Even if you’re 4yrs out from your degree at least you know what you should be shooting for.

Hey, buddy! How are you? To become an officer you necessarily need to be a US citizen. Even if you get your Green Card you'll need to wait at least five years to get your citizenship. If you marry an American, this period will be compressed to three years. Anyway, hope I've helped you. Good luck!
You can join as a permanent resident. After bootcamp you will obtain citizenship. Speak to a recruiter near your zip code. They will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

The military isn’t supposed to be a career path. Nor is it supposed to offer fringe benefits like free college, free housing, and free health insurance. It’s incredible how much money the military spends on each pair of boots. All that needs to end. Eventually, the cost of a soldier needs to be brought down to $30,000 a year; all inclusive. The military isn’t supposed to provide pensions, disability, or a private hospital system. Just a four-year one-page service contract. After that, it’s time to find a job. And remember: it’s a volunteer army, so anyone who signs-up knows that he’s taking a chance. That’s life.
