I love that your runs go more for oddity than simplicity, weapon restricted runs are fun, but seeing your runs that are a showcase of multiple bits of gear are a bit more entertaining due to always changing
I agree, too many “challenge” runs are restricted to one weapon/type (“can you beat x game with y weapon”). A run like this is varied with many different types of weapons so the run never settles into a single strategy for every boss
This is a really dope concept, I tried brainstorming a colour-related concept a while ago but never really managed to come up with something coherent. Also, great vid as always
While I admit, killing Midra with the scorpion dagger is quite the flex, there's a lot more orange weapons and armor in this game than you gave it credit for: the Crucible sets, Ordovis's sword, Devonia's hammer, and the serpent god curved sword.
Yeah, you're right! They have a rusty color that does look orange enough, plus the gargoyle weapons could have worked since they do have some orange-ish corpse wax on them
It might be silly but Dryleaf Dane's hat is my favorite headpiece in the game. I like how rugged it looks instead of being a brand new hat, and the tilted forward way he wears it reminds me of the Gaucho hats my family members wear sometimes (part of my family, including my Abuela, are Argentinian).
Nice, I've always thought, in specific because Green is such an underutilised particle colour in these games a lot, that something Green would be a challenge, and here is, behold, a colour code challenge!
before I even watch the video, this has to be the sickest idea for a challenge run and I will absolutely be going through all the games like this. Love your shit, keep it up
I just remember, there is a french artists called Sophie Calle, whom challenge herself to use only objects which matches colour, foods, clothes, maybe it was fun just like this
This is a super cool concept and run! It’s cool to see challenge runs in souls that aren’t just using no armor or no leveling or whatever but unique concepts
I love your channel, and I will be back for this video! But I still haven't finished the dlc (character got deleted by freak accident :( ) so once I'm through it I'll be back to finish this vid.
What a fun video! Your pun game is on point and some of your fashion pairings are surprisingly clean. This is also such a clever and unique idea for a challenge run! I love your videos that come up with interesting gear limitations like this or your material swapping one. It makes me wonder about other different ways you can riff on that, like maybe different zones with the different types of fire? There's a whole bunch with regular, blackflame, frenzied flame, giant's flame, Mesmer's flame, bloodflame, magma, ghost flame, etc.
For other purple armor pieces in the game, the Fingerprint Set dropped by Vyke is all purple. And the Raging Wolf chestpiece is slightly purple-ish if I remember.
I accidentally removed your reply, but to answer your question I think I'm gonna do another Elden Ring video next since I haven't played this game on the channel before now
I haven't finished Elden Ring yet, and I wanted to play this game for years before I had a compatible computer, but I know i'm gonna like this video so i'm giving my like now
I think doing another weapon materials run might be interesting in ER since the DLC came out, could probably use the same rules here with dungeon and other "smaller" bosses being exempt from the one-off weapon rule since theres so many of them But always love to see another upload from Eleum Loyce!!!!! I cant even begin to imagine how much work goes into one of these vids
YOOO, I've been wondering when someone would do a run like this. I did a "blue, da boo de" run ages ago and wondered how viable other colors would be Thank you for finally answering that question for me
this rules. I've never seen anything like it. the way you do challenge runs is so creative and your attitude towards the souls games is super refreshing - you approach them with curiosity, interest to explore, & thoughtful problem-solving, which to me are some of the core aspects of the series. really glad I subscribed :^)
I really appreciate that! I agree with your sentiment as well, these games are about so much more than just being "hard games"! I like to show that anyone can beat these games even if you aren't the most skilled player.
@@eleumloycee also, dying to the wolf is so real. we all have that one boss we should be fine with on paper but get destroyed by every time (I died more times to living failures than any other boss in the bloodborne DLC.......)
Fun fact about jori the inquisitor, you can chain backstab them to death. You might opt to not trivialize it either way, but for melee weapons it is an option for future challenge runs. Also, nice to know someone else spammed Gideon to death like that. I did it with Mimic, who actually let me completely stunlock him by timing the weapon art shockingly well.
Another masterpiece. Idea: Beating [Game] by only using weapons/spells for each area that start with the same letter as that area (or perhaps the boss).
Just started watching, and from the title alone this might be the most interesting Elden Ring content I've seen at all, great job, sure to be fantastic like most your other vids.
@@eleumloycee Aye you're welcome, I kinda watch a lot of darksouls tubers and ngl don't think I've seen any try this, it's mostly X weapon type only or no damage, fairly normal.. You always come up with the more interesting challenges though, you got good imagination, the material type vids was amazing and I might have to try em myself on darksouls 2 later lol
Regarding the lizard greatsword: the projectile inflicts status buildup at the same rate as the R2 swing, so you can use frost/blood/poison infusion and try to land sweet spot hits where both the sword and projectile hit, doing double status buildup
How do you come up with these ideas? Usually I don't prefer watching these kind of longer videos but your content is always banger. Been binge watching them for the last couple of days.
Thanks for the video, you're kinda cracked tbh. I was hoping to see the gravity bolt and frozen lightning blade weapon arts but alas. Either way the commitment is bonkers, ER is a huge game. BTW, do you think you'll do a DS2 impersonator/doppelganger run at some point?
I believe in the DLC launch patch, some weapons did get a moveset speed increase, i recall hamners and flails but I think axes were in there too, so I think you're right in that the axe feels a lot faster now; I think it was patched faster.
Leave it to you to come up with the most creative challenges, really enjoy the way your runs add creativity without the need for insanely hardcore rules
I always change into cold weather gear for the Snowfields so I think I'll give this challenge a try sometime. I might not necessarily do colors so much as wearing gear practical to each region (like face coverings to reduce rot exposure in Caelid) though.
awesome video, love your stuff. Have you considered doing some of fromsofts other games ? like kings field and evergrace? the forefathers of their souls era lol
I can’t believe you didn’t swap the hatchet and needle lmao, the aoe weapon on the speedy single guy and the speedy thrust sword on the mob boss. otherwise great video and I enjoyed the irony anyhow
Interesting run. Here's some things I noticed >> Has issue with Red Wolf >> Doesn't have it on screen 50% of the time despite lock on existing >> Spamming R1 without going back too neutral >> Wonders why game wouldn't let a riposte happen
I love that your runs go more for oddity than simplicity, weapon restricted runs are fun, but seeing your runs that are a showcase of multiple bits of gear are a bit more entertaining due to always changing

you have done a true kindness in not showing the spiderscorpions.... creatures from hell...

Oml this is so fun, I always love doing monochromatic designs for my characters so this would be a fun challange run to try
I was NOT expecting the dlc to be included lol, thats hella impressive
Yeah! You can assign a theme to each character!
0:18 they put the chemicals in the golden grace turnin the friggin tarnished gay
Finally, an elden ring challenge run that includes base game and dlc :D
a good way to start ones day
I'm only 2 minutes in on the video, but this is a super creative premise for a challenge run imo
Thank you, I'm glad you think so!
I just remember, there is a french artists called Sophie Calle, whom challenge herself to use only objects which matches colour, foods, clothes, maybe it was fun just like this
1 hour to please the ocd demons. yes this will do.
You have probably the mot creative runs in the souls community. I love watching them ☺️
This is a super cool concept and run! It’s cool to see challenge runs in souls that aren’t just using no armor or no leveling or whatever but unique concepts
I still think it's kind of hilarious that you can pick up a rusty anchor and beat people to death with it in this game.
I was gonna sleep, but honestly, who needs that when there's another banger video out!
This is so cool and creative! Especially since Elden Ring is so color-oriented. I always always love your runs!
Your runs are always a blast, but this is next level. What a fun, strange run.
I love everything about it.
I love your channel, and I will be back for this video! But I still haven't finished the dlc (character got deleted by freak accident :( ) so once I'm through it I'll be back to finish this vid.
I was about to complain about your run being invalid, but then you said "It's on like Radahn"
My face melted at experiencing a perfect sentence

Brilliant idea! You always find the way to make a truly fun challenge combining varied gameplay with puzzle solving!
Thanks! I had a lot of fun in this playthrough!
Finally, a night shift, no clients, revelry in the challenge. I can’t wait to watch this whole thing
I always love seeing the interesting and unique ideas you have for runs! Really goes to show there's always gonna be new ideas for cool runs to do!
I love these videos, your particular type of challenge runs and commentary is really comforting
Aw, thanks!
would never in a hundred years have thought of this run; super original idea and your execution was great too. well done!
Thanks! :)
I accidentally removed your reply, but to answer your question I think I'm gonna do another Elden Ring video next since I haven't played this game on the channel before now
sounds awesome, looking forward to it!
I see you're adding more puns and jokes in your videos, I knew you're be a great challenge runner
Great idea for a run, instant subscribe. If anyone is going to try this I just wanted to point out that Patches has green armor "Leather Armor"
I love challenge runs that are more about creativity rather than difficulty
I haven't finished Elden Ring yet, and I wanted to play this game for years before I had a compatible computer, but I know i'm gonna like this video so i'm giving my like now
I wouldn't have thought of that idea, truly ingenious.
35:35 - You got the triple-phase attack here! The boss can only do this right towards the end, and it's a beautiful last-ditch effort by the boss.

It would be even more evil if you unequip everything and then cheese the poor defenseless mimic lol
And now my morning will be a good one
Another masterpiece.

Immediately subbed! I love the ideas of color coding!
Nice, another Eleum banger to end the month well
This video was on my home page and I love the creativity with the challenge. Definitely subscribing!
