On the 2023 RAV4 Hybrid, a cable is not used. The phone talks to the car wirelessly. It is not communicating

Can you clarify if you enabled or disabled accessories please. The video says to disable it, but that setting he says to disable is to not allow accessories to connect to the iphone without entering your passcode or using face idea. Enabling it allows accessories (carplay) to connect wirthourt FACE ID or passcode. Thanks.

iPhone 12 won’t project to Carplay
I have a 2022 Kia EV6 and an iPhone 12 Pro that CarPlay worked fine with for the past 18 mos. The car only has wired CarPlay. Now the phone won’t project.
Other iPhones work in my car. My phone won’t project to CarPlay in other cars. It’s not the cable, Siri is enabled, not the settings/ privacy.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled my car in my Bluetooth phone settings.
When I plug in my phone the car detects the phone via USB but it won’t project to the car screen.
It stopped working a couple weeks ago so no upgraded to iOS 17.0.3 but it didn’t help.
I also blew out my phone lightning port with compressed air. I have tried everything I have seen that might fix the “phone is not responding” problem but nothing works. What next?

Im in the same but with IPhone 12 Pro Max and with hyundai Accent 2018
I suppose that is iOS 17

Exactly the same problem here! I see your sollution with the VPN, doesn't work for me as I never used VPN and there is no connection to VPN......
Who has the sollution for me? It drives me crazy.....

I have shifted from Android to iPhone 15 after more than a decade… car play does not connect at all. I recently reset my car system to check….. but this also didn’t solve the issue.
Now if it’s really about the so called mandatory use of “lighting cable” then it’s a big time sham.
