Here's how you create unlimited junk removal business. Make a list of ALL of the local funeral homes and visit each funeral home website, they usually have a list of every funeral they are associated with, and the list is updated daily. Most obituaries have a local home address of the person who has passed away. Send that address junk removal advertising every two weeks for 3 months. DO NOT mention anything about someone passing away, it's a VERY sensitive subject. The point here is, that everyone in this world has material things that other people don't want, clothes, furniture, etc... If the person who passed away was in a hospice center, send them the same junk removal advertising mail, it might create long-term business for decades.
@@Nova-m8d good idea! We’ve done with that with foreclosure homes since you can just look on county website, public info. Just send them a mailer with a coupon for JR
Hello, where do you find clients or orders? do you use apps or how
What are you referring to exactly? Like invoices?
I believe that some folks are slow right now and it's uncertainty by the paying customer. Also this coming election in November if the right candidate wins, Business will be booming. The stock market going down because of poor job numbers is another clue that people are holding their money.
Yea if there's one thing we can't do, is control the economy. Which is why it's good to take what you can to keep up to par
A lot of Moving jobs also become junk removal and visa versa . I also secured a long term Yard Maintenance job from a Delivery job . If I was a handyman I would have gotten a ton of work from Moving and removal jobs . I used to have a buddy. I referred all the remodeling handyman work . I’ve also done gutter cleaning . Window cleaning and painting and fence repair .and I’ve also got house cleaning jobs and Assembly jobs . As an independent service provider you have more flexibility to do all these other side jobs . A lot of Great points ! I’ve gone a month without any jobs and just did DoorDash and Ubereats .
@@GoodAttitudesServices sounds like a jack of all trades! Nice job connecting those services! I’ve definitely picked up some routine work on random side jobs that weren’t meant to be anything special
@@clutterreductionjunkremoval like you said Junk Removal jobs are priority. In my opinion, Junk Removal is the the most lucrative service because of its flat rate pricing and low overhead. At least in my experience . So to keep those windows of time open for those junk Removal opportunities is imperative.
Agree 100%
Great video
Thanks!
I’m in Tampa everything you said is 100% true being another junk guy in the industry
Tampa is a nice area. You probably have all the same franchises near by that I do. How long have you been in business?
Brother from intact junk removal hes 30 min north of you and hes also slow
@@Titan_Junk_Removal352 I’ve heard of it. We are keeping pretty steady but I’ll see our waves of a few days where there’s not much going on.
In your area, did you need another license to do moving and deliveries ? Or are these included under your “clutter reduction “ name ? Up here they include a resellers license under “ junk removal “. They assume everyone is a reseller . Have you thought about doing reselling on liquidation pallets ? There’s a scrapper up here in Calgary that has a YT channel “thubprint “. Lots of folks leave metal in their back alleys . It will usually disappear under 2 days time . Now the city does 2 bulk pick up days per year . One in the spring, one in the fall . 😮
@@SHERRY0010 not in Florida. Some states are strict about stuff like that. I don’t run deliveries and moving through the business and don’t tell people that it is either. Make sure they know there’s no coverage for their items, that I’m not a moving company.
Why are there maggots on everything?
@@mixedberries4937 food left everywhere was the main thing.
We have been doing home stabilization work for clients of the social services. Have encountered the absolute worst of the worst environments. 100-300cyd cleanouts with German roaches on every piece of debris. Horror.

@@clutterreductionjunkremoval I’m in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I have a full time job and do junk removal has a side hustle for now. I really need to go back and watch some of your videos on how you price your junk removals. My first few jobs have been minimal profit.
@@matthewchambers2329 pricing is important but also keeping your expenses low. Donate or resell what you get to avoid the dump/offset costs, scrap metal, etc.. make use of each job marketing wise. Ask for a review, put some marketing material out nearby, etc. what size vehicle do you use?
Nice video man 👍🏻. I definitely agree this season is for sure slower then usual. I know a lot of junk removal companies feeling it. I always do Facebook marketplace resale during my slow peaks to counter the slow periods.
We've been pretty steady overall month by month but I'll definitely get some "days off in a row" lol

Auto commercial insurance is too expensive for junk removal business, I am trying to get Auto commercial insurance for my 2022 ford e350 cutaway box truck and they asking me 27K a year to insure my truck, that is crazy!
@@juanmontenegro2025 did you say you do other services? The box truck probably draws in more of a cost just based on the type of vehicle but 27 sounds way to high, even for a moving company. What company did you get a quote from? I’d double check the details you entered
You have been alot of help. We take as many things apart as we can.
@@workingwithadam thanks! It makes things easier for sure
You mentioned that you don't really use a price list. Why is that?
@@thekingsempire because it restricts you from adjusting your price per job without it looking itemized. Between volume, time, and surcharges for something like long walks, stairs, high rises, etc.. to each their own though
@clutterreductionjunkremoval I like what you are describing and understand the reasoning. How does it work though... how do you arrive at a quote and do customers push back because they know other junk removal companies do have price lists?
@@thekingsempire well a price list doesn’t mean much. You can have a price list and still have surcharges and it’ll all add up to the same. I’m not going to a job I know will be 1/2 a load that’s usually $350 and looking around and thinking, “eh, I think it’ll charge $390 for this load specifically just because “. If there’s a charge then it’s listed as such. Many franchises will charge extra fees for stairs, high rise buildings, debris, long walks, etc.. or heavy items like concrete/marble pieces, speciality items like pianos, etc.. price sheet or not, it’ll all be charged. I guess there can be some peace of mind knowing there’s set charges, but I don’t think a price sheet limits that specifically. When I send someone their paid invoice. It includes descriptions of their load pricing and any surcharges. I’m not just pulling a number out of my ass and saying “here you go”
I run a 14ft box truck baby paid for cash. You can fit a shit ton and unloading it by hand aint shit.
Nice! That was my original plan was a used 15' uhual. People thinking anything but a dump trailer isn't efficient but I think its easier than lifting and loading into the dump. Box trucks are nice too, keep all your stuff out of the rain!
When you're doing hoarder after hoarder cleanout for property preservation, realtors and the social services that set up would make me suicidal. The full home hoarders with a ton of small shit would be ludicrous to unload in the summer from a box truck. Dump functionality is a requirement for high throughput debris removal.
@@clutterreductionjunkremovalFor very large high paying cleanouts dump functionality is superior there is no question about it. Small little pick ups and furniture are one thing but the small, dense debris are a killer to hand unload labor and time wise, especially if the job is a 10 load job. I'll leave my crew onsite to prep items outside and bag before I return to load.
@@mixedberries4937 can definitely be beneficial. I guess it depends on how you load too. I know most people don’t bag up stuff in the first place when they have dump trailers, they just load a can and toss it in and repeat. So I could see that saving time. But I’m not spending more than 10 minutes to fully offload a loaded trailer of bags/miscellaneous/furniture, etc. 17-20 cubic yards isn’t an issue unless it’s debris. I think the biggest time killer throughout the whole process is the trips to the truck. How long is each trip taking and how efficient can you be. I can bag up 12 bags of stuff and run one trip with my speed pack vs loading 1 trash can and hand trucking it out to dump. I’ve pulled up next to guys at my dump at the same time they get out and by the time they open their doors, lift the bed, drive forward a few times, lower and close up, I’m done at the same time unloading lol. More effort sure but time wise not a big difference.

4 wheel Dollys are great ! But make sure you have really good casters
This is a key detail for sure! The cheap ones with little plastic wheels are ok for residential use in garage, but won't get far with uneven grounds and small cracks. I say 3-4" rubber is ideal

Not sure exactly what you’re referring to. I started to talk about vendor positions. A vendor is a go to service. So if I became a vendor for an apartment building, I’d be first to be used for their needs + first to be recommended to any residents that ask. You can ask places about that.
