    I've come back again to say this truly works. I moisturised with heat during my last wash day, just had the easiest wash day with minimal shedding, minimal SSKs and my hair was super soft and so easy to detangle. I could have gone another week without moisturising with no issues (but we don't do that here anymore 😅)
    Thanks girl, you've cracked the code 💛🌻

      Yes that’s how my behaves now as well. I started this journey the same time Coilydiaries either started or introduced this method to us. My hair is never dry, my wash days are easier because my hair just flows apart when I’m redoing my mini braids. This method works and has helped me to retain more length than I ever have. I am so thankful for this genius method. You have saved the natural hair community, especially type 4 hair. You’re appreciated ❤❤❤❤❤

    I've finally understood the process 🎉. So this for me is the beginning of my mastering moisturizing & length retention challenge together as one😊. I slowly collected all the necessary products I will be using. I have 4c high density hair with lots of grey which is at shoulder length, & wanna see if within 1 year I can get to bra strap length (menopausal hormone issues aside 😅). Got my vegetable glycerin, made my ACV rinse, DIY scalp oil with essential oils, and got my castor oil. (even the double-side steam shower cap you recommended). My goal is to get to the point of washing every 3 weeks (coming from 2 wks), with no scalp issues. Doing it all with mini to midi twists, and dry detangling with no combs/brushes. Just ease & self-care. Thank you for all the videos & demonstrations 🌞

    Ph bslanced Rosewater glycerin spray, growth oil for the scalp, chebe leave in conditioner, body heat to hydrate castor oil to seal the hydration then acv green tea low ph spritz to seal cuticle.

    This routine is a game-changer even for low porosity hair with a few adjustments. Reminds me of Naturally Nica's routine and I think she uses aloe vera juice at the end to seal the cuticles. Aloe can be an alternative for anyone who is sensitive to acv being left in the hair i.e finer hair etc. Your hair is beautiful!

    😮 i've been saying & saying for a while, why do videos that i see keep saying to spray your hair with water!¿! 😮 Why don't they know that tap water has chlorine, floride & has been drank (by 20 other people) & reprocessed with various chemicals! 🤮 Finally, someone else (you) got the memo! Yaaay!!! 💃🏽🙌🏽🤸🏽‍♂️ This was just common sense to me & i'm so thankful to you for sharing what else i can use instead of water. i've tried aloe, alkaline water & AC Vinegar water but didn't have any idea about the ratio's or frequency. 🤷🏽‍♂️ This video is a refreshing wealth of information for me! I wish I could do this but DIYs and raw oil irritate my scalp and I have to shampoo weekly. I agree with not using tap water. Tap water is full of chemicals and minerals that will dry out my hair. I spray my hair every day with a moisturizing hair mist such as the AS I AM Jamaican Black Castor Oil Water or KeraCare Curlessence Moisturizing Coco Water. I don't seal my hair because I apply moisture daily. I view it as self care just like brushing my teeth and washing my face.

    4B IS USUALLY LOW POROSITY. I have had many licensed stylist tell me and I have legit 4c and it's low porosity. Beautiful! When hair is long it's easy to do that. You also don't have super thick 4c hair in which product gets trapped in hair.

    Finally ! After over a decade, someone has finally said it. Water from the tap does not moisturise your hair. It actually dries it out. That is why your have to put all of the product on it after you spray it down with water. And water does not stop breakage, it causes more shrinkage, so there is no benefit to spraying your hair with water. A light bergamot will serve you better, finger detangle and very wide tooth comb. I was taking care of my natural 4C hair from childhood, and I am amazed at the nonsense people are doing with water and a bunch of expensive useless products.

    Hello, I make use of hair butter after my humectant spray, leave-in and light weight oil on my hair . Can I still make use of avc spray or I have to use castor oil to seal in order to use the avc spray.
    Lastly do you think I castor oil is way better than using a butter. Thanks.

    • @CoilyDiaries
      @CoilyDiaries  10 місяців тому +1

      you can still use ACV regardless but probably not as effective since the butter will really cover the hair. castor better than Shea? not necessarily it depends with the routine and how you are using it. both great sealants and I love them both! castor is just easier to wash and remoisturise 🌺

    I’m confused. I thought high porosity hair has raised cuticles so does not need heat for moisture to enter. Heat is used to aide low porosity hair, no?

    • @CoilyDiaries
      @CoilyDiaries  11 місяців тому

      All hair benefits from moisturising with heat. Two weeks post wash means your cuticle is weighed down with creams and oils so heat will help lift the previously sealed cuticle.
      Heat aids in making products more liquid so they sip through the hair better. Hope this clears the air for you 🌺

    I'm not sure why anyone would come for you. It's working for you and that is what matters. We all have to find what is best for our hair. For me and my hair, that method is a no-go but that doesn't make it less effective for you or anyone else that it works for.
    The Mielle Hair milk, or Camille Rose hair milk over a light leave-in is all I use if I'm not wearing a WnG. If I'm wearing a WnG then I use a leave-in and a foam or humectant gel. Since I shampoo my scalp every 3 - 4 days I wear my hair in a WnG much of the time otherwise I moisturise do a few twists and pin it up. I do not feel it is necessary to shampoo as frequently as I do. It is necessary for me currently. However previous to being diagnosed with CCCA, I shampooed weekly. It took me 6 years to get to TBL, and I am not trying to lose my hair to this stupid scalp disorder!
