I suddenly lost Car Play completely, your first tip disabling Content & Privacy Restrictions fixed the problem! My Car Play had went away after an iOS 18 Beta upgrade. Thanks
None of the above worked on my 2024 Subaru Outback Touring. iPhone 12 pro and wifes 14 both worked great before doing iPhone update but now neither work.
I got the same issue, but sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Have done all of these things, but had no success. I got to call to apple support, but they said it’s probably a multimedia malfunction. Don’t agree, once my wife’s iPhone 11 works pretty well with the same iOS version 17.4.1. Don’t know what to do anymore. My iPhone is 13. Should behave just like hers.
when i connect via Apple cord, my car says it’s connected, then 2 seconds later says it isn’t, then 2 seconds later says it is, etc. Only way I’ve figured out to fix it is to turn off and on my phone… EVERY TIME I start my car!!!
Why is that that big of a problem. If you use these screens that are not build for the car, u can’t expect everything to work perfectly. So it is what it is.
found out it was because I had VPN on for my phone. I turn the VPN off when I connect my phone, then once it’s connected, I turn the VPN back on. I have to do that with my laptop at coffee shops and other public wifi, too
tried all steps but it was the cable which was the issue. Looks like the new iPhone need high powered cable for CarPlay. It worked with the new cable. 👍
I can connect my iPhone 14 Pro with my 2022 Toyota RAV4, and voice commands to play music, ask for the weather, or driving directions work. However, when asking it to send a text message to someone it fails and when asking to send a what’s APP message it says “uh oh something went wrong”, but when opening what’s app the message appears to be sent anyways. Anyone else experiencing similar issues with CarPlay are updating to iOS 17.4.1? Also, if I use the microphone button to dictate text, whatever I say appears two or three times.
@@JoyStudioPlus I haven’t updated my car’s firmware yet. However, the Siri false error also happens when not connected to CarPlay when attempting to send a message to a What’s APP recipient using Siri. Two coworkers of mine have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and an iPhone XR both running iOS 17.4.1, and both of them are experiencing the same issue. However, a third coworker of mine has an iPhone 15 Pro and she does not have this issue when on iOS 17.4.1. So the issue might be a software bug with What’s APP. I have already reached out to What’s APP to report the issue, but I haven’t heard back from them yet.
Unable to connect two CarPlay with WiFi or lead anymore tips

Same here.
Great video. Easy to follow and the solution worked! I had looked at 4-5 other videos that were less complete and obviously did not lead to success.
Yay it worked thank you 🎉

Still won't fucking work. The car is a 2020 and this phone is a brand fucking new 15. This bullshit should not be happening
Merci
