Very humble man your dad seems to be. He's the best version of himself. Rare to see someone so comfortable in their own skin, not pretentious, not full of BS. Just a really nice bloke. You're a very lucky person indeed to be brought up by someone like him. But I suspect you know that already. Great video.
Great to have a father daughter relationship like this. I have two daughters (35 & 37) and this is how we interact, like equal adults, it’s a great gift 👍
Hi Kate, great to see you chat with dad. Geoff Duke !! my mother in law now aged 90 dated Geoff Duke!!!!!!he took her on the back of his bike and blew her perm out 🤣🤣
Really enjoyed this unusual format. Usernamedad is so relaxed in front of the camera, and as an old biker myself, I could listen to his biking tales all night.
OK, this did it, I am officially in love with yall. Your videos jump around in the most glorious way. My dad has his 70 year Mason pin and was a troop leader for over 40 years. If yall make an American trip, my door is forever open in Texas.
Listening to usernamedad reminds me of mine. He always lusted after a Vincent Rapide/Black Shadow. He drag raced a Norton Commando 850,then built a 1500 cc Aerial Square Four, twin s.u. carbs which ran on nitro methane fuel,(largely built on the kitchen table. Yes it did explode, more than once! He was shocked when I came home with a CB 900f bol' dor at the age of 17 .He immediately started to research working that. Because. I'd be a much lighter pilot. The Aeriel did the Ampol Winter National drag series, big trophy, big memories. Cheers to Steve and usernamebabysis.
Your dad is a gent and a legend Kate, we’re of a similar vintage, I’m 60, I’ve done a lot of similar trips to him. Been down through Bavaria and right down to Croatia
Username dad, you are absolutely right about the scouts, i was brought up on a council estate and was going through some very difficult times at home, the scouts was a way to escape from the viol at home for a couple of hours each week and not have to worry about being at home. Unfortunately i had to give up due to issues at home, but i learnt enough a lot about life skills, being selfless and helping others, especially the elderly, learning to keep going no matter what and how to work as a team, it's a time i won't ever forget. I went into the army at age 16 in 1980, things learnt in the scouts helped me in a big way. I have huge respect for people like yourself who give up your time for youngsters who otherwise would have a pretty poor life. Well done on all your deserved awards.
Absolutely fantastic video Kate. One of my faves you’ve done. Great to see such a great relationship between father and daughter, something I hope to have with my daughter when she’s older. Best wishes to UND.
This was a great interview, Kate. It's always interesting to hear about someone's biking history over the years, and your dad is an absolute legend! Glad your dad is happy in life after 'the job,' I'll be there soon myself. Keep up the great vids.
Your dad seems like my kind of rider. Just a chilled out, cruise around and enjoy the ride sort of guy. Thats exactly how I have always liked to ride bikes.
Great chat. Now I got a better understanding why you guys are so good. It was nice to hear about your stories of the past. Hope to see more stuff like this 👍🏻
So!, how long do we wait to see Usernamedad and Usernamekate touring Iceland and then the USA? Lovely to see how much admiration you have for each other, you're both so proud of each other.
What a lovely vlog Kate, really enjoyed that. What an interesting Dad, done sooo much, loads stories. Thank you for giving us an insight into your life. Your making me feel hungry lol. Take care.
Kate that was really interesting hearing the views of your Dad. Also that he has made sure you learned to ride safely, wearing all the right gear when you started out. His experience and advice over the years sound like pearls of wisdom. 😊
Questions I’d liked asked: which daughter was easier to raise? What bike is ridden for work? If given the choice would you prefer to work carrying a sidearm or not? Congratulations on being awarded the MBE. fun idea with the Q&A with U.N.D.
Kate you have a fantastic dad. Truly a really great fella. Definitely recommend Iceland, did it in a car with my wife and kids, but have to go back and do it on a motorbike... Just amazing.
Firstly enjoyed the Father Daughter vlog, your Dad is a true Gent, I'm just six years older than your Father, but I can relate to a lot of the bikes he rode in his teenage years as a lot of my mates had FS1E's or SS50's, I had for my first bike on road a Little Gilera 50 cc moped, a little Italian job, bet your Dad would know it. And makes me smile to see the lovely interaction you have with your Dad, heart warming. It's funny really though that so many people end up with the big GS, I'm on my third, latest one I had in November last year the 1250 ADV, all the bike you ever need. Thank you for the pleasurable 45 mins, I think you will have to take your Old Man on tour with you and Mike Ha Ha...
Hi Kate, A good blog, what a great Dad you have. I think Steve your Dad was very interesting, and it’s people like him that make Britain 🇬🇧 Great. He helps and encourage young people to see there is a world out there, and put them with dreams and goals in their heads.Your lucky to have such a cool Dad Katie, but you already know that. I look forward to seeing you gear up your Dad so He can do some blogs with you and have interaction.Well done Kate❤️🙏🇸🇪🏍👍🌺
Great video! Enjoy as much time with your old boy as you can. My Dad passed away 2 years ago, miss him so much. Ps I love your personality, you are not scared to have a go xo
My first bike was a BSA M20 sidevalve which I bought for £3 and an old mac in 1956 when I was 14. I used to take it down the fields and usually I pushed it there but one day I rode it, the local bobby saw me and later came to my house and I ended up getting disqualified. Still riding and have 4 bikes at present.
UsernameDad raised you around bikes kind of like I did with my daughter who’s just a little younger than you Kate. He taught and started you on bikes similar to how I started my daughter. Also I think your dad has to admit regardless of if you’re on a bike or a car he would always worry about you some, it’s what a dad does😊
Great video Kate, what a great Dad you have. Totally agree with what he says about training and wearing the right kit. I'm 56 and have been riding since I was 6 years old. Early on I did BMF training, and just through riding sensibly have survived all these years, I've had some close shaves, don't get me wrong, but by riding sensibly, training , good quality kit and a well maintained motorcycle you have a good chance of survival. A couple of years ago I did a Bikesafe day with Northamptonshire Police, fantastic experience , me and a lady rider and the Police motorcyclist out all day one Sunday. This isn't training as such but you take turns in riding ahead of the Police biker and stop occasionally for a debrief of the ride, some pointers given. Well worth the money with lunch included, in our case, packed lunch eaten at Corby Police station. Good stuff Kate and usernameDad ......heart warming to see Dad and daughter doing this. Stay safe, cheers, Daz, Leicester.
Great video, met you years ago (probably early/mid 2016) at rivvi after I was up there taking some photos. Just as a bit of constructive criticism, on this video your mic comes out of the right side and usernamedad's comes out the left when you are sat the other way round, maybe if doing this kind of content make the audio mono so everything comes out both sides. keep up the great work!!
As a fellow liability, I remain undefeated. Old enough to quit being crazy while I am still alive. Though I do love my stupidly overpowered GSXR. Cool video Kate.
OMG! Wow I hadn't got to my comment on my fave yet, (this one rocks as well), but wow! You and Dad had me intrigued from the start! and then, in stiches around 12 mins. in! just had to write while I had my thoughts in, , Ok, first, 1, just to let ya know, you being not the "brightest button", no one believes that, rofl, 2, Dad say "we knew you always were!" omg, shall i go on? I could 4 eva, ok got to finish, cheers! and Thanks ! to you! and Dad! wow good questions too! Awesome! Ride safe, stay cool as you all are!:-)
Thanks for answering my questions guys......Great vid, really enjoyed it. Hopefully you guys will organise a Patreon ride out one day and we can have a good chin wag......thanks again. Danny
RESPECT! to you, usernamedad (Steve) for all that you do and have done. It goes to show that what you are doing is worth it. On a side note - kate do you recommend the K1600B as a good bike for tours. I cant get one anywhere to try.
Hey TDog!! I sold quite an few to people in the past who have used the K1600s for touring, even the bagger! I'd love to advise you on where you can test one but I'm a bit out of the BMW loop now!
Great video. amazing how more people are riding adventure bikes, My tiger 1050 sport is my touring and Sunday bike.. my first time coming off, I had no gloves on 20 on a 100 Suzuki, and now my palm print is smooth. glad your ok from the crash.
That was a great vid to see the wonderful relationship you have with your Dad, what a top guy. I too have two adult daughter's, one that likes riding and one with no interest in it. love them both with all my heart.
I think their relationship is amazing and usernamedad is a great man and very interesting to listen to like the type of man you can listen to all night ride safe the both of you! doing my CBT soon :)
As per your comments about, once you ride a GS it’s game over 😂. I’ve ridden sports bikes and hyper naked for years and test rode an r1250 gsa yesterday for the first time. It’s game over. I’ve bought one. Unreal machine.
Had this on in background today as having to take it easy atm. Kate . I am in mid 50's & suspect your Dad (Steve) & I may have a some "job" background similarities 😉. You both come across as decent & grounded. Thanks both 👍🏍
Hi Kate. I really love your videos. And i like username dad. Such a cool dad. You re so lucky to have each other. Best wishes for all your future endeavours from Greece. Would love to see you here with dad
Hi Kate, this was great vlog. Your dads recall of his early bikes has started me down memory lane. My first ever bike was a 49cc NSU Quickly, circa 1954, followed by a Francis Barnet 197cc. circa 1956. The FB was instrumental in me meeting my future wife (see. thumbnail) I knew she was going to be my future life partner when on collecting her on an early date she appeared in a lovely kingfisher blues motorcycle suit and a white crash helmet.
Hi Kate, please mention to username Dad I knew the man who owned the 350 Francis Beart. He kept it in his front room, until a knock came on the door from a man with a blank cheque ! He was acting on behalf of a consortium of French business men who had the 500 and needed to take a mould of his fairing to get it totally original. I remember the bike well a pastel green colour. The guy was already minted and had a ton of spares with it. He used to lend it to a ex famous racer for exhibition rides. Also regarding the mobylette my brother had one which he took the bicycle seat off, made a racing seat where the parcel shelf was, made some rear facing handlebars and got stopped by some laughing Policemen. He got escorted home and told to but it back to standard or else . Happy days, clip around the lughole was all that was needed. Keep up the good work. Regards, Jon from Dewsbury.
I also had my first test on a Honda h100, also in the early 80’s. Chap failed me said my indicators weren’t flashing fast enough yer battery’s rubbish. Great bike though, loved it
I'm really going to have to get more disciplined in reading emails and patreon, some great questions and answers, and at the same agency 58, he's aged a lot better then me. But I'll blame that on a run in with a 12 wheel HGV (managed to go under 6 of them👍)
interrupting Usernnamedad when hes eating his chips.... naughty lol hes such a character lol Hope the muppet who complained about you wearing gear sees this... makes him look more stupid
No daughter although we tried……….gave up after having three sons. 😂. Having three sons here in the U.S. and being from Liverpool it’s like a comedy club when we get together. Love the video, which I have to be honest I rarely watch these type of video interviews, but your Dad seems to be a pretty down to earth person, so I watched it all the way through 👍👍
Hey🐊. Didn't your mum tell you.not to talk with your mouth full? 🤪🤣 Great video mate. And... I can see you and Steve doing Iceland for your channel. Go on girl.
Loved this vid. My dad didn't want me to get a bike but in 1982 I got one. He rode it up the road in flip flops with shorts on. He was RASC as a national service man. One question tho, does a viscount get a discount at the till?
So how long was he a bike cop. Forget iceland come to Australia and ride around here. Imagine riding 4000klms and still being in the same state. I did an 18hr trip from southeast Queensland to Perth in west Australia. Longest trip I've done.
You've obviously been over for the Isle of Man TT, i dont see any vlogs of trip besides a short vid of a trip over the mountain. Any plans to do a proper TT vlog ?
My past trips to the Isle of Man were before I was vlogging properly and I just filmed a few little things to show my dad which I then uploaded. I'd love to do a full TT vlog. That would be great! Just need to get over there. Maybe next year 😁
You should ask your dad if he would be interested in passing on his skills to other motorcyclists. Hell I'd pay his petrol costs for his time and instruction.
A Mbe In scouts is a respectful award.. Boy Scouts isn't about outdoors it's a like Shakespeare translation to get boys out the House and even further the big world we live in.... good video
I felt the same about my Speed Twin that Usernamedad felt about his R80GS. I used to dream about it years after I sold it. Worst life decision I ever made. I did unmentionable things to it and it was such a forgiving bike. *sigh*
I suppose if that's you're worst life decision, I'd say you're doing pretty well!! There will always be the ones that get away but the memories live on 😊
That is a lovely video I feel very selfish now I have always steered my daughter away from motorcycles although I am a biker myself, you are a very good rider Kate and I can see your Dad is proud of you 🎉😊
Very humble man your dad seems to be.
Agreed. This is a gift!
Lovely comment and love your username, made me chuckle, cheers.

Absolutely love this Kate.... brilliant vid 👏 👍
Dad is a real nice bloke. He’s also a brilliant rider. Nice having a motorcyclist n the fam. Tell him you love him
Recent convert to your channel and wasn't particularly interested at 1st, within a few minutes your dad had me gripped, what a lovely genuine chap.
👍👍👌👌 loverly vid Kate and ya dad
Hi Kate, great to see you chat with dad. Geoff Duke !! my mother in law now aged 90 dated Geoff Duke!!!!!!he took her on the back of his bike and blew her perm out 🤣🤣
Love your dad, clearly you and your sis are a great reflection of a loving family.
Really enjoyed this unusual format. Usernamedad is so relaxed in front of the camera, and as an old biker myself, I could listen to his biking tales all night.

USERNAMEDAD IS A LEGEND IN THESE PARTS.
One of the best vids you ever done Kate. The old fella is a legend.
What a great dad you have Kate. Very lucky you are. Learn all you can from him. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Thanks David 😊
Your dad is a gent and a legend Kate, we’re of a similar vintage, I’m 60, I’ve done a lot of similar trips to him. Been down through Bavaria and right down to Croatia
Let me know when USA bound and I’ll leave the porch light on and room for bikes in garage. Charleston, SC. 🏍
Excellent! Bravo!
Dad got all the best answers 👌

Kate this is one of the best vlogs that you have done. Your Dad is amazing, I can see where both you and your sister get their grounding from.
+1😜
Bit late to the party on this one as far as watching it, but I'm glad I did! What a proper nice bloke your dad is, brilliant video Kate. 👍👌
Aww that means a lot Jamie! I have another vlog with dad coming out on Sunday 😊
“Mad as a box of frogs” I’m keeping that one!
Top bloke that username Dad.
Username Dad is such a boss. I could listen to his stories for hours. You two are definitely peas of the same pod.💪🏻🤩

Looks like you had a great time with your Dad and so did I. Very enjoyable, glad you did this.
That was great Kate and Steve. Loved that one, Keep up the great work Kate!😊😊
Kate, you dad is an inspiration, I can’t help thinking that he would be a star on bru time pod cast ! Give Bruce a call!!!

No way!! That sucks
UsernameDad raised you around bikes kind of like I did with my daughter who’s just a little younger than you Kate. He taught and started you on bikes similar to how I started my daughter. That was a brilliant and engaging. Love the dynamic between you two. Great outtakes at the end too.
been putting this one off because of the length of it but so glad I finally watched it, thoroughly informative and entertaining
Sorry, we do jabber on!! 🤣
Great vid Kate - love this kind of content
Great video, met you years ago (probably early/mid 2016) at rivvi after I was up there taking some photos. Just as a bit of constructive criticism, on this video your mic comes out of the right side and usernamedad's comes out the left when you are sat the other way round, maybe if doing this kind of content make the audio mono so everything comes out both sides. keep up the great work!!
As a fellow liability, I remain undefeated. Old enough to quit being crazy while I am still alive. Though I do love my stupidly overpowered GSXR. Cool video Kate.
Fellow liability 🤣 you crack me up
Great video. amazing how more people are riding adventure bikes, My tiger 1050 sport is my touring and Sunday bike.. my first time coming off, I had no gloves on 20 on a 100 Suzuki, and now my palm print is smooth. glad your ok from the crash.
Damn that sounds painful! And thanks! I'm doing okay 😁
That was a great vid to see the wonderful relationship you have with your Dad, what a top guy.
I too have two adult daughter's, one that likes riding and one with no interest in it. love them both with all my heart.
Great interview Kate. Would be great to see more like it. 👍
I think their relationship is amazing and usernamedad is a great man and very interesting to listen to like the type of man you can listen to all night ride safe the both of you! doing my CBT soon :)
Hey Kate,I'm old enough to recognise the bikes your dad was talking about.Top bloke Steve.
He is a good egg 🥚 Trevor! Thanks for watching it 😊
As per your comments about, once you ride a GS it’s game over 😂. I’ve ridden sports bikes and hyper naked for years and test rode an r1250 gsa yesterday for the first time. It’s game over. I’ve bought one. Unreal machine.

Hi Kate. I really love your videos. And i like username dad. Such a cool dad. You re so lucky to have each other. Best wishes for all your future endeavours from Greece. Would love to see you here with dad
My Dad was also a Police motorcyclist. He also knew it was pointless trying to stop me getting a bike. It's either in the blood or it isn't !!
Your channel & reviews are the best! Could listen to you all day! 100K by xmas i hope. AU
Fingers crossed!
Hi Kate, this was great vlog. Your dads recall of his early bikes has started me down memory lane.
But I'll blame that on a run in with a 12 wheel HGV (managed to go under 6 of them👍)
Reminds me of when I went to take test (on instructor’s bike) asked to demonstrate using horn and bloody thing didn’t work. Test cancelled
interrupting Usernnamedad when hes eating his chips.... naughty lol
hes such a character lol
Hope the muppet who complained about you wearing gear sees this... makes him look more stupid
Your dad should have his own channel...discussing classic bikes?
Right?!?!! Take notes dad!
Good Man, Missandflyer just did a 3 weeks tour around north west, Canada, USA, on a rented GS.
No daughter although we tried……….gave up after having three sons. 😂. Having three sons here in the U.S. and being from Liverpool it’s like a comedy club when we get together. Hey🐊. Didn't your mum tell you.not to talk with your mouth full? 🤪🤣 Great video mate. And... I can see you and Steve doing Iceland for your channel. Go on girl.
Man, I loved this.. I listened while I worked, You 2 should defo do a podcast.. You are both Awesome
❤️❤️❤️
My dad's first bike was a Honda cx-500! 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Loved this vid. My dad didn't want me to get a bike but in 1982 I got one. He rode it up the road in flip flops with shorts on. He was RASC as a national service man. One question tho, does a viscount get a discount at the till?
Great video and great advice really enjoying it.
So how long was he a bike cop. Forget iceland come to Australia and ride around here. Imagine riding 4000klms and still being in the same state. I did an 18hr trip from southeast Queensland to Perth in west Australia. Longest trip I've done.
what a wonderful man. very clever and interesting, A great person. xx
Great video Kate👍
I have a question Kate. Where did your sister learn to spake proper? 😀
I'm sure he will read this!!! Cheers Gary!
A Mbe In scouts is a respectful award.. Boy Scouts isn't about outdoors it's a like Shakespeare translation to get boys out the House and even further the big world we live in.... good video
Wish I would have listened to username dad more years ago
I felt the same about my Speed Twin that Usernamedad felt about his R80GS. I used to dream about it years after I sold it. Worst life decision I ever made. I did unmentionable things to it and it was such a forgiving bike. *sigh*
I suppose if that's you're worst life decision, I'd say you're doing pretty well!! There will always be the ones that get away but the memories live on 😊
Really enjoyed that ,very interesting , nice to see your Dads view too #job
Aw thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
A lovely idea Kate great to see you spending time with your dad ride safe lovely looking forward to the next vlog only one username Kate...
That is a lovely video I feel very selfish now I have always steered my daughter away from motorcycles although I am a biker myself, you are a very good rider Kate and I can see your Dad is proud of you 🎉😊
