. It was another flop but I loved it and it gave off Clue vibes. The pacing and characters exhaustion throughout the films are great. Takes place in a huge house, with characters running around as well.
Such a fun film. I watch it every halloween. Very clever and hilarious. Really missing in current movies today.

Clue is one of those movies youc an watch over and over and over again and it never gets old. My sister and i watch this once or twice a year and we always crack up.
I know right? It's th ecomedy that ages like fine wine. I couldn't stop laughing when i was editing this at the time lol
Interesting to note that the floorpan of the first floor is the same as the board game playing board. The rooms are laid out in the same configuration, with the Hall in the middle. (The board game does not have a basement, second floor, or attic, of course.). And the secret passageways lead from one room to the other, same as the playing board indicates. They didn't have to design their set that way, but they chose to, and that's fun!

This is by far my favorite movie of all time!!! I can binge watch thhis movie until kingdom comes.
"Poison" is NOT one of the original weapons- so when someone suggests poison, that would not fit into the board game. So naturally, it was never in fact poison (one might say it was another "red herring"). In the extended "Clue: Master Detective" edition of the game, there are more rooms, more suspects, and more weapons- one of which is poison. But that version didn't come out until 1988, three years after this film was released.

5:25 I would’ve liked to have seen that ending. It would’ve been fun. One thing I don’t understand. In one of the endings, Wadsworth has a completely different “purpose” from the other two endings. But in that third ending, it doesn’t make sense, because he is essentially his own boss, while in the other two endings he’s working for a third party. If Wadsworth was his own boss, then who wrote the “Wadsworth, please begin (the meeting) in the Study, after dinner” note that he read to himself much earlier? This note only makes sense if Wadsworth is taking orders from someone else. Maybe they could have written another ending where Wadsworth is actually still working for Mr. Boddy, and the whole night’s happenings is just a trick by Mr. Boddy into extorting even more quick money from “the Guests,” this time they’re all trying to cover up for his “murder.” He faked his own death with the help of Wadsworth, then either killed off all his former employees (the cook, Yvette, the cop, etc.) or else their deaths were also faked. A security camera footage is shown to exist that depicts Scarlet, Mustard, White, Green, Peacock, and Plum all carrying corpses into the cellar, and a copy of this footage is sent to each of them after they leave and threatened to be sent to the police if they don’t come up with more money by such-and-such a date and time, where to send it, etc. They’d just be stuck in a purgatory, from which they will all become permanent suspects to murder, unless they keep finding ways to pay the “new” blackmailer.
Interesting. I loved I made this mashup. I get neat comments like this and gets me to think about the movie in different ways I haven't before.👍

Mrs White killing Yvette doesn't make sense. You can hear Mrs White screaming upstairs while Yvette is sneaking downstairs.
aaahh! that is a good point. maybe she dashed all the way to the library, but thats really flimsy. So yeah this is a pretty big plothole. Good eye my friend 👍
There are a lot of inconsistencies in this movie. But I still enjoy it
I feel like the only way it works is if Mrs. White was only screaming in the bedroom in the first scenario, but in the third scenario, it changes to her turning off the power and never screaming at all.
I also think she was pretending to be Miss Scarlett to lure Yvette, and that's why she screams "It's you!"
I did notice her re enter an area up there at one point.
One of my all-time favorite movies ever.
I have LOVED this movie ever since I was a child, and I will still LOVE this movie until I'm 6 feet under.
I also like how each ending is up to your own interpretation.
Also, I love Tim Curry.

In our high school version, I auditioned to be Miss Scarlet,
but everyone said I had to be Yvette, 'cause I had the massive cleavage for it,
(but I got to be the understudy for Miss Scarlet,)
& I got to wear a custom-made $500 maid costume,
which was identical to the movie ☺
Thats a cool experience! Too bad you didn't get to be Miss Scarlet, but you got the next best thing by looking like her as the understudy with the $500 dollar outfit like you said. 👍

“If I would just wait I would find out” that's pretty much what I want to say to all reaction channels, instead of constantly talking and and asking questions, you will find out…….i mean that is why you are watching a movie in the first place.
But doesn't asking questions mean they are engaging with the film? If they dont say anything we can't register what's going on. And honestly for the channels people didn't go there for complete silence.

Why would he lie to his boss? The joke is that he was happily married and was only pretending to be gay, it was part of his cover story.
