Oh thank you for the kind words! I don't mean to worry anyone, I love beating myself up in a comedic sense. Trust that my self confidence is in space hahaha You probably already know, but you are a beautiful chicken!!! Bok bok ♥️
The struggle is real 😩. But it's nice to see someone (you) with actual acne scars make a video. So many of the UA-camrs who give demonstrations have nearly perfect skin, and I think, "How am I supposed to know if this actually works or not when you don't have skin like mine?"
I knoooow! It's only until you get home after purchasing it that you try it on yourself and either go ok... I can make this work or :/ total flop. I wish I had more time to make videos! There are so many other foundations I want to try and share. Thank you for relating :)

I’m hoping you and anyone else distressed by their textured skin is able to get some relief via TCA Cross, laser, professional skin peels, microneedling, and/or superficial filler injections into the depressions. I’ve seen people’s skin transformation considerably with these techniques. 🩷🤍🩷🤍🩷🤍
Girl, just came up on your video by accident. I’m 45 years old and have struggled with acne since I was about 13. Of course now I have the scars to deal with. Covering or concealing them never goes away. Your video is THE FIRST I’ve see that is done completely zoomed in, making it REAL!! You are awesome and your bravery to do this is beautiful!! You are gorgeous!! 😉❤️
You're an inspiration to me and I'm 68 years old and dealt with pitted scars all my life and You're so young, transparent and honest. My hats off to you sweetie. I know exactly how you feel. Been there!
I too realized that primer or not, foundation is going to look cakey over scars. Thank you very much! For the honest feedback, and for showing all the finer details. I have the same skin.
this is true i do my make up for the past 6 years and it does nothing lols ...... it looks flawless at the start but as the hour pass by goddamnittt it looks so cakey even with the minimal amount of the product h😔😭😭😄
Girl trust me n try this method. Step 1: use a silicon based primer something filling n concentrate on scars. Wait for 1 min n again take same amt of primer n concentrate on scars n massage on scars alone. By doing it 2 times it can help smooth surface Step 2: Use a full coverage cream foundation a liquid one spreads evenly while a cream can perfectly settle in the crators. Dab with fingers or with a cut porous🧽 sponge(cheap one.that has ups n downs tht can reach the crators) not a beauty blender. 1 min again dab product on scars. Doing twice makes smooth (building products) Step 3: Bake with powder on .. and just smoothen with a flat surface sponge. Tip:(1)Avoid anything shiny or shimery or catching light or dewy. Stay matte but not so matte and drying that it might exxagerate textures. (2)EVERY .. I mean every product used must be in your exact shade. Or scars areas n rest of face can look diff. (3)bring attention to lips like a gloss or overline.. All of these might not bring much difference for pretty deeply pitted scars. But doing these don't harm. I won't say love yourself ,tht is mandatory. Use chemical exfoliation, n niacinamide serum, retinols if both don't work. Also find hairstyles to hide that part of your face that makes u insecure as for me it's my right cheek.
thank you so much for this. when I look at other people having skin like this, my first thought is "hey! it doesn't even look that bad, why is she thinking it's gonna bother people" and then realize maybe it's the same with my skin too. maybe people don't even care that much about and I'm just making it a big deal in my head. thank you so much. I love this video💖💖
This was very sweet of you to say :) ❤️ thank you so much, what a great mind and perspective you have. You're right! We are too critical of ourselves, no one else cares as much as we do.
I have skin like this and I'm 42 so I just want to say, nothing ever works great for this kind of skin and that's why it's character building. I spent about $100 chemical peel when I was younger - all my skin hardened like rock and peeled off (causing many golf-ball sized cystic zits because this process REALLY clogs your pores), and when I finally healed from that - my scars came back in exactly the way they had been before my skin peeled off! Later, as an adult, I was sure that laser skin resurfacing by a dermatologist would be the ticket. I paid $500 for the procedure and again, same as the chemical peel - skin hardened and peeled, pores clogged, weeks of healing and guess what? Scars and pits of the healed skin looked exactly the same as they did before the procedure! Truly amazing. Here are the things that I've discovered actually improve the appearance of my oily, -very large-pored, pitted, ice-pick scarred skin (though NOTHING will really hide it or take it away, and we must make peace with that): 1. Steam facials followed by clay mask (Queen Helene mint julep mask or just bentonite clay) once a week. 2. Using a salicylic acid clear foaming cleanser and exfoliating with baking soda at night (though I have had to cut back on the exfoliation since becoming "older.") 3. Shine killer product is helpful but expensive. 4. Pore filling serums and primers have done absolutely nothing for me. 5. Obviously try to fill in the scars with foundation and cover with tons of powder even though it doesn't work great, go out and be seen, then hurry back home to wash it off before it starts to melt and slide off... 6. 2% benzoyl peroxide at night if you still have breakouts, but be sure to cut back if your skin starts peeling... 7. If you get little bits of peeled skin on your face, shave them off with one of those tiny eyebrow razors, this works awesome. These few things are the only things I've found that actually make any difference at all. They do not take away my scars, but I truly have gotten mostly used to it and can tell that people do not notice or mind it and that it doesn't detract from my looks as much as I used to think it did.
I’ve done the same ! But at Walmart they have a microneedling machine for maybe 30 bucks. And that’s the only thing that’s made my scars disappear I’ve done so many peels so many lasers and nothing worked until I took matters in my own hands. I still have scars but it’s not like they were before I hope it helps

Finally someone shows the real deal and here I was thinking I was the only one with this type of skin 🥺 but we are still beautiful and can’t get the scars get the best of us. Love ❤️
For all those suffering with scars my favourite is NX pore filler which is flesh colour and does a great job to fill those scars been using it for years having tried lots of others.
Wish I could've demonstrated a holy Grail product! Hahaha high coverage seems to always come with some "pooling" but I've been wearing it with a primer, powder, and flower matte setting spray and have not been hating the way my face looks at the end of the day!

This is the most real video of someone putting on foundation who does not have what looks like perfect skin. Thank you & if people don’t want to see your face up close, they don’t need to watch!! ❤️ your video
We are in the same boat now. I feel so bad when people ask about the scars. I really untie my hair just to cover up my skin. I have acne for 10 years.even i cried many times infront of mirror. I know it feels . I even pray to clear my face, to fill my scars. Its heart breaking
@@ayeshaazadsamia4561 please join acne.org scar treatments many knowledgeable on this forum for scar treatments. Also feeling bad is natural reaction but you need to remind yourself you can’t control how your skin heals or why you have acne in the first place which led to acne scars. Just wanted to say THANK YOU. My skin is a mirror image of yours as fare as scars go...my skin needs a little work as far as being flaky in some areas and still breaking out occasionally in other places. but THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing this!!!
Keeping it 💯 ! Thank you so much for this! One of the only women I've ever seen on out of all the social media platforms that is showing the real life skin without a filter. Filters have ruined us people! Your skin is beautiful, you have the same skin tone as me and same hair and eye color, very beautiful to see you keeping it all the way real.
Jesus this girl has the prettiest eyes ive ever seen like ik they're not the stereotypical crazy huge or light eyes but something about them just makes her look so fricken gorgeous
Thank you!! Really appreciate your video!! But oh my goodness!.. you’re very pretty, regardless the scars!.. my scarring is like yours, so thanks for the tips and for your honesty!! So AWESOME!! God bless you!!❤️
Honestly just forgo foundation altogether. I have similar issues and half my life I wore foundation in frustration, until finally I came to the realization that nothing would cover my scars. Not only that, but I looked worse with foundation. The best thing I ever did was stop wearing any. Just sunscreen and like you mentioned, a good translucent powder. Get a good vitamin c serum and exfoliate and retinol at night.
Yess me too ! Use nuetragena or w.e its spelled retinol night cream with vitamin c and the day time one as well .. you can get it without the vitamin c in it but it helps skin like this alot .. it's pricey but it's worth it .. I also use nuetragena face wash that gets your skin ready for retinol before the creams and it like makes my skin way better looking faster than just using the creams
Honestly same, now the only thing I do with my skin is to put Aloe creme before bed, sometimes I try to experiment something with it to see if it would somehow make a difference but nyet. Thinking of going to laser theraphy, but it’s just so expansive and I’m scared that it wouldn’t work on me
You are so beautiful 💕 I know exactly what it feels like to have acne scars. There is never a day that goes by when I don’t think about my scars and if people are judging me. It’s a tough battle.
I’m 57 years old with cystic acne scars, stop talking like that, your so beautiful, your eyes, your freckles and did I mention you have perfect lips! My kids have good skin from their father and whether they had my scarred skin or not ACNE MARKS DO NOT DEFINE YOU, YOU DEFINE YOU! Stop being so hard on yourself, embrace yourself and love yourself! You are perfect just the way you are and I get it! Your fan, Stacey NYC
Thank god for you. I feel like others look amazing because of their lighting and setting their in. They look amazing even before they start their make up and it makes me feel like my skin is awful and I’ll never be as beautiful.
Lighting definitely has a lot to do with it, that's why I roll my eyes when they're like "omg this product sucks I know it looks good because if the camera but believe me". Like just turn your ring light off and show me it up close in the unforgiving light of the sun!!!!!
Hahah I loved the dog hair part, I ALWAYS get them in my makeup and it's annoying digging them out because then I have to fix the spot where it was. You earned a sub ! You're awesome.
I have indentation acne scarring too, I made a video on the foundation I use that covers it really well if you want to check out the video! It’s Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation - it really works for my indentations and ice pick scarring!
Thank you soooo much for trailblazing and showing the rest of us. I have scars too so I totally understand the feeling. You are so dang funny!!! OMG...I love it! I'd be interested to watch you apply the method of concealer (dabbing it versus rubbing it in) and then milk of magnesia over that...to see how it holds up and looks... super zoomed in. I got that idea from another You Tuber back from 2015 when she made a video doing just that, but the zoom wasn't as close as yours. That would be so neat to see. Her channel is "Mature beauty & Skin Care." Thank you again for your vid
Refreshing vid. My cheeks are the same.. so annoying. Yes I’ve noticed when my face has no makeup on it looks the best. Definitely the foundation I use accentuates everything and no primer really works.
As an older lady (66) who had acne for years (left with scarring) I want to thank you for this vid. You are really helping anyone sho has been left with the results of chronic acne. You are an inspiration to younger people. Keep up the good work. 😊
Yo you’re being so hard on yourself, you’re seriously so pretty the skin is so minor from an outside perspective .. and I have large pitied scars as well with acne still, I hate my skin I tear up when I go to put makeup on but watching this I realized I’m the hardest and meanest to myself.. the way you’re talking about your skin and what your doing is the same way I talk to myself and it was so saddening to hear it actually spoken out loud by another beautiful woman ….also nobody in real life is ever this close to our face as our HD cameras, I hope you’re kinder to yourself ❤️ I know I’ve learned my attitude really does create my reality. thanks for the time and effort into this review. Side note retina or retinoids help ice picker scars and deep scaring takes about 3-6 moths to start seeing improvement but worth looking into I just started it, you can get retinoids at Ultas if you’d want to try it.
Its okay having a skin type like that, you're still amazing and beautiful, i love your videos its very satisfying when u apply foundation on your face. ❤️ Looking for upcoming videos..
god i feel you on when it comes pitted acne scars i rarely get acne nowadays but i used to have such a horrible time with it as a teen and as a male i was basically told to just deal with it. putting a little make-up on makes me feel better but there is so little content that actually addresses this that isn't (unintentionally, i'm sure) blurry. thank you.
My skin is very similar and I have spent I'm sure thousands on Dermatologist, treatments, products, make up etc. It has taken such a toll on my confidence. I feel your pain, but know you are not alone. I recently got microneedling done and it has helped some but have made some scars worse, I've been literally been praying for a miracle since I was 15 and I'm now 45. I refuse to give up hope. I know I'm beautiful regardless but having clear skin would be nice and one less thing to worry about.
Thank you for posting this real video. I have watched many other UA-cam video tutorials about how to cover acne scars and they usually don’t have the same type of scars. With covid I’ve been trying micro needling and tretinoin again. Not wearing makeup often. I definitely think micro needling helps but it will not give a “perfect” result. But if you decide to try it with realistic goals it can be promising. Any improvement is welcomed in my book. Ps trying to wear makeup all day while using tretinoin sucks! 🤦🏻♀️ Sorry for the long post. But again, I’m really grateful for you sharing this with us all. You’re beautiful 🥰♥️
I have scars too. I have been doing dermarolling and chemical peels at home, and it is really helping. I have also started using retin A (I skip a few days after either derma rolling or chem peel). I’m also looking into the TCA cross method. It’s supposed to work wonders.
I have a scar face with rolling and pitted scars . I use silicone base primer and cream foundation I invest in the more expensive but budget friendly brands like Kat Von D it is cream base full coverage I apply using foam sponges from drug store and cut it so when I apply the foundation to the skin it fits in the holes and then use translucent powder. I have used most of drug store brand and it didn’t work for me . The scars are never full covered but gives the face a fresh clean look .. you are beautiful and thank you for this video ..
Thank you for being so brave. Don't be so hard on yourself you are a beautiful woman. I have the same issues with my skin. You just have to find the right primer and makeup for you. God bless
My skin is about the same.. cheeks and forhead scars. A few years ago I stopped using makeup bc I was just always frustrated with the results and it made me feel worse. I'm now just looking into makeups and skin routines again. I have been using aloe for my cheeks and it makes my skin a tad firmer and diminishes some oil during the day. Clearly everyone's different but I would suggest trying it? It makes me feel like there's been a tad of a difference in just evening out the dark spots and coloration.. all the love to you.. your beautiful and have a VERY nice complexion, I would let that show! Everyone's got blemishes.. I give you props for being the woman to let other woman know they are not alone! No woman should be flawless.. were not babies. Love❤❤❤
you are so beautiful girl and I adore your freckles so much!! I have very similar scarring over my face and one big deeep scar between my eyebrows that draws everyone’s eyes. It’s upsetting to look in the mirror and not like what you see. I’m at the point where I don’t like wearing makeup because it doesn’t even hide my scars, it only ends up making me feel more insecure. I have been researching ways to get rid of deep acne scars and I came across a chemical peel called “TCA Cross.” I think it could help us both, you should look into it!
You're so pretty overall that I automatically see the beauty of all your features togetber instead of any detail of your skin and you have such a calm, soothing voice. Let me know if you ever do guided meditation/sleep videos.
I have been dealing with acne in my teens. Now I'm left with scars and make up just doesn't really cover. Add surgeries are just too expensive so you just deal with it. You just got to tell yourself you're beautiful no matter what
Thanks for your video. We all struggle with different issues, acne scars, large pores, etc. Even after putting a lot of make-up, primers, concealer, foundation, etc we still can see our imperfection. I don't like putting too much on my face either. But as long as we feel good/better after putting on our make-up then we did our best. All beauties are not all from the outside anyway. Nice people will not just like you for just your looks but also for your heart. Keep smiling and be positive. 😊
Girlll I struggle with this same skin but only on my cheeks I don’t like wearing makeup on it because it looks cakey still I wish they create a product that actually fills them in for a smooth look 🇹🇹🏴😔
Thank you for sharing this.I have found that Lumi foundation softens the scars significantly plus its sheer so I can layer it without itbeing too cakey.I have acne scars from acne conglobata and putting cover-up on is a pain the ass.
You have a beautiful personality, in that you are honest with yourself. I was very self conscious at one stage when I had an outburst of acne. Have you thought about dermabrasion & chemical peel?
Thank you for being so open and honest. My face is getting worse as I’m 45 now….I don’t know how to make foundation look okay anymore, I feel horrid up close.
I had an allergic reaction to salicylic acid that left me with some indented scarring on my cheeks and tbh I find that makeup draws more attention to it. I wear zero makeup on my face, I’ll just do a bit on my eyes and some lipstick to draw attention away from the cheeks. I personally feel like you looked better without the makeup!
Hey year late! But you have such a pretty face. My skin is exactly like yours and tbh seeing you really not giving af about what ppl think made me want to embrace my ice pick scars more. Our scars are part of us yk? It’s nice to see something real and natural.
Thanks, the only UA-camr who zooms in and shows us how it actually looks
No problem, hope you're not crying in the club anymore.

We are in the same boat now. I feel so bad when people ask about the scars. I really untie my hair just to cover up my skin. I have acne for 10 years.even i cried many times infront of mirror. I know it feels . I even pray to clear my face, to fill my scars. Its heart breaking
You need to treat scars with tca cross 30 percent monthly
@@TheZubairshakeel thank you ❤️
@@ayeshaazadsamia4561 please join acne.org scar treatments many knowledgeable on this forum for scar treatments. Also feeling bad is natural reaction but you need to remind yourself you can’t control how your skin heals or why you have acne in the first place which led to acne scars. It’s not look you choose to have acne scars. Just say to them f off they are not doctors
@@TheZubairshakeel okay joining.thanks for your help
You're right, she has a very natural beauty and beautiful facial features 👌👌
Hey, Great video! absolutely loved this, so brave and honest. Keep up the hard work, you'll be big!
you’re so beautiful though!! and seriously your skin is so pretty, like no pigmentation and cute freckles !!
I love your positivity!! I’m so happy I found your channel
I am eternally grateful for your positive response 🙏🙏🙏♥️
Thank you for zooming in and showing everything. It makes me feel seen.
Thank you!! Really appreciate your video!! But oh my goodness!.. you’re very pretty, regardless the scars!.. my scarring is like yours, so thanks for the tips and for your honesty!! So AWESOME!! God bless you!!❤️
Such an honest video. Truly said no one gives a closeup like this... I have a similar skin texture and similar issues. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate this video so much! My skin is exactly like this and I’m over watching tutorials and feel like I’m failing at hiding my pores!
More power to you ♥️ You’re beautiful 😍 thank you for this, was much needed 🙏🏼
Honestly just forgo foundation altogether. I have similar issues and half my life I wore foundation in frustration, until finally I came to the realization that nothing would cover my scars. Not only that, but I looked worse with foundation. The best thing I ever did was stop wearing any. Just sunscreen and like you mentioned, a good translucent powder. Get a good vitamin c serum and exfoliate and retinol at night.
can u name exact name of retinol cream ? i have same issues
Thinking of going to laser theraphy, but it’s just so expansive and I’m scared that it wouldn’t work on me
I should do the same...
You can tell you actually have smooth skin . I don’t mind your skin what so ever ❤️ & you have amazing freckles
You are so beautiful 💕 I know exactly what it feels like to have acne scars. There is never a day that goes by when I don’t think about my scars and if people are judging me. It’s a tough battle.
Me too acne scarred my face and also have big pores sometimes I feel like people staring at me but my daughter keeps telling me mom your face is fine.
I love how real you made this 😭 ❤️ close up really helps!
You're awesome.
acne scarring is my worst nightmare. I’m never able to find a foundation that properly covers it.
I have indentation acne scarring too, I made a video on the foundation I use that covers it really well if you want to check out the video! It’s Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation - it really works for my indentations and ice pick scarring!
@@cortneyrhae is that the name of your channel? I’m keen to check your channel out. I have the same skin issues.
Omg my sister has the same acne scars. Im so happy to see a youtuber showing what kind of makeup helps. You are beautiful ❤
My cheeks look just like that and I’ve been searching high and low for a way to fill them. You’re so pretty and I love your freckles
MJsLiberianGyrl I have same skin I find NX pore filler the best doesn’t make the scars disappear but it certainly makes the holes disappear.
Annette Bailey could you share me the picture of the NX PORE FILLER @al_ain_ah Instagram
Mine looks like your face too.
Thank you SO much for this video. I have ice pick scars on my cheeks from cystic acne (which I had in my 20s ugh) and this helped a ton.
Very realistic tutorial. I love it. Thank you very much.
Her channel is "Mature beauty & Skin Care." Thank you again for your vid
you miss, are the realest! and I respect you for that. sending ❤️ from Malaysia
THESE FRECKELS ARE SOOOOO CUTE !
YES!
Girl, your eyes are everything!!! 🥰🥰🥰 and thanks for sharing your video...
Refreshing vid. My cheeks are the same.. so annoying. Yes I’ve noticed when my face has no makeup on it looks the best. Definitely the foundation I use accentuates everything and no primer really works.
Never seen eyes that color. Almost ochre. Brown+orange. Very cool!
You are so beautiful. I have the same kind of scars on my cheeks and really appreciate you uploading this
As an older lady (66) who had acne for years (left with scarring) I want to thank you for this vid. You are really helping anyone sho has been left with the results of chronic acne. You are an inspiration to younger people. Keep up the good work. 😊
My skin is the same but with some discolouration. You're beautiful. Thank you for this video.
❤️ Looking for upcoming videos..
god i feel you on when it comes pitted acne scars
i rarely get acne nowadays but i used to have such a horrible time with it as a teen and as a male i was basically told to just deal with it. putting a little make-up on makes me feel better but there is so little content that actually addresses this that isn't (unintentionally, i'm sure) blurry.
thank you.
This is how my skin looks and i always thought I just had huge pores. Thanks so much for this video xx
I hear you. Thank you for sharing your experiences with micro-needling.
Sorry for the long post.
Girl... this is the realist foundation video I've come across!
Your freckles are so cute. Thank you for making this video. Sometimes I feel so alone with these acne scars. It’s horrible.
God bless
Can I find what primer you use on your skin?
My skin is like yours. You are so pretty. What gorgeous brown eyes.
You are absolutely adorable! Love your freckles too! I totally relate to you, and now I know how to apply! Xoxo Stacey NY
I have the same problem and it makes me self conscious 😢but we still beautiful ❤...thank u for sharing 😘
Love❤❤❤
Sending hugs! Good to know Im not alone! And thank you very much for making this video for people like us!
you are so beautiful girl and I adore your freckles so much!!
Whts the result of tca cross plz give ur response i have same skin type
You're so pretty overall that I automatically see the beauty of all your features togetber instead of any detail of your skin and you have such a calm, soothing voice. Let me know if you ever do guided meditation/sleep videos.
Your eyes are gorgeous!
Your eyes and eyebrows are super gorgeous sweetie
I have been dealing with acne in my teens. Now I'm left with scars and make up just doesn't really cover. Add surgeries are just too expensive so you just deal with it. You just got to tell yourself you're beautiful no matter what
Girl Thank you. I have same type of skin. And this inspired me
Omg your eyes is so pretty 😭😭❤
Thanks for your video. We all struggle with different issues, acne scars, large pores, etc. Even after putting a lot of make-up, primers, concealer, foundation, etc we still can see our imperfection. I don't like putting too much on my face either. But as long as we feel good/better after putting on our make-up then we did our best. All beauties are not all from the outside anyway. Nice people will not just like you for just your looks but also for your heart. Keep smiling and be positive. 😊
I love your honesty ❤️
Have you thought about dermabrasion & chemical peel?
same skin issue 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 i glad you did this video 👏🏻 so real
I love you already ♡
Thanks for this video !
You are a Angel 😇, your the only UA-camr who is being totally truthful. ❤❤❤❤
I have the same problem. It stinks! You are Beautiful!!!
Best video I have ever watched on textured skin make up
Thank you for being so open and honest. My face is getting worse as I’m 45 now….I don’t know how to make foundation look okay anymore, I feel horrid up close.
Exactly what I need, thank you so so so much
I had an allergic reaction to salicylic acid that left me with some indented scarring on my cheeks and tbh I find that makeup draws more attention to it. I wear zero makeup on my face, I’ll just do a bit on my eyes and some lipstick to draw attention away from the cheeks.
I personally feel like you looked better without the makeup!
I saw one with patting powder before everything besides primer and moisturizer.I tried it and it worked.I have these too.
Great Video! I’d love to see more foundation videos from you!!💋
Many thanks Lynette! I have one or two more in my collection... Stay tuned
Hey year late! But you have such a pretty face. My skin is exactly like yours and tbh seeing you really not giving af about what ppl think made me want to embrace my ice pick scars more. Our scars are part of us yk? It’s nice to see something real and natural.
