    Props to you for being confident and having acne doesn't stop you from being confident with or without makeup!!! I struggle with a lot of acne on my forehead and it makes me have such low self esteem even with makeup on because of the texture but seeing videos like yours makes me want to be more confident and not let my acne stop me from loving myself!

      Aw Iris I'm so so happy to hear that I could be of help! I too get self conscious about my skin, especially on my bad skin days, but at the end of the day our imperfections make us who we are, and what helps me is to know that no matter what I look like, I'm enough just as I am, and so are you! You sound like you have such a loving, sweet personality and that is true beauty in my eyes. You deserve to love yourself because you are amazing! xx ♡

    I love how my skin looks in studio lights and Ill feel so confident and then I go to the bathroom at school and the natural light/ school light makes me lose all confidence I have. My face looks powdery and flakey and cakey...ugh

    • @MeganDixon

      alright. aw sweetheart, I can empathise with you so much, I always tried to cover my acne with layer upon layer of makeup. A couple tricks you can try is to do your makeup in natural lighting, and also use minimal product on the places where you don't need as fuller coverage, and just apply a bit more to the places you do like acne spots or scarring, etc. also try using a setting spray to help get rid of that powdery finish to the skin xx

    I love how you aren't like the other UA-camrs with like perfect skin going, "Ahhh, I look soooooo awful, you guys, just look at all these blemishes!!!" Instead you seem happy despite your imperfections (which of course only makes you more beautiful!) I hope someday I can feel beautiful despite my acne.

    JUST a tip, not hating or being cruel or anything like that- in my opinion, when you use concealer over your problem areas such as breakouts before you put on foundation, it looks much better. when you do it the other way around (foundation then spot conceal) I just feel like the spots where you put concealer on stand out a lot. I used to do it the way you do until I figured out it looks much better when you spot conceal first, then apply foundation. I also suffer from severe acne and I've been doing this whole covering up thing for years. I love your eye makeup by the way, and you're beautiful.😊💓

    • @MeganDixon
      @MeganDixon  6 років тому +4

      Thank you Janelle, don't worry I am not offended love, Thank you so much for your tip and I am definitely going to try that tip out! I hope your acne gets better love and thank you so much for your kind compliment ♥️♥️

    • @MK-rd9dd
      @MK-rd9dd 5 років тому +1

      Just fyi, there are a couple of reasons that many people conceal after applying foundation. First, it helps you use less concealer...once you apply foundation of BB cream, you can tell what *really* needs to be concealed. Things you may think need concealer often disappear with your foundation application. Second, depending on the type of foundation you use, you can easily disrupt the concealer with a foundation application, creating a mess.

    I love how much confidence you have 😊 I only break out now on my chin and sometimes my cheeks and I don't feel comfortable 😔 I only wear a tinted moisturizer because I haven't found a foundation i like and won't separate on my oily areas which is my Tzone... also I don't like how foundation feels on my face...

      Thank you so much Marquardt Family ♥️ You are so kind. It's definitely been a journey to find this confidence ahaha. But Love I'm sure you are just so beautiful that you're acne breakouts don't make a difference to how others see you. Plus I get what you mean, on a day to day basis I usually only wear a light foundation or tinted moisturiser/bb cream because it is more comfortable 😊
      Have a blessed day Hun xx

    one major thing to know when dealing w heavy acne is do not try to use so much makeup, I know most are embarrassed ( as I have been lately trying to cover the big one on my left cheek // this bipolar weather in Texas is horrid ) but this only clogs the pores more. Also, don't go commando on the moisturizer, even for a dry skinned person like myself, I notice when I try to really moisturize, my face is only clogged more. What you want to do instead is moisturize the skin that is clear and leave the bumps plain. You can buy over the counter acne medicine, hydrocortisone cream, anything that will reduce inflammation and itching within the acne and apply that as your moisturizer. For primer, mineral primers like Benefit Porefessional's primer will cover but not clog your skin, Nivea Men's Post Balm Shave Cream has been my ultimate favorite and it cools the face ( post balm shave creams are to cool the irritation after one shaves and this helps prevent acne from developing and moisturizes the skin ). Lastly, put medicine cream of your choice ( like what I mentioned above ) over your acne before putting any makeup product on, ( bc your makeup is sitting on top of the medicine that is aided to help clear the acne and not on your face clogging it ) this protects the acne from being clogged and further irritated and will keep your makeup looking flawless. Hope this helps anyone!

But we can surpass this guys just explore beneficial skin care product and i know we can make this awful skin of our GOOD😊😊 Just believe and don't lost hope . Being confident is the key. Coz u know right now with this acne to our face there's nothing we can do to hide it in person maybe in camera but in person naaah. Just be confident and that's the awesome concealer that u can wear that doesn't look cakey in any skin type😊😊

    I found that after 18 years of acne (mid 30s), oily skin and bad scars, I was allergic to gluten and reacting badly. Since avoiding it, my skin is now normal and don't break out anymore unless I cheat and have gluten then will break out after few hrs for a few days. Also I avoid dimethicone/silicones in products, which break me out. Had tried so many acne products which didn't work so putting this out there for those similar to me.

    You should try Estée Lauder double wear maximum cover foundation! I've never used anything like it and I keep going back to it. The only thing I have to say it's very matte and dries quickly. You gotta work fast and putting it on the back of your hand is worst thing you can do. I don't even recommend dotting all over face and blending but rather working in sections and dotting in the area you're going to blend out first. I'm so glad to come across channels like this. Keep making videos 💕💕💕 I hate to just comment recommendation but this foundation saves so much time if you're trying to cover acne.

      Melanie Racela Don't be shy because of your acne! People who judge you and look down upon you for it are not worth your time!! I had acne for AGEEEES, and I mean *acne*--not what a lot of girls call acne a.k.a. a few pimples here and there. I thought I would have it forever, but it finally went away for the most part once I was 20. It will get better love. Just remember that!! It won't be there forever! And you have all your other beautiful features such as your eyes and hair and lips and eyelashes and eyebrows; one feature shouldn't bring you down! Look at all the other beautiful things about yourself :)

    I recommend putting concealer under your foundation after the correcter and use a color darker than your skin because if you use the brightening one it will make your blemishes pop out more! This is what I do!

    I've been using the revlon for ages because it was the one that gave me a full coverage, lasted all day, no shine, anything but it's full of chemical, paraben etc so I stopped using it and now I use the Note cosmetics Detox foundation and it's full coverage.

      Megan Dixon hey just an extra tip, hope it helps, my skin was horrible and the only thing that helped was Accutane, its extremely harsh but I did it for 6 months and good bye nodular acne. I use to hate when people would give me tips and advise about products to use for my acne.. I had a co worker who had a son and he had my same type of acne and when i saw the before and after pic after he used the medication; I was impressed!! I had to try it.. It worked you should check the before and after pics of people who used Accutane and you will be amazed ... Im glad that you have the confidence that you have but if you really want to get rid of the acne try the medication it WORKS

I’ve used revlon foundation, but I found out it’s not really gods for skin, especially for acne-prone one, so you can try a full-coverage fndtn by NYX & I also like Fit Me by Maybelline♥️ And I have acne too, so if you’re interested, aloe Vera gel masks are really helping + I have really bad scars (dark marks) and to make them lighter I use Holika Holika sheet masks xxx

    I use to have SEVERE acne it was soooo bad but I went to my dermatologist and they recommended tazorac which I HIGHLY recommend. In the beginning of starting it, it breaks you out REALLY bad for like a month and then the peeling and dry process starts during the bad breakage. But seriously, after a month your skin clears out. It is very strong medicine but I guarantee you that it'll work hella well

    Ik a lot of people have been telling you what will clear up your skin but i just have to tell you of this amazing product like my acne was out of control and no matter what I did it was still there so eventually I went to an actual doctor and they gave me this product named differin adapalene gel and it cleared up my skin in such a short period of time. And you no longer need prescription, if you look up the name you'll find the company sells it online. The only down side is it does dry up your face but if you moisturize then it shouldn't be too much of a problem, but I definitely recommend it, from where I was to now my face is almost completely clear :))

    • @cowboytlz8928

    hey , i don’t know if i could help you with this information now, but yeah ... i’ve also acne, but now it isn’t as worse as it was ... my HOLLY products are : The cleansing gel from Avene ( its from the “clearance series” , the colour is blue... and the hydra Boost moisturizer from Garnier ... please ... don’t use OIL on your face , i have also done this mistake , but believe me , i skipped out all my oil products of my skin care routine, and now my skin is REALLY much more better than before ..
    KEEP your skin away from OIL , Its so important to use just water-based Products , or gels
    love you , i know how hard it is , to have acne ... but i believe in you ... you can do this .. ❤️ AND - You are sooo beautiful with and without make up .. give a f*ck of these people who give you the feeling, that you are nothing ... because you are so beautiful!
