Nice job. I own a 1957 Austin A55 Cambridge with the same engine [ more or less ] which will at some point require a rebuild. Helpful to see the engine out of the car. Thanks.
I am not sure how you timed the cam and distributor but the cam is timed with the dots close together and the distributor with the dots apart as they were in the video. Nice job on the engine though.
The BMC B series engine was used in a number of different cars in the UK and I’ve not had trouble getting parts. I was lucky because the original engine was in the car when I bought it and although it was ceased all the parts were there. I hope you find the parts you need.
Don't know if anyone else noticed, but after about 9 minutes in the video I noticed the yellow fan blade is on backward curvature of the bladed in wrong direction. Common malady, easy to fix.
brings back many memories of rebuilding my '61 mga engine and trans in the early 70's. thanks!

Brilliant stuff, Al! Don't know how you do it.
Excellent stuff. I’m sure you did oil the bores liberally before fitting your pistons but didn’t look wet? And on a minor point, paint those nuts!
Yes plenty of oil Andy and assembly fluid on all the other moving parts and bearings

that's how i remember it too. but i suppose one could set up the sparkplug wires or distributor itself to compensate if it's 180 degrees out. IDK.
Where do you get parts for that engine, I have a Nash metropolitan 1500 and is the same engine but is hard to get the small parts

Thanks Barney, someone pointed this out on another group and I’ve turned it around. Top spot 😉
