@@RailandSky It was a long slow journey from the tunnel but I think a lot better for the tourists being able to see many famous buildings on the way into Waterloo. I made that journey a few times before they moved to St Pancras
The Eurostar was built in 14th November 1994. It's top speed 300kmh 186mph and left Waterloo to st Pancras then sadly some were scrapped. Then they go 99mph in the euro tunnel luckily it was repainted to a tgv then had a top speed of 574kmh 357mph sadly the tgvs were scrapped and now there are more rebuilt The end.
No at some point in the history of Eurostar, trains did go to London Waterloo but then got moved. If I remember correctly, those platforms are now in use with SWR.
Domestic SNCF SET that rarely if ever crossed the channel . Built for north of London services that never materialised and subsequently operated after period of storage used by SNCF within Haute de France, Normandy and Picardie . They have silver fronts .
Luckily they have to sound the horn here as they're coming out of a tunnel and straight onto a platform, but any driver who sounds their horn is a legend driver indeed.
I used to obsess over seeing a 373 on gner. Although i only knew them black white-roses, since one or many of them that stayed white were called white rose. On a trip back from wherever we were, my mum split the journey so that we got off a class 91, and took a 373 to london, where that same 91 was going. Good memories. The table lamps were purple!

@@NoamAzerad - they say because of the usage of them through the Channel Tunnel taking its toll, but these particular ones never really operated through there so it’s a mystery why these couldn’t be refurbished (like some of the Eurostar’s and early TGV’s).

It is an old Eurostar indeed. However Class 373's (the train in the video) are in the family of TGV's still. It's also operating a French internal service so is classed as a 'TGV service'... :)
Those horns on the TGV's and the Eurostar trains do pack some power but they do sound lovely. Its the same with the 201 class and the GM 071 class locomotives here in Ireland.

Absolutely brilliant
Me to it’s amazing
These trains used to go through South London at that speed-miss them. Now they go through the tunnels on the High Speed Line under North London

Yeah very true. It’s now just industrial side of Essex. However St Pancras is a lovely station.

All wrong, the 373's maximum top speed is 208 MPH, they travel at around 140 MPH through the euro tunnel

Almost nostalgic now this video
It definitely is - it was a throwback to the past having these operate this route. All of them had pretty much the original Eurostar interior!
At some point that same set would possibly have been with GNER between London and Leeds/York?
Most likely!
It did happen, GNER lended a few Class 373's. Dont know the reason. There is footage on youtube!

How do you actually operate the horn. I mean how do you make it go from one tone to another.
