    This video is good and very helpful. Are you driving with a 1/2 ton or a 3/4 ton to tow your trailer? Congratulations on the 10k! That is quite an accomplishment!

    Your not alone on the review aspect! I send them out, some clients tell me they'll leave them and never do 🤷🏾‍♂️

      It's crazy. When I was a mover I always felt like it was such a hit or miss because we could be great and everything goes smooth, but the price sucked, management sucked, or something was wrong even if not our fault.. so I understood the unlikeliness of getting reviews. But as a small business where you're more one on one I always thought it would be way more likely. But it's still hit or miss

    Awesome! I just came across your channel. I’m starting a junk removal business soon in CA. Like you said insurance is expensive, but I’ve found that many other people use next insurance. Many says its very affordable. Congrats on the 10k!

    Awesome! Having a background as a professional mover really does help complete junk removal jobs much more efficiently. Plus you can do moving side work if there are no Junk removal jobs . Last month I did more junk jobs . This month I’m getting more calls for moving . I used to do a lot of deliveries of mechanical lift chairs to assisted living facilities from a chair store that recommended me and that led to lots of other work as well . Moving and Removals . The baby boomers are a huge demographic and are mostly retired so that’s a good market to market too for moving and junk Removal and delivery work . Yeah reviews are hard to get . Most people don’t bother to review in my area as well so far . I don’t pay anything for Google. Yep that’s what I do just upload pics on my sight . I wonder if video also helps . Websites do help a lot . Smart Marketing! Investing in your business is key . It’s the best investment in my opinion. Tools and maintenance

      Agreed! that was my whole mindset with going into the junk business, as far as moving goes, I'm already used to doing all this stuff, not to mention, depending on your crew, there's a good chance that as a crew leader, you're doing the bulk of the job yourself because the other guys are new..so take that and switch to junk where you only need to be careful getting out of the property..after that it doesn't matter.
      I still do move related side jobs but try to stick with people I know or referrals of them. otherwise I'll do quick single item deliveries (basically anything that can fit in my truck bed). I'd say for May- July, I probably did $4-6k in side jobs.

    My son and I and wanting to give this a whirl as a little side hustle right now. Would you mind sharing your rates? I have no idea where to start for charging. I only have a couple of removal places in my area and they are tough to get a hold of. Thanks

      It drastically depends on your location but you can check out junk removal authority. They have articles on their website for junk removal businesses about tips and advice/how to. They have an article for pricing that's nationally averaged. You can also do a faux estimate with your local Junk Removal company. Ask them to come out and give a quote for a pile of whatever. And ask for a copy of their rates Incase you have more in the future to get rid of. And then just don't call them lol. But I've done that in the past to get the rates for a few companies

    Junk Removal gets saturated more and more, and only makes it more difficult to retain employees. I’m in CA and have 4 employees and making 33k consistently and hardly break even monthly.

      It's rough for sure. Im not at that level but I know people who are and it's all the same. You're never really flowing in cash reserves because the bigger you get the higher your expenses are.

    I just started my junk removal in SD, CA. Bought myself a dump trailer 7x15 w 6ft high walls. All I have going on for me are websites and google ads. Are there any other ways you can offer to help find more jobs?

    • @clutterreductionjunkremoval
      @clutterreductionjunkremoval  2 роки тому

      That's a solid start to have the dump trailer right away. Nice cubic footage with those dimensions too! I would make sure your SEO is as good as you can get it without needing to pay. Update your Google Business Page frequently, Market yourself to apartment buildings in your area and try to get some vendor positions. Vendors are good because it can be more consistent work. Maybe invest in some yard signs and post them in busy areas (check your county code though to make sure you won't be fined) but put them near intersections or busy plazas. I get a decent amount of calls from those. I get mine from UZ Marketing. They're in Texas but do free shipping.

      I do. But it's still a shot in dark as to whether or not they do it. 32% of my clients have left reviews. I've heard to make an incentive, like before payment, as if they would do it and give them like $10 off their bill.

    Great information share video. You are helping new entrepreneurs in this space be successful without having them attempt to reinvent the wheel. If people just take your idea’s seriously I believe they will definitely be successful. As long as they have the right mindset and attitude. Also, I appreciate that you record vids with your vehicle parked unlike the other guys who record while driving. Makes no sense and it’s irresponsible. Good job 👍
