- The Cold Steel Nightfall Magnum Tanto IX has a 9" blade and is 14.6" overall.
It's made from premium CPM 3V steel, which is harder & has more wear resistance than both D2 & A2 Steel.
It comes with a sheath that holds so firmly that it cannot be removed using both hands, unless removed a specific way. This allows you to carry it inverted for a lightning quick draw!
(when I bought it I saw in the reviews that some guy was using a hammer to get it out of its sheath & couldn't figure out how to draw it 😂)
I have one of the original 1980s Cold Steel Tantos, when they came with leather sheaths. Best knife in my collection and quality leather.
Very nice blades, especially with the flat grind!
So sharp! This is one of my favorite knives in my collection.
@@goyoelburro I have two warcraft tanto's. They are brilliant, fit my hand perfectly. And again, so sharp. When they do these tanto knives in flat ground bevels they are far better. With these the G10 scales don't get marked up. The Tai-Pan is wicked. Again flat.grind! I have the Black out versions, want the Tai-Pan with no DLC coating. Thanks for showing yours, great looking blade. Great tip, which you can continuously reprofile if you have to. Cannot do that on the hollow grind version.😊

🇺🇲 I remember when cold steel first started out I still have a few of their original recon Tonto's.
All they were was a sandblasted version of a regular tanto blade.

In the future, when I get the time & energy, I will do longer videos, talking about the different bladed weapons available (machetes, axes, shorswords, knives, etc) and what works where (home, street, car, etc.) to KEEP MY FRIENDS AND COMRADES SAFE!!!
Ultimately that is the idea of this series of videos. To give you the means to stand against ANY threat!
And I have a MASSIVE collection of bladed weapons (250, 300, More?), I've lost count...

Did you know that the tanto tip was carried during peace times so not to offend hosts or the locals.
During war or battles the tip got changed back to its original design.
