I agree with a lot you have to say especially about T-shirt Quilts. But you absolutely HAVE to watch How to Make an American Quilt. It is fabulous, respectful of the art of quilting and the art of Quilting Bees and camaraderie! The Parcs and Recs quilt would probably have been made by a team of quilters, don’t you think? What machine(s) do you use?

I will put it on my list to watch! ❤️And yes, the actual quilt from parks and rec had to have been a group effort I’m sure, I can’t imagine they had time for just one person to make it.
I personally use a Bernina and a Babylock depending on what I’m doing. My Babylock is easier for buttonholes but I prefer my bernina for piecing my quilts. Honestly I can’t remember off the top of my head which one of each I have bc it’s not something I look at but I’ll let you know when I am sewing next. I have a sleeping 2 month old on me right now so it makes it hard to want to go look. ☺️😉

@@KatchiVatchi I have too many machines! I started with a Necchi first machine I ever bought at age 17. Currently, I have a Babylock something or other that is 30 some years old, an old Bernina Recoed 830 (ebay) that needs some love, an older (1980s) Bernina embroidery machine that I got on eBay that I thought I couldn’t live without! And I just purchased a brand spanking new Juki TL18QVP QVP that I love! It’s a straight stitch workhorse! AND l.. no I’m not finished yet! Lol. I just won an ebay auction for a 1943 Singer Featherweight! If I can give you one word of advice going forward in your sewing career ... don’t be like me at age 69! I do not need all those machines!
I wish I had a newborn asleep on my chest! It’s cold here at -22°C Bbbrrrrrrr
