You’re right! There is actually no facial animation at all. I had plans to do a pass of facial mocap using the iPhone and live link but ran out of time unfortunately.
Wow. This was amazing. I give you a 9.5 out of 10. The 0.5 is 1. As mentioned by others, female character doesn't blink and needs more facial movement. 2. While she is running and when she is cornered at the end, her mouth should be open when she is breathing harder. Other than that, I could not find anything else that needs improvement. Hope to see more of your work. 😃👍
I totally agree with you! I didn't have the opportunity to do any facial animation given the deadline and it's one of the things that bugs me. Art is never finished, only abandoned right? Thanks for checking it out!
It must be easier to make short films with Unreal than...the normal way. Why is there not lots of cool longer sci fi shorts made in Unreal? That Dust sci fi channel here on youtube sucks, and none of their movies are made in Unreal

The look is largely achieved via lighting. I used FilmConvert to achieve the final look.

How long did it take you to make this?
I used a lot of preexisting assets and animations so that cut time down a lot but it was probably about a very intense 4 weeks or so.

Thanks! No this is just normal Unreal rendering. This was done in Unreal 4.25 before Path Tracing was available.
